Estimation of lifestyle of income brackets

    Posted: 16 Dec 2021 12:30 AM PST

Can anyone approximately characterise what the lifestyle of various income brackets is, for example in terms of what kinds of purchases they could be making?

    Like:

25K: Lives in a modest apartment, doesn't eat out too often, has a little leisure spending money for social activities and essential purchases like technology, transport, clothing.

40K: Probably lives in a multi-room apartment and can do more leisure purchases - concerts, clothes, gourmet foods, books, etc.

100K: Can afford a genuinely luxurious apartment and make significant high-end purchases like a Tesla vehicle, high-end electric bike, and vacations in high-end hotels.

500K: Can afford a really swanky multi-story house in a rich neighbourhood, flies around as much as they please, can afford expensive medical treatments or cosmetic surgeries, pay for any top-end educational endeavour they want like an Ivy League institution, or invest in ventures like politics campaigns, philanthropy or start-ups.

1M: Can purchase a private boat or plane and live in a mansion.

Could anyone try to fill in roughly these details?

    Thank you.

    Posted: 15 Dec 2021 05:50 PM PST

This can be subjective so to be non opinionated, what would it be in terms of job opportunities and how well you are treated.

The education background a person would have is a bacholers degree who is working in these industries.

The smell of those after work business meetings

    Posted: 15 Dec 2021 01:20 PM PST

Every after work business meeting with people in suites has this specific smell I cannot put a finger on.

I assume the after 6pm meetings, the smell of leather shoes, cologne mixed with the days perspiration gives off this particular smell.

Does anyone else smell this as well?

I think it is the leather mixed with perspiration.

Does anyone here know this "business" scent?

Need help with our business organization process

    Posted: 15 Dec 2021 10:40 AM PST

    Hi,

So at our company, we came to a problem that is stopping our growth. Our company is now 7 years in the market. Up until last year, we were not that big. Our turnover in 2020 was about 900000USD.

However this year we grew 3 times. And as we grew, we hired more people and soon we saw that we have a huge problem. We are not as productive anymore. People are getting overworked although we are doing the same things as we always do.

After we hired a business strategy specialist to hold a strategic meeting for us, we saw that our main problem is that we do not have a clear system. We do not have policies and business processes set up. So new people that come to work are not properly introduced to how we are working.

It was fine when we were a small team. We knew each other well and we were a good team. But now with new people, it's hard to put them to work.

So my question is, does anybody know of a good course or other option how to set up business processes correctly?

I would really appreciate any help.

Stocking data in one place; solutions?

    Posted: 14 Dec 2021 11:37 PM PST

I'm one of the directors of a small oil production company in the south of the United States. At the moment, the company's workflow is carried out by filling out paper reports and then manually entering the data into the system. Due to this system, information is often stocked in different places. It takes a long time to gather all the information together, which results in our team's ineffectiveness and therefore our company. We have assigned several people for this job, but it turns out we need an upgrade.

We're not familiar with many systems that can provide us with a change for the better, but recently I learned at a conference in Canada about the possibility of complete digitalization of the entire workflow under one comprehensible interface. They claim it represents the future in this field. I found several companies that offer solutions for oil&gas companies, for example, https://www.digitaloilandgas.solutions/.

Despite the many directors opting out in favor of digitalization, I have my doubts regarding my company's data security and the quality of the equipment (especially the sensors). If my company transfers all the sensitive data to a third party, is it possible that this data will be in the hands of scammers? Or does the law oblige them to follow a non-disclosure agreement?

To be more precise, my general curiosity is: does cooperation with companies that promise complete digitalization of the data to represent a good business decision? I am aware that this service requires a significant amount of money, but the costs will decrease in the future. Therefore, our company is willing to invest.

I appreciate any opinion or advice regarding my curiosities.
