Posted: 10 Feb 2022 07:54 PM PST Let's assume the following. You (owner of a business ) work retail. The whole business is just buying and selling alcohol (if that helps you picture the scenario) Close by (1-2 mile radius) , there is a lot of competition. There is a bunch of places that sell alcohol just like you. A customer (let's call him greg) comes in to buy a bottle of champagne for a celebration. the ones that he likes is out of his price range. He is checking out all of the ones in his price range and he does not like any of them. (Greg's price range 50 dollars) You were just about to convince greg to buy a bottle that is out of his price range. You were about to give him a small discount so that greg comes out of your store happy. But while you are having this conversation with greg, another customer joins the conversation . (Let's call her maddie) she overheard his issue with the prices. You were about to convince greg to buy it but maddie comes up and says " you should check out this other store 1-2 miles away. They have a discount section and they have big selection with cheap prices. " Greg was convinced by maddie and he left the store and bought nothing. Maddie bought stuff though and left. (She bought stuff for 8 dollars ) What would you do ? What would your reaction be? Would you get angry at maddie for losing the sale from greg ? Would you get triggered or would you be okay with it ? Would you sell maddie the stuff she needed even though she ruined the sale? What would you personally do ? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 11 Feb 2022 12:28 AM PST My friends and I started a small business and find ourselves in this situation. We are finishing our first contract about 10K in the green. We are looking for another contract, but want to stay busy until it materializes. What would you build if you could build anything? [link] [comments] |
