I joined Amway and I see it now. Posted: 07 Jan 2020 10:45 AM PST I went to give it a try, despite all of the towering evidence and personal experiences that other people had with MLMs. I was persuaded by two FORMER doctors, who are retired and stated that they've been doing Amway for 10 years now. I completely bought into the safety and security that these people would actually be mentoring me and helping me to get to their level. Nothing was revealed in the initial meetings. When I asked a question, it would be avoided with an answer not directly tackling the question, such as "Everything in life takes much work and effort, but..." And continues to branch off into some random success story. The business model was simple to understand and grasp, and it gave me the feeling that I could do this really easily. If I recruit 5 people then they would recruit another 5 and then they recruit another 5. By 6-8 months I'll be making literally $7-13k per month. How exciting this was, that getting money was really this easy. But if this were to go on in an exponential rate, you would run out of the number of people LIVING ON THIS EARTH. I didn't know what Amway was until I was invited to go to a workshop In my local area. Before going to the workshop, I had to read a book, the Business in the 21st Century by Kiyosaki. The guy is legit, so I was more than happy. But the business, not so much. When I arrived, I immediately began to be skeptic. I asked questions like "How long did it take you to to begin seeing results?" Which is something ANYONE would want to know from FIRST HAND REPRESENTATIVES OF THE FUCKING BUSINESS! The answer was always followed with "It will take as long as how much effort and work you put in in order to become rich and wealthy". I asked YOU not the general individual. What kind of shit answer is this. So now, I joined, 2 days ago. I'm starting to see the toxicity. Im required to go to weekly meetings, workshops, sunday calls. I'm required to sign up for BWW (which I did, it's just a fucking book club). But above all else, I have to keep up with a monthly quota of $200 - $300 dollars to stay active in the Amway Business. I have a nice income, so the costs was doable and wasn't a big deal. The big deal is that none of this was revealed to me and shown until after my mentors egged me on to sign up. Imagine 60 year old, retired doctors breathing down your neck, to pull out your card and sign up for services, all the while holding your hand and saying "We will mentor you, you will be like us someday" like what the fuck. Currently I spent $250 and that is ALL I will spend. I write this as a warning to anyone being convinced to join Amway or is already in Amway. If you are still believing that it is a legit company and not a cult, then join and experience first hand. I had to experience first hand, and that was more evidence and proof I needed than actual online sources. I partly blame my hunger and drive to make money and live a great life. I blame my uninformed knowledge in business (never studied or was into business), and I blame my ego for believing that I could do this and NOT waste time, money, and lose relationships. I will be quitting Amway this week, and after meeting the team, and all their empowering words, their compliments and encouragements, the worst part of it is hearing their disappointments, because I like building relationships and making friends. Words like "I had high hopes for you" and "You seemed super excited to do this before..." and "You're quitting on your dream" will be thrown at me. But I'm ready to take them. They really are a Cult. Not a group, not a circle, not a organization, but a fucking cult. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 08 Jan 2020 02:43 AM PST Does a business have to tell me im fired. I worked for a place seasonal and they just stopped giving me hours. I also tried looking on the online work app to see my schedule and i no longer have an account. They also offered me a part time regular ( not seasonal) so i dont know what happened P.s they asked me to go into work at 5am-1pm about 2 weeks ago but when they text me it was almost 12 midnight so i was sleep and by the time i woke up i wasnt able to make it. P.s i told them the days i could work and that day was one of the days i said i couldnt work. She also said in the text, text me and said call if i could make it. ( i didnt respond). (I went in that night to buy a blanket) was i wrong? Question: Do they have to tell me im fired not necessarily me why they fired me but give me notice if they want to let me go [link] [comments] |

Posted: 07 Jan 2020 08:38 PM PST Naturally, like me, you're probably using Shopify POS, Clover, Square, or any of those "Top 10 best POS systems for your business" systems. But these unfortunately are very limiting, and restricting, and aren't beneficial to a retail store that moves a lot of merchandise. What I'm looking for is something that could sync with a solid WMS (Warehouse Management System) / IMS (Inventory MS), [which I would love to know the name of as well], which would allow me to track multi-store inventory, as well as track track bin locations (stock shelf location code) for my multi-store locations, all for 1 SKU. I would need a system that can track multiple SKUs for 1 SKU. For example, my own made up SKU + product SKU in 2 separate text boxes for 1 item. The system would need a solid barcode labeling system as well, with many label shapes and sizes available and full label print option customization. And lastly, a great integration system, to sync with my Shopify website, quick books, ship station, and of course the WMS/IMS. But for all this to help me, I need a solid POS system (maybe even an All in One? WMS + POS) for front end retail sales. I need to be able to pull all of this information up quickly, barcode scan, customize multiple receipt options, such as gift receipts, etc. and have a gift card system as well. I don't know why, with months of looking at everything I can online, the only conclusion I can gather is that this type of system doesn't exist. If you can possibly direct me to something that falls somewhere in line with what I'm looking for, or maybe assist me in letting me know what other medium sized businesses use, and how they created/got such a system, I'm pretty desperate and would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you so much! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 07 Jan 2020 08:35 PM PST If an LLC is sued and a judgment is made against the company can an owner funnel the business from the original company into a different company in an effort to avoid paying the judgement? Say (R) loses a case and a judgement is granted against them, can they form a new company (A) and just continue doing business as usual and not have to pay the towards the judgement? In this instance the customer base was origionally built by (R) and the customers are calling (R) and the owner is simply telling customers to write their checks to (A). They are even using the original (R) branded vehicle to perform some of their services. I'm just interested to know if this is legal or not and why. Thanks guys. [link] [comments] |

Is it acceptable to answer with "Business" when people ask what I want to do after college? Posted: 07 Jan 2020 07:40 PM PST Family and friends back home ask me all the time what I'd like to do after I graduate college. I always answer with "I want to go into business." What I really mean is that I want to go into finance, consulting, or tech, but I'm not sure which one yet. Does this answer make sense? Does it go along with what I really mean? [link] [comments] |

Is this a possible business model? Posted: 07 Jan 2020 03:17 PM PST Hi, I am interested in starting my own skincare business and would like to use a private label manufacturer that will label and package/fill everything but I'm a college student who goes to school in a different state than where my home is (I dorm) but I still want to make this business model come alive. The only thing I would have to do is ship out the products but I don't know where to register my business (Durham, NH which is where I go to school/dorm or Boston, MA). I am mostly at school for the year, as I only come back home to Boston during breaks. Which would be the best option? Thank you everyone! [link] [comments] |
