Posted: 26 Dec 2021 03:29 AM PST I am a sole proprietor of a small service business in the US and I take owners draws. No employees. Would my husband be able to be an owner as well? How would we do that? He would help with all activities and we share finances. We do not want employees because the taxes and the extra insurance would not be worth it for what we make currently. We just want to know if this would be possible for starting sometime next year. What would I tell our accountant (yes, we will discuss this with our accountant but we want to have an idea beforehand) [link] [comments] |

How difficult is it to get a Business Loan? Posted: 26 Dec 2021 03:12 AM PST Basically, I recently got my associates degree in business administration/management and I've had this idea for a while now about starting up a retail fireworks store. This would be on my own property where I live right now and mostly be partnered with my friends and some help from family. I want this to be more of a permanent thing, with still a main focus in the big holiday sales of course. I have a lot of ideas but now as I'm starting to get all the costs together, im certain I'll need a loan. I dont have any experience beforehand but until I get some critical information back my estimated cost is 50-100k to get everything ready to open and sell products. I work full time and don't have many bills, almost the same for my 2 friends. However we don't have a whole lot on hand right now. I have about 20k from family I can use and give back when I have it. Say plus 10k from all 3 of us partnered up. So say 30k on hand. I truly believe I can make this work and, and if I can just make the loan payments then once it's done its a walk in the park. Im guessing a 100k loan. I have excellent personal credit at 21y/o. I have no idea how difficult it is to be approved for something like this, and if needed with our combined monthly income from our main job we could pay the monthly loan bill if its no more than 1,500k a month. Any input is greatly appreciated, I have a lot of ideas and such going through my head, and I didn't include the whole run down in the post of course. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
I plan to start a smoked chicken restaurant Posted: 26 Dec 2021 05:11 AM PST Greetings everyone Recently, I had to start thinking outside of the box because we are running out of business ideas here in Algeria, not because we have all sorts of businesses going on, but because of the economical crisis that affected the life pattern, which had a direct impact on businesses. People here in my country are becoming more open-minded about experiencing new dishes from different cultures, so I thought about starting a small smoked chicken restaurant in my province. Last time I checked, there are no restaurants that sell smoked meats here whatsoever, nevertheless, the concept of smoked meat is known by a lot of people, so I thought; why shouldn't I start a smoked chicken business that would earn me good money. Quite frankly, I know nothing about smoking meat, but from what I usually see on youtube, it takes some kind of a smoker and some smoking wood, the smoking technic however varies, some use different rubs, some brine their meat (Especially chicken and turkey), some do dry brine, some do wet brine, some only marinade their meat, some use different kinds of wood and so on. I am pretty confused about how smokers work though, what I know is that smokers usually use indirect heat to cook meat, then at a certain point they incorporate smoked wood (Wood from fruit trees) to add a smoky flavor, but then I stumbled upon another type of smokers that cook meat using the smoke itself, but you know what! I came across another type of smokers that work with both propane and wood smoke!! Pretty confusing! Here is what I plan on doing; since smokers are not available here, I plan to custom order a propane smoker, probably an offset propane smoker, I know that offset smokers work with charcoal ( although I don't know how is an offset any different from a charcoal grill) but I'll try to figure out how to custom order an offset smoker that works with propane and incorporates smoked wood adequately in cooking the meat. However, what I am worried about is that my final product would taste the same as grilled meat (Which is pretty popular here), cause I don't want my restaurant to lose its theme as a smoked meat restaurant. Bottom line, I hope somebody explains to me: -How do smokers work, which smoker is the most suitable for my project. - How is smoked meat different from grilled meat taste-wise. - Is my idea feasible. I am all ears (Eyes) for extra advice. Best wishes to all who see this post. [link] [comments] |
Trying to start online clothing business Posted: 25 Dec 2021 11:40 PM PST I know nothing about starting a business and wanted to start an online clothing business. I'm really not sure where to start or go. Any tips for me? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Dec 2021 11:49 PM PST I have run my business is like a family business , invested most of the profits back into the business, and hired more people to continue sustainability and growth. If I sell the business, I need to change the model to be more profitable; however, I know with more profits, our tax liability will also increase. This is a monies I would usually reinvest, such as salary increase or employ another person. Any suggestions, or do I just accept that if you want more profit for a business valuation over the ext three years I just need to pay more tax? Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Dec 2021 08:32 PM PST Where do I get updated and relevant information about SaaS tools that can help me streamline & grow my business? I'm looking to try out a CRM and a chatbot for my website. Any pointers will be highly appreciated! [link] [comments] |
How to value a business for sale? Posted: 25 Dec 2021 08:17 PM PST A relative owns a local supermarket that is doing very successfully. But he is looking to sell it and retire. What would be an approximate way to value his business for sale? Is it just a multiple of gross revenue? I would post numbers but I don't know exactly what it makes a year. I know it is profitable though. He owns the parcel of land the supermarket sits on and on the same parcel, there are also retail spaces in a single story mini strip mall. He owns it all and leases it out to individual tenants. A starting point as to how to begin valuing this is great appreciated. [link] [comments] |
