Posted: 11 Dec 2021 01:24 AM PST I made an amazing app which solves a pain point and is unique. First it was paid for 5$ but now I changed it to a free version with a 3$ in-app-purchase. Neverenthless when I was in the local news it sold 2000 copies a day. (I just wrote them about the app) Then 2 days after I sell only 2 copies a week. That was 3 years ago and sales are weak. I just cant get it international to spread, I even wrote shit lifehacker etc. which every moron app shows as „as shown on" and made a media message with a free download code and sent it to over 200 newspapers. No one replied. (Except one guy wanted 10'000$ for 7 days in his Instagram story) So I concluded my only option is to make expensive ads? I did a facebook page and did paid ads for the app page, which costed 300$ and got me 500 followers and 1 person that opened the website and 0 downloads. What a joke. I narrowed it down and even just chose my country but directly after doing the ad people from saudi arabia and kasachstan liked my page. How is this even possible when I didnt set the ad there? Anyways how can I spread my amazing app? Its pet related. [link] [comments] |
Foreign Buyer wants to purchase my Business Posted: 10 Dec 2021 11:40 PM PST Hello, I run a smallish drop shipping store. Profit from 2020 was around 60k but there has been a decline this year in sales mostly because I don't have time for it anymore, profit will be around $38,000. I got an offer from a group in Australia who wants to purchase my business for $35,000. Right now it's registered as an S-CORP. Where do I find information regarding how to do this properly? Honestly they don't sound like they have any clue and I want to make sure I am doing this properly. Is this even possible? They want to keep the business registered in the US. Thank you [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Dec 2021 09:16 PM PST It's a single member LLC with barely any income yet. Is a business bank account even worth it? or should i just get a regular checking account for it? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 11 Dec 2021 04:02 AM PST Hello, I want to sell a Saas to restaurants in my small town, where customers can scan a QR code to access the menu, order and pay with their phones. It will also track KPIs and analytics. My question is, Can i buy a ready product from fiverr then edit it and sell it to different restaurants or do i have to write my own code from scratch? P.s( I have no experience in writing code at all) Would really appreciate your help :) [link] [comments] |

Posted: 10 Dec 2021 09:18 PM PST So, in the case of developing a physical product that may cost tens of thousands to develop even into just a proper showable prototype, how do you determine demand without a prototype and just the idea for the physical product? Unlike software products, it would be difficult to sense any traction from a landing page without at least photos or videos of the potential product. Ideally we all want to see some traction before committing serious cash into development, but what does this mean for physical products? Making a 3D animated version of the product and showing that on a landing page? How would you go about this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Dec 2021 10:09 PM PST So I came up with a product idea about 3 years ago. Unfortunately, I had just graduated college, didn't have much money, or space, but had a good friend who was doing pretty well for himself in the space. I told him about my idea and after a couple months of sitting on it he decided to approach me about launching this product. Well, it took about a year to get everything together and launched and it turned out to be pretty successful. Unfortunately, that is where the love story ends…. He never felt totally comfortable about us launching this together. He had a decent amount of experience when it came to launching products and had systems such as a 3pL and freight forwarding relationships established. So this past year we agreed upon a 70/30 split for cost of product good sold and a 73/27 split for profits. So now we are looking to payout/purchase more product and things got incredibly messy. I'm going to change some numbers for convenience sake, but our yearly cost of product goods sold was $100k, he paid 70k and I paid 30k. Our profits for the year were 150k. So he wants to pay me out $40.5k from the profit, but not the 30k investment—which I understand leaving it in the business to pay for additional products; however, we are left with no product and are needing to place another order and my partner wants me to fill from the 40.5k that was just paid out to me. I've been racking my brain to try and understand his perspective, but I don't see it. What happened to my initial upfront cost? Was it just simply swallowed by the business or was it paid out in the 40.5k leaving me with 10.5k on my initial upfront cost of 30k? And if that's the case, how is it that he will walk away from this with his 70k and the remaining 110k. Thus, his end year looks like 180k with his 70k and 110k gained and I will turn out with 40k with my initial 30k and 10k gained. I feel like the clear loser and this doesn't feel at all like a 73/27 split but more like a 93/7 split. Honestly, any thoughts at all would be appreciated. [link] [comments] |
Has anybody seen those ads for Ownr? Posted: 10 Dec 2021 08:46 PM PST It appears to be an assisting service for starting up a business, might be good for someone like me who has little to no knowledge on the necessary proceedings to start one up. I'll be completely honest, I think this ad for Ownr appeared in my social media because of tracking activity on my Reddit account. I don't know how to prevent that from happening… [link] [comments] |
