How do I hire foreign employees? (More specific in post)

    Posted: 02 Nov 2018 10:05 PM PDT

I'm interested in hiring foreign employees, most likely in China or Ukraine, to perform administrative tasks. To be clear, they would be working for my company from their home country, not moving to the US. How do I go about this safely and legally?

Most of the information I was able to find online related to getting visas for workers.

How to start a tutoring business?

    Posted: 02 Nov 2018 05:44 PM PDT

Hi! I am looking to start a tutoring business. I am good with school subjects, I get along well with people, and I love learning. I have some questions regarding how to begin.

    1) Is there a legal age minimum for tutoring? If so, what is the minimum?

    2) Do I need a degree or highschool diploma? My understanding is that I may need a degree or diploma if I work for a tutoring company but I'm unsure if I will need them if I work for myself (I have my own tutoring business).

    3) Do I need to talk to a legal professional to start a business, perhaps just so they know I have a business? I have never done anything like this before, so I don't know about any legal roadblocks.

    4) How much should I charge per hour?

    5) What are my first steps to becoming a tutor?

    6) How can I make myself known as a tutor without broadcasting it to everyone awkwardly?

I have never started a business before and have never tutored anyone besides my sister (doesn't count), so I am completely new to this. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Do any of you business owners fear customers where one mistake with that customer can cause them to say things like I’ll sue you and tell everyone to not come to your business?

    Posted: 02 Nov 2018 05:27 PM PDT

So long story short, I have experienced making mistakes where customers were upset with the service. This makes it so I have to be a perfectionist because due to websites like yelp.com, customers can potentially spread rumors and potentially make you lose money.

I would like to know any experiences any of you have of making a mistake between a customer that is financial well vs making a mistake with a customer that is either low income or unemployed.

For me personally, my experiences of messing up a service/product has gone more smoothly with someone that is financially stable vs a lower income/unemployed customer since they are the ones to potentially spread rumors and say things like I'll sue the instant you make a mistake.

What are the pros and cons of a high rise office building vs a sprawling campus?

    Posted: 02 Nov 2018 12:40 PM PDT

I don't see many tech companies that own high rises and I was wonder if there's a reason for that. Is there a corporate campus more conducive to productivity or something like that?

    Water resistant dress pants?

    Posted: 02 Nov 2018 01:59 PM PDT

I am in a profession that requires me to be in business casual (polo and khakis) or sometimes shirt/tie and also get wet and dirty.

I can find cargo style water resistant khakis but not dress pants. Anyone have luck with water resistant khakis that look like dress pants?

    Thank you!

What is the problem with wealth inequality?

    Posted: 02 Nov 2018 09:08 AM PDT

Please dont send hate for this.

From videos i have watched, and articles ive read it seems like wealth inequality is basically saying that the rich have more assets than the poor/middle class. Thats just a fact. And from what it seems is that people dont understand how taxation works and that much of the governemnts money comes from the government. Im not a right or left. I have opinions that fall between, personally dont like trump. And im canadian. But what i dont understand is that most of these articles seem to want the government to take money from the rich and give it too the poor. But if we all started accepting handouts from the governemnt wouldnt that not only be like communism, but also give the governemnt nuch more control over our lives because they control our income stream? So could someone tell me why its a problem and why it should be fixed? Right now it just seems like the poor and middle class are complaining that they dont have as much money as the rich. Also im not rich. Im from a middle class household, am 16 and i work parttime (almost a year of working now), but i for one take pride in earning money and im glad i dont have to rely on my parents for allowance, becuase then they could take it away if i did something bad, and i dont like handouts.

EDIT: not saying anything about people or how they are dumb for not accepting low paying jobs, and not saying that wealth inequality doesnt exist, but id call it more of an unbalance than inequality. Personnaly i think the most important thing people should do is teach young people about finances, money and stuff like that. Its too much of a private issue, and if people dont learn how to manage money you cant really expect them to understand why they dont have as much money as some rich person. Personally i have an issue with people who want handouts, and expect that they should just be getting free money so that life is "more fair".

Thanks. Not trying to start a war or anything just want to understand it more.
