Does your DUNS number really help your business?

    Posted: 19 Nov 2021 04:57 AM PST

I keep receiving marketing emails about registering a DUNS number but I'm not sure if thats something I should get now as none of my clients has asked for it so far. My business supplies leather goods to small shops and stores in the US. Are you registered with DUNS and are you often asked about your number? Does it help your business? Thank you!

Should you give money back to a customer?

    Posted: 19 Nov 2021 08:20 AM PST

I am relatively new to being a business owner and have had customers purchase something roughly a week ago. Now with Black Friday coming around I have obviously placed a sale on these items. They call or stop in and ask if I can refund them the difference. What is the proper way to go about this? Should I refund the difference?

Anyone here own a CEX franchise? What are the pros and cons?

    Posted: 19 Nov 2021 05:49 AM PST

For those of you who don't know, CEX are a reseller company that deal in second hand goods. They've been around a while, and have a large number of stores across the world.

With that said, does anyone here own a CEX franchise? What are the pros and cons?

Can you introduce your own products and services? How much wiggle room do you have in deviating from standard CEX franchisor rules and regulations?

Do you always have to sell second hand stock, or can you speak to wholesalers and sell new products too?

Knowing what you know now, would you agree to sign up to become a CEX franchise owner again? How would you do things differently?

How to delegate and how much budget should I destinate to it?

    Posted: 19 Nov 2021 04:30 AM PST

Hello there, I'm a normal freelancer with my solo business (well, me and my girlfriend). As we are developing our business, the problem that we encounter is that there's too much to do and with some stuff we are really spending more time that should. This of course affect also us as couple. Therefore I thought to start delegating tasks to other people, in particular the technical stuff, like video editing, web design and such. Do you have any tips regarding how to delegate and, in particular, how much budget should we spend on it?

    Thanks in advance!

    Term paper brainstorming!

    Posted: 19 Nov 2021 03:15 AM PST

I have a paper coming up in which I have to identify an environmental sustainability problem as it applies to business and then develop a proposal for a business / service venture that helps solve the issue.

Anyone have any ideas or recommendations? I'm drawing a blank and feeling a little incompetent but trying to hang in there. All and any ideas / advice are welcome!

    Question about resale

    Posted: 18 Nov 2021 09:47 PM PST

Sorry for the poor english. English in not my first language and i dont really know the lingo even in my own language since i'm not a businessman.

I have a business idea, that involves resale of a certain product. This product is already being selled in my country by the company i had in mind, but my idea is about how to market that product and i am convinced it will blow up the sales figures.

Here's the question: If i make a deal about reselling this product, how do i prevent the company that manufactures the product from hijacking my business/marketing idea once they see that it works?
