Posted: 29 Nov 2021 08:54 PM PST Howdy, just excited to say that I left my career path as a wildlife biologist with the federal government to work at a dispensary and now as a private consultant for marijuana brands to remain compliant and legal! I also invested what little money I had into crypto four years ago and have now maneuvered that money for the down payment on my house. I'm signing tomorrow and hopefully closing Wednesday. Wish me luck!! 10 acres in the mountains......all for me. I'll be moving in just before my 26th birthday next month and it feels like a dream. It's my cake day so I wanted to be able to celebrate these accomplishments with people who would understand :) hope its okay to post this here! If anyone has any questions about working as a consultant or crypto, feel free to ask :) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Nov 2021 09:00 PM PST Been a lurker here for a few months. I'm 21 years old and have been in the music world for a long time (subjectively), but more seriously in the last year. Been working at a studio as well as for a label. I've made my own music, but I'm actually honing in on the business side of music, and really enjoy what limited experience I have in artist management. Have almost sent out a resume to a specific management company twice. I'm almost through college, majored in management with a minor in music. I've worked other more standard jobs like interning as a project manager's assistant during the year and getting paid okay. I'm single with no trace of that changing in a while, so just have myself to worry about for now. I'm just really struggling with following my dream in the music business industry, because I do want to be stable financially and someday do hope to have a family if that works out, and of course RETIRE. Anyone else been through this and have some sage wisdom for me? [link] [comments] |
How could a GED interfere with my goals? Posted: 29 Nov 2021 09:45 PM PST A high school diploma is no longer in line with what I want, I won't get into the details, but if I were to drop out and get a GED, when my plan is to go into the trades, while hopefully making smart investments in both real estate and stocks, could NOT having a high school diploma make this harder? Obviously, while I'm working to get a trade license, I'd be working a job (which I don't yet have). I'm 17. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Nov 2021 09:18 PM PST Seems so hard to have any extra money after I pay all the bills. I feel poorer everyday. Does anyone else relate? [link] [comments] |
Is there any info by Ramit Sethi on how to apply IWTYTBR as a non-US international? Posted: 29 Nov 2021 08:42 PM PST No idea what a 401(k), or a roth IRA is. Does he ever go into how this applies to internationals? [link] [comments] |
