Inherited a Business, and i'm unsure how to procced Posted: 03 May 2018 11:49 PM PDT Hello everyone, In 3 months i'm finishing my bachelors in Computer Science, and to my surprise, upon returning home, i will be the head of my families company. What we do, as i understand it, is we rent our property to other people, and that's where our revenue comes from. I'm feeling excited, and anxious, because i have no idea what running a business entails. Our staff is limited (4 people), but our revenue is significant. (over 20k a month) I'm writing this here for advice from more seasoned entrepreneurs. What i think i want to do when i get back is reduce costs from stuff i find can be reduced, but nothing else came to me when thinking about it. Later, i want to expand(thats pretty much all i have here because i have no idea what would be a good investment). What should i read? What should i study? Who should i employ? What should i do to become a good businessman. At the moment, i've listened to some business books from audible, but everything is general, and i haven't found things that i can apply to my situation. Also, my degree program is parallel to what i need to run this thing.. [link] [comments] |

Need help with business project for school. Posted: 03 May 2018 04:45 PM PDT I'm a sophomore in high school & my principles of business teacher is letting me teach the class Thursday next week. I need to pick a topic business related & give a lecture/lesson on it to a bunch of 15-18 year olds. Things we've covered are: - making a business plan - starting a small business - starting a non-profit organization - learning to manage money She really likes me & I don't wanna disappoint her. Also there have been other times she's done this & the people have bombed their presentations. I'm a good speaker if I have good material. Any ideas? [link] [comments] |
