BDR: Should I contact one person at a time per account or multiple contacts at the same time? (Outbound)

    Hi everyone!

So, I'm just starting out in my first Outbound BDR role for a B2B SaaS company and trying to build a solid strategy to attack some accounts.

Would you guys recommend contacting only one person per company at a given time or going after say 3-5 people at the same time?

I was wondering because I guess if all of them notice I'm emailing/calling them all at the same time, that might feel a little like spamming?

Let me know what you think and I appreciate the help!

How can I increase my confidence at work?

    Posted: 16 Jan 2022 06:41 PM PST

Im being considered for a promotion for a sales consultant and have an interview this week. I'm scared my manager is going to see through me and see I lack confidence. I am a top performer in my current role and hardest worker.

I'm a hard worker because I'm scared to fail or feel incompetent. I guess it's paid off and there's been talks about me getting moved up.

My bf who works for the same company in outside sales, thinks I'll totally kill. I'm afraid I won't do good in sales or won't be able to BS it.

How can I build my confidence up and believe in myself?

HELP!! I need to prep an account map for two small local business for an interview.

    Posted: 16 Jan 2022 06:36 PM PST

As title says, I need to prep an account map for two small, local business. I checked their web sites, I Google them, I try to LinkedIn any names I found there, but not really anything seemingly useful. Any advise on where I can find names and/or contact info? How else can I build this map and how detailed do you all think it should be?

Best SaaS product to sell in a closing role: cybersecurity/ITSM/SIEM, martech, fintech, or something else?

    Posted: 16 Jan 2022 05:34 PM PST

I've been doing quite a bit of research lately, while applying to various closing roles looking for SMB/Growth/Emerging AEs. Most of these applications have been for cybersecurity and other related areas of business (variations of ITSM, SIEM, API security, cloud security, etc.), but some have been for martech and fintech.

I've learned that cybersecurity tends to have longer sales cycles (9-12 months) and bigger average deal sizes ($500k - $1M isn't rare), whereas martech has shorter sales cycles and smaller average deal sizes. I'm curious where fintech fits (sales cycle and avg. deal size) into this though, and which product type is the most fun to sell (subjective, I know, but we've got a lot of great people on this sub and I'm curious)?

Lots of people seem to make the transition from cybersecurity into martech, due to less stress(?) and a more relaxed key buying persona. Not sure if people do this with respect to fintech as well (either leaving fintech or joining fintech for these reasons)? These seem like the "big three" right now with SaaS models. Curious to hear what you guys/gals think!

Where to go next after being a freight broker

    Posted: 16 Jan 2022 04:46 PM PST

Like the title says I've been pretty successful working as a freight broker the last few years. I'm at the point where I'm sick of it, especially because they will not let us work remote even though all I need is a computer and phone to do my job. I'm trying to figure out the next step for me and what industries my experience would translate well too.

I've had a couple interviews for AE roles with saas companies but both ghosted me. I'm wondering if there are people who made the jump from logistics and where they went.

80% Outbound vs 20% Inbound? (AE Question)

    Posted: 16 Jan 2022 04:25 PM PST

Hello AEs in the SaaS space. What is your current inbound vs outbound lead split? Is it realistic to hit your number with 80%+ outbound leads? Is that a pipedream? Let me know what you guys are experiencing out there.
