Posted: 16 Dec 2021 12:34 PM PST Just wanted to know your opinions on buying an automotive franchise ,my wife and I are looking into this and are abit scared as we are a young couple and have not ran our own business before. We know it's a big risk but is it worth it ? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Dec 2021 11:39 AM PST I'm considered a "high-risk" merchant with my new online store; mostly because of CBD, Kava, and Kratom products (but I also offer non-high-risk items as well). I don't feel like my store, or the energy I'm putting into (by myself) is worth what BC charges. However, I have heard they are quite reliable whereas WordPress is a platform where you're essentially your own tech support. Am I wrong? Any advice? I've been researching some of the websites that offer these products but am not sure what they use - and I don't want to ask them ;-) For other info: my products won't require a lot of changing/updates on descriptions, etc. So I don't think loading times (I think that's what they are called) would be an issue. Only one page, in particular, would require monthly/weekly updates. I know basically nothing about coding and I can't pay upwards of $200 for someone to do this for me. Just trying to figure out what would be more user-friendly for my "high-risk" startup. **I understand Payment Gateways are a totally different animal; I'm just running into website hosting. Bluehost, WooCommerce, etc. do not support CBD so coming across a lot of dead ends.** While I await responses, I'm still doing research. Just seemed like a good place for some clarification. Thanks, y'all! [link] [comments] |
Is there a website or link with list of successful angel investment rounds? Posted: 16 Dec 2021 01:23 PM PST I'm looking for a list of successful angel investment rounds, anywhere in the world, for the last couple of years. The problem is, all the terms I put into search engines gets me a list of successful investors, rather than the companies that have successfully raised money. I have no interest in the investors, only the companies and the amount of money they have managed to raise. Doesn't have to be limited to any country, or continent. Also doesn't have to be website dedicated to this, can be just an internet page - its just that I have failed to find a page with this information. Appreciate any help on this. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Dec 2021 12:51 PM PST I've been going through all my problems like a tank, but I've realized it would be good to find "business mates", likeminded people who are interested in growing and building their businesses. We would update each other, push and motivate. Share with experience and better ways to solve common problems [link] [comments] |
Need Help With Etsy DropShipping Posted: 16 Dec 2021 02:42 PM PST Good afternoon Everyone. I am 19 and new to all of this so please keep that in mind and would love constructive criticism. I have recently started a Shop on Etsy where I sell Items off Aliexpress. Yesterday I made my first sale and was very excited that it was working and that people where looking at my shop. Which brings up my concern. I have had over 1,000 views in my store but only one sale which is a very very low conversion rate. I do not know how i can continue to increase views but also increase conversion rate. I have been struggling trying to think of ways to advertise my products. I have created a pinterest and pay for promotion on Pinterest and also on etsy. I am trying to get as much traffic in my store because the more people that view it will purchase it. I sell golf related stuff because it is something i love and there is a market for it but I do not know how to get my store to be viewed by people who are also interested in it. Looking for advice and criticism. I have linked my shop down below for you to criticize my shop or hell even buy something🤣Any advice would be very helpful. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Dec 2021 02:37 PM PST I read loads of business books, I've got experience, I've got an idea but I'm worried I won't ever actually get on and properly start my own business. And now I've got kids and a mortgage and a nice wage and all the lifestyle shit I'm getting increasingly more scared to do what I most want to do - which is run my own thing. How do people make the plunge, and what literature helped push the change? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Dec 2021 01:59 PM PST I own a food truck & catering business. Anyone else in my industry? What are you purchasing to get money off the books that have benefited your business? (Outside of vehicles). This will all be relative obviously, but curious to hear others input. Thank you! [link] [comments] |
Generalists: How do you find a service/skill to focus on? Posted: 16 Dec 2021 01:52 PM PST After reading both Range and Outliers there's one worry that has stayed with me. I would like to start my sidehustle and start off with a blog, but whenever I pick out an area, I get an uncomfortable feeling. Mainly because I have the feeling that only one area will bore me and that all other skills would remain unused. I know that as a founder you need to master many things and I would love to develop software, but I can't code. Whenever I think of a business that I could start, e.g. ecommerce or marketing service, I feel like I'm at a disadvantage because there are hundreds of thousands of competitors who do it successfully as specialists. How do I deal with the worry if I want to focus on one subject area as a generalist, 1. leave other skills unused and 2. probably never become as good and ambitious as a specialist? Have you guys ever dealt with this question and/or have any tips on this dilemma? [link] [comments] |
How to generate a good feedback form? Posted: 16 Dec 2021 12:29 PM PST I thought this might be a good subreddit for it. I preface this by saying I don't run a business but rather am the captain of a uni martial arts club. I don't instruct but I handle all admin/finance related things and basically decide all non-teaching related things. So I wanted to create a survey to gain some feedback on lesson structure, general enjoyment, and personal development and I'm worried about answers being vague and especially a lot of new people not wanting to say anything negative. We have 2 instructors, one of which a lot of experienced members think is a lot more capable and perhaps I'm hoping to tease out the mood among the newer members. Also worth mentioning, a lot of people just graded so are currently very happy, of course. I still want to release it soon given that this semester just finished. So I'm asking 1) is there any way of phrasing questions to encourage more information and honest feedback 2) a way of designing this that encourages most people to answer General experience with feedback forms also appreciated, I'm completely new with this! I [16M] need advice on starting a business. Posted: 16 Dec 2021 12:01 PM PST I need advice on starting a business. I have wanted to start a business for a while. I first liked the idea of starting a business at around 2 years old (interested in starting a restaurant.) But over time, my passions changed a little, but I still have an interest in starting a business. Over the last few years, I've developed a pretty thought out plan. But that's just what I have.. a plan. I have two ideas I want to kind of simultaneously do. One of them is a for-profit application, that is sort of a social media, but it is quite different from common social media apps today. Still uses primarily the same concept, but features are widely different. This would obviously take a lot of work, time and capital.. so am interested to have advice on this idea. The other idea is starting a nonprofit or not-for-profit organization. My idea is something I'm passionate about, but primarily for a nonprofit there is a bigger challenge, finding people interested in devoting time to your idea. I'd like to start a student led organization, and understand there are different legal situations based on region, but I'm fine with making adjustments, as I'm very flexible on this idea as long as it accomplishes the goal I set out for. Any advice is appreciated. [link] [comments] |
