Posted: 03 Nov 2019 10:35 AM PST Boeing's CEO faced calls in Congress for his resignation over two crashes that killed 346 people. The board stripped Dennis Muilenburg of his chairmanship last month but has expressed "full confidence" in him as CEO. The best-selling 737 Max planes have been grounded worldwide since March. Posted: 03 Nov 2019 02:21 AM PST Interesting WSJ article on earnings and dividend payouts. Seems some are not well placed to continue payouts as it would seem. https://www.wsj.com/articles/investors-to-big-oil-make-it-rain-11572612256 [link] [comments] |
What's the best platform with real time data / graph in the Europe? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 09:27 AM PST Sorry if this question was already asked: I am looking for a European broker platform for start to invest. I need stocks, index and commodities, with real time price and graph. [link] [comments] |
Found Marvel Stock Certificate - Any way to claim value? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 12:29 PM PST I found a paper certificate listing a single share of Marvel stock which was purchased for me as a gift in 2003. Considering Marvel is now owned by Disney, is there any way for me to claim the value of this certificate, or at least register as owner with an updated address? [link] [comments] |
What does ”percent held by insiders” and ”percent held by institutions” tell you? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 12:04 PM PST Are these what are called "closely held stocks"? [link] [comments] |
Anyone else holding oil companies? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 12:01 PM PST I hold about 20% in oil companies. XOM, PSX, and tangentially GE and BRK.B (exposure to oil money). XOM has been break even between slow losses but a solid dividend, and PSX has been a cash cow. I think we are a long way from the end of oil despite all the hippy headlines. If you hold oil companies tell me which are better than mine and if you hold none convince me I am wrong. [link] [comments] |
Occidental petroleum $oxy, will the downward spiral continue? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 09:28 AM PST I have been eyeing this one for the past couple weeks. The dividend is one of the main reasons this stock has kept my eye, consistently paying higher and higher. The P/e (~8) and Eps (~5) are hard to ignore, however it seems that their profits have been shrinking quarter to quarter, while raising for the past couple years. My conclusion is that at $42 a share, this stock is either undervalued or at value. There is alot of press about the oil market being prepared for a surplus or downturn, and I know little about international markets and the energy sector in general. What are your thoughts? Aphria, Inc. Receives health Canada double diamond license Posted: 02 Nov 2019 02:51 PM PDT This will effectively double the growing capacity. I think it is a good fundamental play to hold for several years. Thoughts? https://thedeepdive.ca/aphria-diamond-receives-cultivation-license/ Edit: don't forget about the enormous short squeeze as evidenced by the comments. [link] [comments] |
Activision Blizzard (ATVI) stocks expectations? Posted: 02 Nov 2019 06:02 PM PDT What are your expectations on Activision Blizzard (ATVI) stocks in the up comming weeks? We expect a 10% gain this week and an overall 30% in the following weeks/months. Diablo 4, Overwatch 2 and a Wow expansion announced. What do you think? [link] [comments] |
Is there a way to see exactly what this one trade was on $IROQ on Friday? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 12:48 PM PST One trade happened and the price jumped from $21.85 to $22. I am being told it was probably the CEO/CFO offering more for the stock than it was worth. But if that is the case why not buy it for even more? And more shares? And is that even legal? $ANDX is a stock with avg volume of 6.22M. Why doesn’t Charles Schwab or Ameritrade offer it? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 11:51 AM PST Company name is Andeavor Logistics LP. Market cap is 7.90B [link] [comments] |
If only 1 share of this stock was traded, how did it go up .15 cents? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 11:30 AM PST I thought stock prices went up and down depending on how much was bought and sold. So how did this IROQ stock go up .15 cents when only one share was sold on Friday? [link] [comments] |

Help me get the basics in stocks Posted: 03 Nov 2019 09:28 AM PST Hi there, I want to get started on stocks, I recently became interested in stocks so I would like some basic advice on how to start. I have about £50 (UK) to spare. I'm also 13 [link] [comments] |
Sales of Apple Products by Model? Posted: 02 Nov 2019 07:04 PM PDT I've been looking for a breakdown of which Apple devices sold the most and the least(for example, comparing the sales of the last Ipad Mini to the Ipad Air), but I've only been able to find the totals for each category(i.e the total number of iPads sold). Is there anywhere I can go to get a product by product breakdown of Apple's revenue? [link] [comments] |
Is nvidia the type to pull a Intel regarding share buy backs? Posted: 03 Nov 2019 08:23 AM PST Intel had declining sales & to make up for it to prevent a dip in price per share they spent a big heap on share buy backs. The 5700XT is a big hit, nvidia's GPU line is a confusing mess and we're getting reports about the possibility of bringing back the 2070. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Nov 2019 07:34 AM PST Hi - Would anyone know of any software that will allow me to backtest scenarios like, but set of 10 stocks - sell end of 30 days, buy again the same after 30 day gap and so on. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Nov 2019 08:45 PM PDT Looks like there was an issue with Saudi payments, stock fell 15%+. There were also headlines that the prince held wrestlers because of this deal. I believe this stock has long-term potential, but when do you invest. It just lost 15% on Thursday. Will the losses continue for a bit? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Nov 2019 06:19 AM PST Hi! I was wondering what do you think about First Solar? I like the relative ethics of that company, and they are major player in California. If you don't (or even if you do) like it, what other renewable stocks would you recommend? [link] [comments] |
How many stocks do you have or think is a good amount to have in your portfolio? Posted: 02 Nov 2019 11:51 PM PDT Warren Buffet recommended having 3 good stocks that you know very well and see long term growth in. I definitely think I want more than 3 as I've picked many options that range around 10-15 not including a separate ETF portfolio. What are your thoughts on this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Nov 2019 03:22 PM PDT I need to use a custom filter for my stock screens. I do not have enough programming experience yet to do it myself. I found one that is great online (stockfetcher) but you need a subscription. Anyone know of anything else? I haven't found anything comparable yet. I basically need a filter of stock above a multiple of atr x average price. [link] [comments] |
