Online stationary store. Good business or not?

Hi there! Long time lurker here. Just wanted to get feedback from this wise community.

As title, do you think online stationary store is a viable business?

What things should one consider? What could the biggest problems to tackle?

I understand it would be hard to compete with big players but thought just as well ask for some advice.

    Thank you

    Cost to have employee

    Posted: 16 Jan 2022 05:36 AM PST

Can someone explain how to figure out the real cost of having an employee if you pay $16 an hour? No benefits. Just PTO. Are there any advantages for the business vs contracting work? I prefer having an employee. Husband wants to use contractors. We are a small business- no employees yet, but we need a customer service position. Colorado.

    Agricultural/forest lands business ideas?

    Posted: 16 Jan 2022 01:47 AM PST

I inherited some forest and agricultural lands. I'm an office guy looking to start my own business but I know next to nothing about agriculture or how I could make the best of them.

My question is: what businesses I could start with these?

Some questions for the business owners of Reddit!! Need some advice and suggestions 18 year old male.

So I have an idea to start a Italian food truck because in my area there is no competition and many people like the idea. But Italian food can be expensive and complex to make fast.

    1. My first question is should I continue with my goal of making an Italian food truck or is the food truck business not worth while anymore. If I should try a food truck would Italian be worth the extra work to have a unique product in the market.

Secondly after graduation I want to get a job and possibly start a small business to make side cash eventually turning it into a primary source of income. I was thinking a business that requires little capital such as lawn cutting. I'm not sure of other business that could be similar since I can only invest around 1k to start.

    1. My second question is would starting a small company trying to make some more cash on the side while trying to build it into a primary income source worth the hassle. And if so what would be some ideas on businesses that could work.

    2. When starting a small side company what is the best way to get customers

I'm looking into starting my own business in the US and was looking for someone in the UK and Canada that would be willing to help with getting snack, candy, soda that isn't available in the US, at a reasonable price!

If you can help or can point me in the direction of someone, it would be greatly appreciated.
