CRM, Sales Automation, Email Cadence's, and Dialer all within a single extension. Posted: 04 Jan 2020 11:09 AM PST I'm hunting for a new CRM, and there have been many good resources posted here so thanks to all who have come before me. I've used a few different CRMs previously, and there are good and bad for each. In a perfect world, I could go to a single company that has an extension-based product to maximize productivity. I know this isn't a perfect world, but combing through all the info here and on the Google machine, it's easy to fall into analysis paralysis. Does anyone have a suggestion I should look at for a closest fit? Thanks! [link] [comments] |

Do full-time sales job cut your hours if you suck? Posted: 04 Jan 2020 01:43 AM PST generally speaking, it seems in the world of part time sales job, they give you hours depending on your performance. Sell well, you get more hours. Sell little, you get your hours cut and they eventually force you to quit like that. Is it any different in a full time sales job? [link] [comments] |
What is a good entry level SDR salary? Posted: 03 Jan 2020 07:27 PM PST Received a job offer yesterday for an entry level SDR role at a 400 person Saas company. Location is Austin, Texas. I have 5 years of sales/customer service experience, however less than a year in the SDR position. I wasn't able to negotiate since they stated that they start all the SDRs at the exact same comp. Breakdown is this $40,000 base paid hourly at $19.23, overtime available but only with managers approval. (unlikely) $2,300 signing bonus - available right away On target earnings for commissions - $1,000/month for 8 qualified meetings, bonus if closed by AE, not a full sales cycle, and doesn't matter if AE closes or not. 100% health, dental and vision 401K - company will match 25% of the first 4% of employee paycheck deferrals for a total of 1% matching contribution. 100% vested, 3 year graded vesting period. Seems kinda shitty imo $1,000 per year in professional development reimbursement Unlimited PTO – 3 weeks mandatory 8 paid sick days and 10 paid holidays Stock options and other bonuses - unknown atm If 80% of quota is met monthly at 6 month mark, you're micro promoted, bump in base and 8 meets a month goes to 10. At 12 month mark same thing happens, but you either become a team lead or AE. Edit: OTE is essentially $54,300 not including benefits and not considering micro promotion/bump at 6 months mark. Pharma sales web-record (hirevue) interview Posted: 03 Jan 2020 07:07 PM PST Anyone have any experience with these in pharma sales? Have one upcoming as an initial interview (14 qs in 35 min). Its my understanding these cannot be based on previous work experience--not sure if this is correct. I assume theyre therefore behavioral? If anyone has any insight thatd be awesome [link] [comments] |

The argument for and against asking how are you? Posted: 03 Jan 2020 02:28 PM PST Curious on your takes in regards to asking a dm how they are upon answering the call. Some people believe it is in-genuine and some people believe it helps open them up. If you believe it helps, why. If you believe it shouldn't be used, why? Do you currently use any alternatives instead of how are you on the intro line? I personally start with Hello dm name, my name with my company, how's a going? Excited to see what your takes are, what you use and why. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
How much do you sell to make what you make? Posted: 03 Jan 2020 02:15 PM PST I just finally hit my goal of $2mil in sales for 2019. This has been my goal for the last three years. I did $1.75mil last year. This year I passed my goal and actually hit $2,116,00- 20% more than last year!Feels amazing, bittersweet because now I'm at roughly $0 again for the new year, but amazing to hit my target. I make 5% of what I sell plus an extra $10k bonus for every million I sell so that puts me at $125,800. Plus I got a $10k/year pay raise at the end of the first quarter for helping train new sales guys we bring on so I'm up (+$7,500)to $133k this year. Aside from the take home pay, my company ordered me a new Tesla Model 3 for my work car for hitting 2mil also. What are you guys bringing home for your sales numbers? [link] [comments] |
Information overloaded and struggling Posted: 03 Jan 2020 01:47 PM PST Hey all - I'm going to preface this by saying I'm an amateur when it comes to sales and admittedly I've relied on a lot of marketing to grow my agency. I'm selling web design & digital marketing solutions to small businesses. It's a pretty dog-eat-dog world as these folks get bombarded daily. I find that I'm getting confused on what I really should be doing when it comes to my sales activities.. I think it's partially information overload because lately I've been consuming a ton of sales material. What approach would you recommend for someone in my space? A sales sequence like the Agoge sequence as recommended by SDR leader at Outreach where you're creating a smaller list, personalizing, and following up with a robust 30 day sequence? Or would it be better to just get on a triple line dialer and churn & burn with less followup, frequency, and personalization but higher volume. I've admittedly taken a lot of information from real estate agents and enterprise sales folks - Both are different where one is based on volume, the other is personalized and it has me confused now. What would be your recommendation? [link] [comments] |
Do I get a 2nd phone for B2B sales? Google voice? Another option? Posted: 03 Jan 2020 01:10 PM PST Starting a new job in B2B outside sales position where I'll need to give out my cell phone number to clients. I prefer to keep my personal and work numbers separate. It appears my boss just uses 1 phone number for everything. My friend in a similar position carries 2 physical phones with him (work and personal) to keep them separate. His reasoning is to never give his company a reason to go through or take his personal phone - which makes sense. This seems like a big hassle which has led me to look at Google voice/similar options. I use Google voice currently (to give out to noon family/friends) and am familiar with it, but I don't use and don't plan to use any of the fancy features. The big downside I see is that I can't tell which number is being called when I initially answer my phone which means I would have to answer every call anyway if I went the Google voice route. My question is, do you carry 2 phones? Why or why not? [link] [comments] |
Cold calling for different personality traits Posted: 03 Jan 2020 12:45 PM PST Can you recommend resources where I can read how to communicate on a cold call with people that have different personality traits like extroversion, agreeableness, openness, conscientiousness, and neuroticism. For example how to speak to someone who is very dominant, extrovert, a little arrogant, vs. someone who is very introverted and reserved. [link] [comments] |
Pro Rated Commission Calculation Help Posted: 03 Jan 2020 11:44 AM PST Let's say you start a job at the beginning of Q1. Your offer letter says you make 50k salary and 10k commission. The annual quota is $100,000. Your commission rate per dollar brought in is Annual Commission/Annual Quota. E.g. "10k/100k=.1" Now, let's say you start a job at the beginning of Q3. All things equal, except each quarter is weighted differently. In Q3 there's still $60,000 left to hit. When they pro-rate your commission, is your rate supposed to change? E.g. should it be "5k/60k=.0833..." -OR- Is your rate supposed to stay the same and only quota is adjusted? [link] [comments] |
