Selling wholesale to third world dealers

I met a couple while on vacation. They told me that they collect a lot of the free give-a-way type things that are in perfectly good shape and would be very useful to someone in a developing country. After they fill a shipping container, they have a local buyer in that country who they ship it to. My question is, how would I go about finding an international buyer for something like this? Are there platforms where sellers and buys seek each other out? This wouldn't be a hugely profitable venture. More of a hobby to send useful products to grateful communities and just cover my costs.

    The ex-employee crank call

    Posted: 10 Dec 2021 05:54 PM PST

In 2016, we fired an employee who was secretly sending other employees to our competitor for a kickback.

Now in 2021, this ex-employee is now calling our company using a fake name and an fake Indian accent saying it is urgent for someone to call him back. This guy is leaving his legit phone number but all other details including the name and accent are fake.

Would you suggest that we call him back or block him?

Kill my dream and tell me why this wouldn't work (or what it would take for it to work).

So I'm drunk and just thinking out loud because I'm a psych nurse who works with the homeless population but it seems like what they could really use is

    • A coin operated laundromat/public shower combo

    • with a big well-lit parking lot that only calls the cops/the tow truck for obvious illegal activity or a car unmoved for over a week

    • Maybe some cheap but coin operated small heated or insulated/heat reflecting pods for those without cars

    • a connection with one of those charities that fixes up old cars to give to people in need (esp vets I work with a lot of vets) because a car in America makes a big difference.

    Two questions:

    • tell me the biggest holes I'm not a money minded person

    • I wouldn't mind making a profit but only to put in savings for the hard times to keep this organization running

    • does it make sense to pay some of the consumers to become employees and upkeep the facilities? Then they get a job reference too.

    Thoughts?
