My biggest question for anyone who makes money in business Posted: 14 Sep 2021 10:58 PM PDT I've been wanting to get into business for a long time. I have a job right now as a cashier, but I haven't had any former business training. My job doesn't pay enough and it is becoming tiring feeling like a slave to the machine. If I were to quit, what would be the some of best things I could could do to get a start in business, preferably working my own schedule. (serious answers please). to clarify, i would prefer entrepreneurship but really anything in general. [link] [comments] |

People quickly leaving my place of work Posted: 14 Sep 2021 08:43 AM PDT Hey business folks- I got my dream job. One thing I noticed on my first day is that I only met one person who had been at the company for over 3 years and most had been there for less than 1. This is an organization that's been around for almost 50 years. In the few months I've been working 4 people have resigned. This really seems like a red flag. It is in the health care realm so maybe COVID is impacting that. I guess I'm just curious as to if this is normal. High turnover really seems like a red flag. I've never really worked for an organization like this one and the turn over is starting to make me feel on edge. [link] [comments] |

What makes customers purchase a product online? Posted: 14 Sep 2021 02:03 PM PDT Still need a couple of participants for my MSc marketing dissertation, so if you regularly online shop and have a spare 2-3 minutes I'll leave the survey below. [link] [comments] |
Vids, Articles, Websites to follow to further my interest in business? Posted: 14 Sep 2021 01:36 PM PDT I am currently studying to apply for my schools business school, and while I am doing everything academically, and joining clubs, is there any other way I can increase my interest through videos, articles, websites, books or anything in general? Is this a conflict of interest? Posted: 14 Sep 2021 10:16 AM PDT My father works for a large corporation that sells computer hardware, the business model works where by the Company sells to distributers, who sell to resellers who then sell to the end customer. Naturally I looked into the products they sell and decided that i wanted to become a reseller of thier products because I saw an opportunity to make some money due to the fact that no other resellers really do any advertising ( I can put myself on the front page of Google etc). I told my father that I was registering to become a reseller, not asking him to do anything for me or even help me at all, and he told me that I can't register because it's a conflict of interest for him and puts his job on the line, he would have to declare it to the ethics committee and have all his actions watched for the rest of his career there etc? Can anyone comment on whether the company would see it as a conflict of interest, or even if it appears that way... Thanks [link] [comments] |
China 3PL provider for kitting, assembly, QA, packing, and international shipping Posted: 14 Sep 2021 09:43 AM PDT What has been your experience with 3PL providers in China? Do you have any recommendations? Any tips on who to avoid? I'm getting my vendors in-place for a new product launch. The components on the BOM are manufactured in Shenzhen. My plan was to do the assembly myself (in the EU) before shipping to the distributor in the US, but I realized the tariffs for import just make that too impractical. So now I'm looking for a 3PL provider that can do kitting, very basic assembly, QA, packing, and shipping to the order fulfillment warehouse in the USA. Also, while independent trade unions are sadly illegal in China, I'd prefer to only include organizations in my supply chain that pay fair/living wages to their staff and provide a safe work environment. Does anyone here have experience (good or bad) with 3PL providers in China? [link] [comments] |
