(Questions) Companies of one / 100% remote work / No office examples Posted: 23 Dec 2021 03:50 AM PST Does anyone give me examples(names) of 1, Companies of one that have been successful and completely remote. 2, Companies that let employees work remotely without renting office but have been thriving. I know companies like Evernote and Zapier were already letting their employees have a lot of flexibility but what I want to know are more of small companies like Nomadlist and Tortuga in which employees work remotely and their businesses are expanding. I'd also like to know if you think 100% remote work & No office trend will be normal in the future. Thanks! [link] [comments] |

Hi everyone! I’m new here, but I have a question that I’m hoping to get help with. Posted: 22 Dec 2021 05:05 PM PST TL;DR: How can I give a potentially game changing idea to a company, and be sure I'll be paid for the idea, (regardless of my investment in the company)? ::Intro if you care:: About me; I'm an investor/trader, small business consultant, landlord, with 10yrs in financial services and more than 20 in communications / sales / relationship management, a designer and volunteer, along many other things. My educational background is in Design & Marketing with an MBA and experience in Project Management. Thanks for reading the quickie bio… how do I provide, sometimes one off, ideas to a business or corporation and insure I'm paid if they use it? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |

Looking for billing solution for hourly workers Posted: 22 Dec 2021 03:43 PM PST I am looking to expand my academic coaching business and hire employees for the first time (I am currently a solopreneur). The coaches (employees) I will hire will be part-time W2 employees. Since I can't control when referrals come to the practice, employees will not have a set schedule but instead be hired on a flexible schedule where they get to set their own hours and get compensated just for hours worked directly with clients. The employees will not know the fee that clients will pay per session and I plan to bill clients directly. While I imagine there are many software solutions that track hourly billing, I not only need to track my employees' hours worked but also to accurately track the dates clients held sessions with the coach as I will be doing the billing. I can ask the employee to enter client appointments in a shared calendar to see their client schedule but my concern is that with the ease for an employee to modify the calendar and alter session dates they held with a client, if there is ever an employee grievance over pay and it goes to court, the employee can easily modify previous client appointments on the calendar to suit their claim and I would have no recourse. I essentially need a process to accurately determine when employees meet with clients that memorializes client appointments and could hold up to scrutiny in court. Any suggestions would be highly welcome. [link] [comments] |
