Posted: 07 Dec 2021 06:52 AM PST Hello friends, i have a question regarding equity and revenue. Lets say a small company earns 100k a year. The founder intends to partner with an industry expert who can bring in loads of contacts and business deals. As such, the calculated revenue per year can grow up to 500k a year. Question: Is it fair for the founder to propose a 5%-10% equity for the expert or should the expert deserve more? Are there any other means to increase value for the expert? [link] [comments] |
Any recommendations & advice for a recipe site with WordPress? Posted: 07 Dec 2021 03:28 AM PST I'm not an experienced coder but have been creating a recipe site with WordPress. To set it apart from other recipe sites, my site is focused on a particular ingredient that can be used for different kinds of meals. Here are my questions. 1, Is there any plugin and theme you recommend? 2, Is there any tip or advice for content? 3, I've been reaching out to recipe provides via Social Media and other recipe sites to provide me with recipes. Is there any other ways you recommend in terms of collecting valuable content? 4, Is there anything I should be wary of or consider before proceeding further? Your advice would be greatly appreciated! [link] [comments] |
Question for entrepreneurs with business degrees Posted: 06 Dec 2021 09:39 PM PST Question for those who have gone through university courses for business and are now entrepreneurs: With the vast amount of information available on YouTube, Skillshare, etc, would you consider a formal business degree to still hold much value in the world of entrepreneurship/self employment? Especially in the world of blue collar business? Is it really worth the money, or do you think could one get an equivalent (but obviously informal) education through the internet for free? I've heard some arguments from both sides, and I'd like to try and narrow it down a bit by seeing what experienced entrepreneurs with business degrees have to say. Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |

Posted: 06 Dec 2021 06:05 PM PST What's the worst name for a business you've heard? I worked for a videography company named Candid Photography. It rolls off the tongue, it's nice, it's cool, but it seems so dumb to me. Why? Because the concept of "candid photography" already exists. If I Google "Candid Photography near me" or anything of the sort, their business doesn't come up anywhere near the first page because candid photography is a popular search term and known concept. It's like if you named an auto repair shop "auto repair shop." If you're hoping to network, advertise, and get your name out there, it seems like a remarkably hard place to start. Not to mention, kinda lazy. [link] [comments] |
