Posted: 29 Jan 2020 11:03 AM PST In recent decades we have seen an increase in the global development of human trafficking and modern-day slavery- especially in the San Francisco-Bay Area. Human trafficking is the dehumanization and objectification of human beings to satisfy the needs of others, usually for economic gain. This manifests in the severe exploitation of human beings, often from low socio-economic grade countries or peoples from disadvantaged backgrounds. The types of exploitations are diverse: sexual exploitation, prostitution, slavery and forced labor, human organ harvesting, etc. This is a worldwide phenomenon that crosses all countries and cultures in all parts of the globe. Israel's National Anti-Trafficking Unit (NATU) coordinates between different government bodies, between government entities, and non-governmental organizations in combatting human trafficking for all purposes. NATU aims to assist the Israeli government in setting up an anti-trafficking policy as well as protecting victims of trafficking by advancing legislation, regulations, and procedures that could combat of human trafficking, identifying new patterns of trafficking and acting to eradicate them, tackling problems as they arise and minimize risks factors, initiating awareness campaigns, professional trainings, research studies and different projects. Sponsored by the San Francisco Collaborative Against Human Trafficking (SFCAHT) on January 31st, Adv. Dina Dominitz will be speaking alongside various Consul Generals at The Global fight Against Human Trafficking at the University of San Francisco to discuss the global effort to stop human trafficking. Please join us to learn more information about how to spot and stop human trafficking. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Jan 2020 06:15 AM PST I have been renting a parking space behind a house in a large city for 8 years now. I keep a vehicle there that I don't use very much. When I went to check on it last, it was gone. Found out that it has been towed away by the LL and subsequently scrapped. Apparently they didn't know who's car it was and they wanted to give the space to a new tenant in the building. The landlord is a professional investment & property management company with a number of properties in the area, but nonetheless a small, family-run business. Apparently there was some poor record-keeping, the son had to take over the business, and this was an honest mistake. - but a mistake nonetheless, and I intend to seek compensation. I have been paying rent on the parking spot continually with bank checks that say "Parking at XX Rd" with my name and address. I have a lease for "parking at XX address" with our names and contact info. I have email records with landlord from when I bought the vehicle, notifying him that I had a new car with make, model, color, and confirming my contact info, phone # etc. I never received any notice about disposing of the vehicle or terminating the lease - not by phone, mail or email. LL claims that he was unable to contact me, and apparently thought the checks he was cashing were for another parking spot. I am thinking to ask for the current Blue Book value of the vehicle plus any rent overpaid since it was towed, and then formally terminate the lease and release all responsibility for the vehicle to the LL. (In case the towing company comes after me for the towing and storage fees). Are there other legal issues at stake here? What do you think I should do? Location: Boston, MA USA. (If anyone's curios, I did try to post this last month, but in a long rambling format that only resulted in subjective discussion on the car itself) [link] [comments] |
Found a human tooth in my lasagna. Posted: 28 Jan 2020 03:35 PM PST ***EDIT*** I'm going to file a report with the FDA and see what happens. I fear that we may never know the truth behind the lasagna tooth :( TLDR: found tooth in lasagna. lasagna company offered $250 dollars to close the case. they didnt really take responsibility for it, but want to end their investigation (in my opinion prematurely) I won't be able to name specific companies involved or anything because of an outstanding claim that exists with this specific lasagna company's insurance, but hopefully I can get some advice. We live in Salt Lake City Utah A few months ago I was eating some frozen lasagna and chomped down on something hard. Looking back it's actually kind of funny, because I was eating while playing a game and was momentarily too distracted to realize what I had bitten down on. I soon figured out it was a tooth. Pretty fucking grossed out, but nothing bad really happened. I assumed this would just end up being a funny and slightly disturbing story to tell. My fiance's mother was really concerned when we told her. She convinced us that it was a matter of public safety, and we should report it somehow. So we filed a claim with the grocer's health department and waited to hear back. They gave us a bit of a run around, transfering us from one 'adjuster' to the next. Eventually they requested we send the tooth to them in the mail for analysis. (I had saved it like a serial killer in the fridge -- warning: tooth). So, some time goes by and their representative emails us back confirming that not only was it a human tooth, but somehow a child's tooth? Fucking nasty. My favorite food is ruined forever. Around this time, they had transferred us to people on behalf of the lasagna company and washed their hands of the situation I suppose. The lasagna folks announce to us that they have filed an official insurance claim and that we were to wait for the next steps. I guess at this point we were only hoping for some sort of resolution. How did a kid's tooth get in the lasagna? Was there... gulp ... the remains of the rest of the child spread throughout thousands of lasagnas worldwide? Was it some sort of kid sweatshop? My friend's joked that I should sue them or something, but for what? For being grossed out? I had no medical bills or anything. I just wanted to see the results of their investigation, and at the very least get my lasagna purchase reimbursed. The last thing we have heard is that they don't know where the tooth came from and that their investigation is essentially over. Their insurance agent offered us $250 dollars and wanted to close the case. Personally I was stunned that they offered us money. My fiancee and her mother urged me to not take it. They are worried that the company is just trying to pay us off and sweep the situation under the rug. As far as I know, there will be no recall of products and no further investigation. I guess my main question is: do we have a moral obligation to keep pushing the claim until this company takes some sort of actionable responsibility for the incident? It feels like there could be something scummy going on here. I know the WHO takes these things pretty seriously, but nothing like this has ever happened so I'm not really sure what my rights or obligations are. thanks for reading, cheers [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Jan 2020 06:35 AM PST Texas: I signed a lease for a place 6 years ago, and have paid (mostly) on time. Right now I am current. Recently I have been working a better paying job, which my landlady noticed and has tried to increase my rent. The problem is that there are holes in my walls from her unfinished projects, plywood exposed in the kitchen placed there to cover gaping holes in the floor and in general the place could soon be condemned. I don't have much in savings, but could probably come up with enough to move, and have some friends to help move my stuff, but would prefer the 30 days started in the lease. What can I do? My mother is telling people my boyfriend is a rapist. Posted: 29 Jan 2020 03:04 AM PST Located in Brisbane Australia. We're currently in the midst of getting a no contact protection order against her due to I guess semi-related harassment. She's spent the past 3 weeks trying to call me and stalking me over fb abusing me because I've removed her from my life. It's now escalated to her telling people he is a rapist. I've gone to the ex girlfriend she was claiming told her that he had raped her, and she swears on her life that nothing has ever happened along those lines and she would never suggest it just to get back at him. As mentioned earlier in my post, we have the paperwork ready to file it at the courts, and we're hoping it's a full no contact. Is this something we're able to put in our application? My only dilemma is this is something she screamed at me over the phone about it, so I don't have anything in writing (apart from my messages to his ex about it). Are we still able to put this is in our application as grounds so that she can never contact us again? [link] [comments] |
PayPal allowed a buyer to steal my wedding dress! Posted: 29 Jan 2020 06:35 AM PST (Me: Oklahoma; buyer: California) I sold my wedding dress (in pristine condition) to a buyer, who then turned around and claimed major damage when received. She claimed things like rips and blood (!), and wine, even though I wore it only a few hours for an elopement, and there was no wine at all and definitely no blood. I was shocked and furious, because I knew the dress was in perfect condition when shipped, but per policy, I had to accept my dress back and return the almost $800 I sold it for. Fine. I accepted that, even though I was disappointed. Fast forward a month or so, and PayPal is debiting my account (not my bank account, just my PayPal account), saying I owe them money for the returned dress. Problem is, I never received it. They claim she attempted to return it, signature required, but I never got mail notice -- nor was I even present to receive said dress. The dress was, I suppose, returned to the buyer. Now she has both my dress AND my money, and PayPal claims they don't care. In fact, they've turned me over to a collections agency and won't even talk to me about the case anymore. I even elevated the issue to corporate level before the collection notice. I asked how it was even imaginable that she should possess my dress and my money, and they basically said it was my fault for not being present to receive the dress -- that I wasn't made aware was coming -- and I was OUT OF TOWN (I'm a military Reservist). I'm so furious and so dumbfounded that they can get away with this. I called my bank to see what would happen if I paid the PayPal fee and then disputed it with my bank. They felt horrible for me but said I couldn't do that. What recourse do I have? She lives way across the country from me. [link] [comments] |
Can apartment maintenance and clean up crew legally throw away people's things after they've died? Posted: 29 Jan 2020 06:06 AM PST I was notified by the coroner Monday night that my mother had passed away. My brother and I went to her apartment Tuesday morning because we needed to find something indicating what dentist she went to. When we got there, there were people cleaning up. They said that they had thrown her purse and a bunch of other stuff away already, and that the maintenance guy had told them to throw away anything that was "contaminated". My mother kept everything in her purse. It was really important that we get it. Also for any money she had to pay for funeral expenses because she didn't have life insurance. Her phone was also gone. Now they say that we can't go back into the apartment until Thursday when they're done with the clean up. Is it legal to just start throwing stuff away like that? The apartment administration had my contact info listed for her emergency contact, that's how the coroner came to my house, so it's not like they thought she had no immediate family. Plus we don't have any idea now what else was thrown out. It looked like they had cleared out her entire bedroom so far. We are in Indiana [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Jan 2020 07:47 AM PST In 2008 when I was 18 a writing partner and I wrote, casted, coordinated, choreographed, directed a spoof of a popular movie series involving sparkly vampires. We did this show as a part of the young artists council initiative of a theater company in the city that I live in in Minnesota. So technically they produced the show. For months and months all of my time was dedicated to this show. Homeless and living on my friends couches I spent my time on this show. It went on in our Fringe festival and netted somewhere near $23,000. The show was a huge success. My writing partner and I were asked to do interviews. We went to exclusive parties. People wanted to know us. But here's the problem. We never got paid to do the show. Never saw a red cent. So I swore off theatre and vowed to never look back. Anyway the company wants to pick the show back up again and I'm the only one with a copy of the script. As a business owner I promised myself a long time ago that my time was no longer free. I'm wondering how much to charge them in the usage agreement. [link] [comments] |
CO. Someone tried to “rescue” my dog from vehicle and was bitten. Posted: 29 Jan 2020 10:28 AM PST Left my dog in the enclosed bed of my pickup while I ran into a store. Colorado law allows dogs to be left in vehicle if temps are below 70 f. Temps were in the 30s. Camper too big has black out window tint and my dog does not bark at all. You would have to have your face to the glass to see her inside. Came out of the store 10 minutes later to cops arriving to my truck and someone holding there bloody hand. Talked to the police, luckily they agreed conditions were not met for the person to break into my vehicle to "rescue" her. Charged the person with something to do with breaking into a vehicle. Animal control accepted the rabies shot tag on her collar to allow me to take her home with me. And I've sent them all the paper docs including her city registration. I honestly think the person was just trying to see if there was anything worth stealing in the bed of my truck and afterwards made up a story of trying to rescue her. Could the person try and sue me for the bite? According to the last update I got from the police he has a few broken bones in his hand and multiple puncture wounds. Would my vehicle insurance help protect me if I had to fight anything? It sounds like at this point legally we are completely in the clear. There hasn't been any contact from the other party. I just want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row in case I get served. [link] [comments] |
[AL] Pest control company serviced our home without permission Posted: 29 Jan 2020 05:48 AM PST As the title states I am in Alabama and a pest control company we have previously used, but do not have a contract with, came and serviced our house without our knowledge. They called us twice to schedule, both times we were unavailable and they came out anyway yesterday and serviced our exterior which is completely fenced in and gated. We also have two large dogs that were occupying the yard at the time and I'm worried about all the things that could have happened. We only know they came because they billed us for the complete service including interior pest control. It even says on the bill that they made multiple attempts to schedule with us. I honestly have been very unhappy with them and was going to switch companies anyway. Do we have to pay them and is what they did legal? [link] [comments] |
My employer allowed another employee to take my w2. Indiana. Posted: 29 Jan 2020 09:00 AM PST Reposted in hopes of more responses, since this is time sensitive. Long story short, my manager was letting employees grab their own W2's from a stack that was in the office. He wasn't even watching as employees rifled through the stack to find their own. Who knows how many occasions this happened. I know at least 5 people were looking for theirs while I was in the office. Mine has somehow gone missing. My manager told me that he specifically saw it himself yesterday, before I ever arrived at work. While I am worried about the delay in being able to file (because I seriously need the money), I am immensely concerned about my information being at risk. There are plenty of people I work with who I do not trust, and who knows what could happen with literally ALL of my information at their disposal. It should also be noted that they are failing to produce my w2 by the January 31st deadline. Edit: My manager told me that I can't even access my w2 online without a request to corporate that takes a week to process. [link] [comments] |
I've been subpoena'd for a court date in a city 11 hours away Posted: 29 Jan 2020 12:26 PM PST I live in Tennessee. Today a subpoena was issued telling me I am to appear in court on February 6th. They want me to testify against a woman who hit my car in September of 2018, when I lived in North Carolina. This would mean I am driving 11 hours there and back just to appear in court for something that A) Was not my fault and B) happened about a year and a half ago. I don't have the money or vacation time to be leaving work for 2 days on such a short notice. What options do I have? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Jan 2020 02:20 PM PST Illinois. I have a six year old son with Down syndrome. He gets therapies through his school but I also independently hired someone to work with him on occupational therapy tasks that I felt like he could use to work on life skills tasks. The person I hired seemed very nice. Her resume looked good but she said she was a new grad so her references were child care based but she had worked with kids with special needs. She sent me a copy of her degree (now known to be fake) and her references seemed to check out. I had my son in five 60 minute sessions per week. At first he seemed to be happy and initially her reports were very positive. She had 3 other clients besides us and everyone seemed pretty happy with her. We started in September of this year. He was out for a week in November because my wife had a baby and when he went back he kept saying "no no no, no [ms B]", but at the time I chalked it up to him not wanting to go because of the change in routine. After sessions he would complain about being tired and her reports weren't as positive. She told us that we needed to work harder with him at home but her "homework" seemed really weird to us. Like she was expecting him to do multi-step things perfectly or go to time out. When I talked to her about that she seemed flustered and said they were just suggestions but if we wanted him to be successful we should follow them. We ended up basically working on one thing at a time with him and no punishment. He had 3 weeks off at Christmas and he was even less happy about going back after christmas and in the past few weeks his behavior has really gone downhill at school too. When I went to drop him off on Friday I was greeted by one of the other parents who said she was a no show and no one could get ahold of her. She was renting space from a community center and the community center didn't know anything about it. On Friday night I got an email from her saying that she would not be doing therapy anymore and that was it. She told us that she could not offer refunds. Shortly after, I was added into a FB group chat of just the parents of the therapy kids. Apparently when their own kids had begun experiencing similar issues one of them started looking into it and found out that she never graduated from the program she said she did and has no actual credentials. Her references were also fake. When that parent contacted her asking for an explanation, she shut the whole thing down. Her kid is older and more verbal than most of the kids, and said that she would make him do the same thing over and over and would yell if he got it wrong, and that she made the little kids cry too. It seems like she was doing some cruel version of ABA therapy. I volunteered to be the one to post here to get information on how to proceed legally. Who do we report this to? The police? Are we entitled to our money back? What steps can we take to ensure that this doesn't happen again? [link] [comments] |
House was robbed due to alarm company technician error. Posted: 29 Jan 2020 10:04 AM PST Throw away account for personal reasons. Edit: state of Georgia Came home after dinner to find that our house had been robbed. House was ransacked, glass door broken, power was cut, WiFi line was cut, and Valuables had been stolen. Alarm was set that night. We use ADT as an alarm company and there was an active back up battery. But the alarm never went off while the thieves were in the house. When we came home, the alarm was active and went off as usual that night. Didn't even realize we had been broken into until we went into the rooms. We later called an ADT technician to figure out what happened. The technician confirmed that the previous technician had turned off the sensor for the entire basement sector. Apparently, the last time a technician had come (a year ago), they had disabled the connection sensor for the basement door (where the thieves came in). As a result, the door was never armed and hadn't been for over a year. Info: the reason why the technician came a year ago was because the alarm kept going off randomly at night. They had identified it to be an issue with the basement window and they said they turned off the hard wire alarm sensor for the window and replaced it with a wireless sensors. But In turning off the the window sensor, they had deactivated the entire basement sector. Since the incident, my mom hasn't been able to sleep peacefully. My parents both have an increased sense of paranoia. Police hasn't been any help in finding the culprits. Looking for legal advice on what I can do to get compensation from the alarm company besides "free services for a year." [link] [comments] |

Posted: 29 Jan 2020 07:32 AM PST So my legally separated wife and I agreed to split up and sold our old house (3years ago). With my money I bought a new house. She bought a pick up truck with hers and ended up blowing the rest and was homeless. We have kids together so I allowed her to move in for a year. During this time I paid the full amount of the mortgage, property taxes and insurance on the house. 4 months ago she moved out and is trying to claim she can take me for 1/2 my house now. I live in Ontario, Canada. [link] [comments] |
Caught in the middle of a clerical error Posted: 29 Jan 2020 05:08 AM PST Okay, here's the situation. In 2018, my wife leased a new car from a local Mazda dealership (we're in Massachusetts). All the paperwork was submitted without issue (everything from insurance, title applications, etc.), and we drove off with a great new car. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago, and my wife signs online to the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles to renew the registration, which expires on the last day of January (in 2 days), and she get's an error saying the registration can't be renewed and she needs to come in. I'll spare you HOURS of conversation with the RMV, the bank (Chase Bank), and the dealership, and get to the issue... When the insurance company filed the original title application, someone entered the wrong bank name and wrong federal ID on the form by mistake. To make matters worse, after the application was submitted to the RMV, someone else made a similar error in not catching the mistake and pushing the paperwork through, resulting in a proper registration, which didn't cause any issues until now. Meanwhile, we never knew any of this was an issue until 2 weeks ago. The bank name was innocuous enough; it was noted as "Chase Auto Finance Corp" instead of "JPMORGAN Chase Bank NA" (same company). The real issue was the incorrect FID. After talking to Chase, they provided us two documents; an affidavit giving us temporary power of attorney to make name changes on the title through the RMV, and a notarized "one-in-the-same" letter explaining that Chase Auto Finance Corp is a registered name owned by JPMORGAN Chase Bank. Further, our insurance company provided us an updated RMA form (title application) with the correct name and FID. None of this worked. The RMV is telling us that in order to renew the registration (which, again, expires in 2 days) we need to fill out a "Duplicate Title Application Form" and personally submit it with the original title! This is a lease...we don't own or possess the original title and I have a hard time believing anyone is going to just give that to us. The RMV told us this could take "weeks to months" to correct. Why is this so difficult to fix, and why are we the ones who have to fix this?? To make it a bit more complicated, we switched insurance providers a few months ago, before we ever knew this was an issue. So the company who made the original error isn't even our provider anymore, and probably won't be too inclined to help. AND the dealership we purchased the lease from has since been bought and the new owners say they aren't responsible and don't even have the original paperwork. Everyone is just pointing fingers at each other, but no one seems to help. And, in 2 days, we'll be paying for insurance and PAYING FOR A LEASE for a car that won't be legal to drive. Any suggestions? [link] [comments] |
eBay scammer said I didn’t send them anything but empty boxes. What are my options? Posted: 29 Jan 2020 10:50 AM PST I buy the latest phones and iPads each year, I love tech! So naturally I sell my phones and iPads shortly after the new one comes in. I have for years, always kept the items in perfect condition, sell locally and make sure each person was happy with their purchase (as for some people spending that much money can be a little scary). Recently mid this month, I sold a top of the line iPad on eBay (as in my small town no one wanted one). It came with a keyboard case as well. A person bought it then immediately asked to change payment methods (away from paypal), and I said no and cancelled. The same person a few days later bought it again and said they changed the visa they had on PayPal and now their good to go, so I waited for PayPal to verify and move the money into my bank account, and sent the items off. A little over a week goes by and I see that they signed to receive the package, and then I get a request for a refund - item not as described. Then post two pictures, one of the box I sent the items in, empty (odd picture) and another of the iPad box, also empty. Then posed it as some cheap innocent question "am I being scammed?". I responded back with my own pictures of the items in the box, in working order and damage free, and included the shipping slip with the exact weight on it, indicating things are indeed in there. I responded to them on eBay to no reply. Infuriating, as they obviously took things out, put them 5 feet to the left and took a picture of the box!!! I can escalate it with eBay this Friday, but PayPal has already refunded the buyer and put a negative amount on my account. Immediately seeing that I froze my bank account attached to PayPal in fear of letting the scammer win. What do I do? What will PayPal do if I refuse to pay them for this? I'm really at a loss and feel cheated and violated because someone simply said they didn't get anything and took a picture that doesn't prove anything! [link] [comments] |
[FL] Overheard my neighbor(who breeds dogs) saying he "wants to get his hands on" my dog. Posted: 29 Jan 2020 12:40 PM PST I'm not sure if there is any action I can take, I certainly don't want to stir up drama on hearsay but also want to have some sort of documentation in case something happens to our dog... My girlfriend and subsequently her dog moved in with me about 6 months ago. He is mixed on paper, but very big and it's likely he has some bull/pit in him. He is very broad in the head and shoulders and excitable so we keep him on a lead when he is outside to keep him contained in our fenced yard since he can jump clear over fences. When they first moved in, he slipped out through the door while we were going into the backyard and got under the fence and went into our neighbors yard on the backside of the property. She went to retrieve him and when she did, discovered that he is breeding dogs. There were probably 6 or so Bull dogs in a cage in the backyard. I have never heard a noise from them in the 3 years I've lived here so this was news to me. I also have no idea if he is legally breeding them or not. I tend to be the kind of neighbor who keeps to themselves unless someone is doing something that directly affects me and my family. The guy at the house asked what kind of dog ours was and her reply was "He is fixed." and then she left. Today, we overheard him from his balcony saying he would "Like to get his hands on that dog" and then described our dogs coloring and size. Then he said dog "belongs to some white lady", so adding 2 and 2 together seems like he was talking about our dog. As soon as he noticed we were looking right at him, he walked inside. I am now extremely uncomfortable. We usually don't leave our dog outside if we aren't home but there have been times where he is outside while we are inside or when we run to the grocery store for an hour. My immediate fear is that the guy might try to come into our yard and take our dog, especially because dog fighting is an issue in our city. I also don't think this would even warrant calling the police to file an incidence report, especially if it means the neighbor gets directly involved. I certainly don't want to stir up resentments on the chance he was just saying in a really, really weird way that our dog is beautiful. But I also feel like if something happens and our dog goes missing, having some sort of record of this incidence would be beneficial. Are there any steps I can take, aside from getting a camera to face the back yard, that would help me if my dog were to go missing in the future and we would have an idea of the suspect but no proof? Can I kick out my 20 year old who threatened my toddler? Posted: 29 Jan 2020 11:39 AM PST From a friend who doesn't have Reddit: My 20 year old (step) son has have behavior issues for the 10+ years I've known him. We let him stay because he has no where else to go. He doesn't seem to care for the toddler as a sibling or even see her as a human being who needs love and attention. Our Echo recorded his friends and him laughing about "Alexa kill [toddler]" He has made veiled threats about hurting others in the family, constantly drinks and smokes, disobeys house rules, etc. I don't think he would hurt a family member but don't want to take the risk. Can I kick him out or do I have to give him "notice" like a landlord? He doesn't pay rent or bills, there is no contract, but he has lived with us his whole life. We live in Rhode Island. Can law enforcement use private text messaging conversations against you? Posted: 29 Jan 2020 01:11 PM PST My friend's cousin is on probation and recently had her phone investigated by her probation officer. Now my prostitute friend is freaking out because she has sent her cousin dozens of texts venting about her interactions with clients. Will law enforcement launch an investigation into my friend for admitting to a crime in what she believed to be a private conversation with a family member? Would my friend's sex-for-money admissions via text message be admissible in court? Is something like this even worth law enforcement's time? Thank you! P.S. My friend is over 21, she has never been in trouble with the law, and she does not engage in any activity that could be perceived as sex trafficking. [link] [comments] |
Any way to amend title and public records for home sale to avoid a stalker? [CO,USA] Posted: 29 Jan 2020 12:10 PM PST I recently moved cities because of this and it wasn't really brought to my attention until after I signed all the paperwork that my name and address are now publicly searchable. I was a renter before this and didn't even think about it. I did some checking and it looks like I could put the house under an anonymous LLC? But that wouldn't help since my name would be on the title history. Is there anything else that could be done? this is in denver [link] [comments] |
My 15 year old(Freshman) is pregnant. It was her 1st time and the father is 17(Senior). (Illinois) Posted: 29 Jan 2020 12:35 PM PST Throwaway/Mobile Two months ago my 15 year old daughter spent 2 hours at her boyfriend's home when I couldn't pick her up from Saturday practice on time( he lives close to their school and we don't live within walking distance) She told me that his dad was there the whole time. She's pregnant. She does not want to be a mom. She's no longer in contact with this guy. Apparently he recently got moved to another school for disciplinary reasons. We're going to take the best course of action for her own well-being and future. My question is: what SHOULD we do legally? I don't want to ruin a young man's life but apparently word around school is "'Thisguy' gets girls pregnant". [link] [comments] |

Car dealership messed up the contract on a new car Posted: 29 Jan 2020 01:47 PM PST So I bought a new car 3 days ago which I can't afford. I thought I could afford it but it turned out being more than I expected and had another expense come up shortly after. I got a call today saying they messed up the contract and accidentally made it monthly payments instead of bi-weekly which I signed up for. Is there any way I can use this to return the car? I don't want to be an asshole but this car will really hurt me financially. Also, I live in Ontario, Canada. [link] [comments] |
