A list of freemium b2b tools that helped me Posted: 17 Jan 2022 05:58 AM PST For those who don't know, freemium is a form of monetization and distribution where basic services are provided free of charge while additional features, services or virtual goods are only available for those paying a premium. There are 3 kinds of freemium limitations out there: Functional. A premium unlocks new features. Examples: YouTube Premium (offers ad-free viewing, offline watching, watching videos in the background, etc.), Tinder (the swiping is unlimited, and you also get superlikes, boosts, and other neat things). Quota limitation. You can use the product for free until you reach a certain quota. Examples: Dropbox (storage space quota), Slack (limited number of integrations, messages). Support limitation. A rare format for the b2c sector, it's more of an enterprise-level thing, often associated with OSS-projects (nginx, SphinX, MongoDB, RHEL, elastic) The software is distributed for free, the premium gets you extensive support from the team of developers. Here are some freemium programs that helped me with my small business: Nordigen - Open Banking If you need help when it comes to turning raw transactions into categorized data, help see credit scores, loan, risk and income insights and many more try out nordigen. It's a freemium open banking platform that provides free access to open banking data and premium data insights. They have a free API that connects to more than 1,000 banks. Nordigen is a licensed Account Information Service Provider (AISP), regulated by the The Financial and Capital Market Commission of Latvia and authorized in 31 European countries. As far as services that we actually charge for, our team has worked hard to build add-on services that can. Zoom - Video Call/Conference Zoom is one of the most trusted solutions on the market. Their freemium pricing model allows users to host virtual meeting rooms with 100 concurrent participants, and a 40-minute time restriction. Paid plans offer features such as recording transcripts, company branding, cloud storage, lifted time restrictions and more participants. GitHub - Software Development GIT is a tool used by software developers to store their work in progress (files). It saves a history of the files as they change, and it allows you to make versions (branches) of the collection of files so that you can, for instance, keep a set that are adding a particular new feature. The programmer can also mark a set of files as a "version" and you can recall that specific set and version of files and recall a particular version of that software. Github is a website that provides a service to store your files (in their multitude versions) using GIT, but it goes farther: Github adds a nice web interface on top and the ability to make your code public so that other people can read it or download it. MailChimp - Email Automation MailChimp, the company holding over 60% share of the email industry, offers a free plan for companies who have a database of less than 2,000 contacts. This plan is ideal for companies who are just starting out and will gradually build their email list. Buffer - Social Media Automation Allow users to create one post, schedule it, and see it posted on multiple platforms at once. The freemium plan allows users to plug in up to 3 social media channels with 10 scheduled posts per social channel. Automating and streamlining your social media workflow is key for success. Buffer offers new businesses the opportunity to get started for free and transition to their paid plan once there is a need for more content, more posts, and more accounts. Trello - Project Management Trello is one of the most popular project management and productivity apps, helping teams collaborate, manage projects, and track progress. Their freemium package is one of the most generous there is in the market offering features such as: Unlimited cards Unlimited members Up to 10 boards per Workspace Unlimited Power-Ups per board Unlimited storage (10MB/file) And more This is a perfect example of using the freemium model to earn the trust of prospective customers and converting them into paying ones down the line. Trello helps businesses grow and become more productive. It becomes an indispensable tool in their success making it easier to trust it and ultimately pay for it. [link] [comments] |

How do big creative agencies sustain themselves? Posted: 17 Jan 2022 04:57 AM PST Let's take the creative agency Buck (buck.co) as an example. The company operates in 4 locations (Los Angeles, New York, Sidney, Amsterdam). That's already thousands of dollars in monthly rent. The company has around 300 employees. That's a massive amount of paid monthly salaries. How does Buck generate a stable monthly income to pay all these expenses and sustain themselves? In what price range would they be charging their clients? [link] [comments] |

Vaguely unrelated question, still on topic though: Posted: 16 Jan 2022 11:36 PM PST I know this question doesn't EXACTLY fit into the purpose of this subreddit but I couldn't think of any other place so I figured this is the best. Google doesn't really answer this either. I have to write a paper for my Econ class and made up a company to talk about. Can someone explain what all the differences between all the company classifications are? Like what's the difference between Smith Technology and Smith TechnologIES? What does a company ending in "… Labs" entail? "…Industries"? Can you have a Smith Labs INSIDE of a Smith Industries? Smith Manufacturing? Smith Heavy Industries? Just a rough idea I don't need a lot. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
what is the ideal size for working at a company? Posted: 16 Jan 2022 10:06 PM PST I'm generally talking about a corporation and we can say its the technology industry. I'm mostly talking about will more people working at a company be more or less stressful for the individual working there. [link] [comments] |
