Should I own the same stocks in my brokerage as in my Roth IRA? Posted: 29 Jan 2022 11:23 PM PST Going to max out my Roth IRA (FSKAX, FTIHX), and am also contributing 8% into my 401k. With that being said, is it better to invest extra money into a brokerage or do up my contribution in my 401k? (fairly limited on 401k options so I am currently in a target date fund). And if I am contributing to my brokerage, do I invest in the same index funds as my Roth IRA? I am trying to become FI in my early 40s and just want to know where I am better off investing the extra money to attain my goal. submitted by /u/Wight_Raven [link] [comments]
