What are my risks going workman’s comp exempt? Posted: 01 Dec 2021 03:58 AM PST For context, my employer wants to assign me to an officer position in his company. I work for him as a salaried employee for my daily duties. In my own time, I have an arrangement with him where I earn 20% of projects that he wants to subcontract to me. I have two options; A) become an officer in which case he wants me to me to be workman's comp exempt, which I don't really know why, or B) I form my own LLC for the subcontract work. Not really sure what my pros and cons are here, aside from write offs with option B. [link] [comments] |
What is the average profit margin for a property development? Posted: 01 Dec 2021 01:28 AM PST I live in a small resort community. A property developer has purchased some land and plans to build a RV park/marina. If he sells out, lots and marina slips, it looks like he will gross $20,000,000. I am very unsure of this company. They were incorporated only 6 months ago, and have only 1 other uncompleted project. My question is what would be the average money spent to develop an RV Park/ Marina? There are 190 RV lots and 194 boat slips. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
