I'm looking to export a food product but not entirely sure where to start

    Posted: 09 Dec 2018 12:36 AM PST

I've managed to source probably one of the best food items in Italy, in which the supplier hasn't really exported seriously as he's more focused on the core business which is a restaurant. He's happy for me to attempt to exporting food item to the UK (where I'm based) but I'm not sure on what I'll have to consider before doing this, and what is involved to get it from A to B. My background is in technology so this stuff is fairly new to me. Do you guys have any ideas or where I should start looking?

i have over 300k in my Facebook groups

    Posted: 08 Dec 2018 09:02 PM PST

Hi everyone, I need some help in regards to marketing effectively. So I have 4 groups that comprise of over 300k in members. These groups are all buy and sell groups for specifically my city

How can I market something to them. The announcement feature does nothing especially with the new fb app that auto scrolls down to discussion area on android phones.

I need a way to be able to get my product or message across to as many members as possible. Is it OK to spam my own group or will this get me banned? What are the limits here?

    Thanks everyone, greatly appreciated!

    Business Internship with engineering background

    Posted: 08 Dec 2018 04:21 PM PST

I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Entrepreneurship. I have had two engineering internships so far and based on my experiences in the classroom and in the real world I know that in my career I want to focus on the business side of engineering, or start my own company. I would like to pursue an MBA at some point in my career but maintain my background in engineering. I was lucky enough to land an internship with a company that I have networked connections with and have expressed my interest to do intern work with the business side of the company instead of the engineering side. The employer has been extremely accommodating and is basically letting me create the structure of my internship so that I can work on business administration work along with engineering. What should I ask for in terms of 'business work' so that I can best set myself up for post-graduation jobs in this field?

This city needs an ice rink! Help?

    Posted: 08 Dec 2018 07:02 PM PST

How would one go about getting the parks and rec. Dept. Of a city to build an ice rink? The nearest one is an hour away, and I feel it would be so beneficial and a great addition to our growing city. I used to be a figure skater but I can't afford to go an hour away every week if I want to practice. And if funding is an issue for them, I have plenty of ideas for that from fundraising and getting sponsors (that could be promised a free ad once built) to once built ads on the boards of the rink, and plenty of other things. I'd really enjoy it and even be willing to work at it. (note I have very bad anxiety and can't handle intense things like factory or food service things, but I could definitely do cleaning, or work a desk.)

I'm doing a BIA, Need help differentiate between a business process & function.

    Posted: 08 Dec 2018 10:22 AM PST

I'm creating a BIA, Business Impact Analysis for a college project.

I've decided to use a Restaurant for it.

We are required to have 5 functions and 3 processes.

I'm having a hard time, differentiating between them.

I've read multiple threads, posts, articles, but I just can't get around it.

    So far, I've this:

    Function 1: Food Preparation

    ■ Process 1: Supply Chain

    ■ Process 2: Commis Chef

    ■ Process 3: Sous Chef

    Function 2: Food Delivery

    ■ Process 1: Waiting Staff

    ■ Process 2: Take Away

    ■ Process 3: Delivery

    Function 3: Finance

    ■ Process 1:

    ■ Process 2:

    ■ Process 3:

    Function 4: Marketing

    ■ Process 1:

    ■ Process 2:

    ■ Process 3:

    Function 5:

    ■ Process 1:

    ■ Process 2:

    ■ Process 3:

Will this work, is this correct?

I'd like someone to confirm if I'm on the right path, before I continue.
