Would you accept this loan terms?? Posted: 30 Sep 2021 08:03 PM PDT
I need the money but as a new business its hard to get a loan. This the only one I qualified for but it seems like predatory lending. Am I right or am I wrong? Edit: My situation = I have a balloon payment of $26,000 coming up in Nov 1. I will have 21k on Nov 1. I earn roughly 11k /month. My expenses are 5k / month. I just need a boost to get me through Nov and I should be able to pay back the loan in 3 months. Writing this just made it clearer why this would be a terrible idea [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Oct 2021 01:53 AM PDT Mind if we address something? Almost every entrepreneur does entrepreneurship on some level because they realize it's the only way to MAYBE get really, really, really rich. Or is this perception incorrect? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Oct 2021 04:45 AM PDT I am opening a small jewelry business, that I'll mostly be selling on Etsy and at craft fairs and festivals. I originally was going to name my business Persephone, but I found another shop with the same name online. Then I thought of Astraea or Asteria, but those were taken as well. Basically I wanted to name my business after something related to Greek Mythology, but it seems like ever name I come up with is already taken. So I suppose I have 2 questions: 1. how horrible would it be to have a similar name as another business (i.e. Persephone Jewelry), and 2. If it's a terrible idea, then any name inspiration would be awesome. Thank you [link] [comments]
How best to reach my market? (market is self-published authors) Posted: 01 Oct 2021 12:55 AM PDT I'm planning on launching a new business where my target market will be self-published authors. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time reaching my market. I'm of course working on FB and Google ads, form outreach (like Reddit), and LinkedIn by searching for "Self-published Author" as a job title for people, and all of those are producing results, but not nearly enough. So does anyone else have any ideas on how to reach that market? [link] [comments]
Need help with commercial cleaning business! Posted: 30 Sep 2021 02:36 PM PDT My parents have a house cleaning business that they have been running with just the two of them. My dad got COVID two weeks ago and has been in ICU since last week. He was the one who was in charge of the schedule and contacting the clients since my mom doesn't speak English. Now that he is sick, my mom is lost with running the business by herself so my sister and I are helping her. However, we would like to get more clients and I was thinking we could start also doing commercial cleaning. Currently they clean houses and my mom has been doing that for more than ten years so she has a lot of experience. I, on the other side, don't have any experience. I work full-time from home and I can even work weekends to keep up with running their business with my sister. I would be in charge of the marketing and talking to the clients. I need advice on how to manage a cleaning business and how to go about finding clients for commercial cleaning. Is it better than cleaning houses? My mom says she would prefer to clean offices because it would take her less time. What is required to clean in an office? Do you work nights, days, weekends? What needs to be included in the contract? How do you estimate pricing? Are there offices that require daily cleaning? What is the best way to get clients? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just very new to all this. TLDR: What is required to start a commercial cleaning business? How do the contracts work? How do you estimate pricing? want to start an online rare food ingrdient site and wondering about laws Posted: 30 Sep 2021 08:29 PM PDT I love to garden. I also ferment things like different hot sauces from peppers I grow and pickles. I also grow a lot of herbs and have an idea to grow specialty dehydrated culinary herbs with a focus on rare and difficult to grow varieties. My only question is what I would need to do from a legal standpoint. Would I need to have a commercial kitchen? I was thinking something like a food truck if I had to, but if there is a way I can do it in my house it would be better. I live in Michigan, USA if that helps. [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Sep 2021 10:41 PM PDT So I run a very successful kitchen and bathroom remodeling company that operated in California, Florida, And Arizona. The businesses runs like an absolutely machine and every single process from lead gen to selling the job, to production is absolutely flawless. I am considering either A) - Selling the business Or B) - Bringing on franchisees. I've actually already already got the contracts and all the franchise paperwork put together from a lawyer we just haven't started looking for investors yet because deciding if we want to sell or go full bore into the franchise model. Does anyone have experience franchising and if so whats the best way to start connecting with potential franchisees? [link] [comments]
Overnight/One-Day Shipping for Small Packages Posted: 30 Sep 2021 05:19 PM PDT I'm currently starting an eCommerce business, and all our products fit into a 3x3x1 inch box. We're also looking to offer customers overnight/1 day shipping. It seems like the major eCommerce shipping providers (Pirateship, Shippo, etc.) don't offer overnight/one day shipping for tiny packages. Are there any shipping carriers/options that provide overnight/one-day shipping for my small packages? Thank you! [link] [comments]
Bombardier- Play on potential vaccination mandates for flight ( BDRAF) Posted: 01 Oct 2021 02:01 AM PDT With possibility of incoming restrictions from Biden on Flight - What are thoughts on BDRAF as a play - private Jet charter and corresponding demand/ sales in the space - should skyrocket. Currently Bombardier is trading at $1.78 /share for a total Market cap of $4.16B USD. At market open - I plan to at minimum open a background position -but this seems like a company that can be leveraged beautifully- where the sky is the limit on the high end if it overshoots - R&D / additonal resources in Aerospace could be utilized to create a serious moat. Perhaps we can even use some of the proceeds to book a flight or two for ourselves if this takes off. Not saying this is Rocketlabs - but It could take us to the Moon. See you on the Tarmac. Posted: 30 Sep 2021 08:54 PM PDT I have an idea for a blog with revenue/traffic potential. When securing a website name, should you also snag the other domains with the same name? For instance, should you get "thisismyblog.com" as well as "thisismyblog.net" and .io, .co, etc.? What about securing all social media handles too? [link] [comments]
Experience with buying a website? Posted: 30 Sep 2021 04:01 PM PDT Hey A few months ago I was surfing the web and found a few websites that let you buy websites, that apparently already make money. Now all I'm wondering is if anybody has any experience with that? Why would a person/business sell a website if it's profitable and generates income? Has anyone on here ever purchased or sold their websites, if so, why? [link] [comments]
What Documents Do I Need for the State Home Health Care Agency Survey? Posted: 30 Sep 2021 05:34 PM PDT I hope to meet some business owner who owns Home Health Care Agency that provdies medical skilled nursing service in California. I have a question that is What Documents Do I Need for the State Home Health Care Agency Survey? I am in California. My Home Health Care Agency that provides medical skilled nursing is currently undergoing the licensure process. Today I got a call from Public Health Department local district office. They said that they would do a Medicare Survey. I asked her what documents I need to present to her during the survey. She said Policy and Procedure, Mock Patient Records(??), Contracts with My Staff like therapists(??) I am really confused. Why do I need mock patient records or contract with my staff before I even have license? She then asked me to read about Title 22 for Home Health Care Agency. I searched online there are too much to read about Title 22. Can you please advice what document I need in order to do the Medicare Survey? By the way, my agency is licensed only and Medi-Caid only, I am not applying to be Medicare accredited. I am not sure if it makes any difference. [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Sep 2021 04:53 PM PDT I am in the process of hiring a social media marketer. 1. To run ads for me on Facebook and Instagram. (Paid) 2. To take over my Social media accounts and post on my behalf that would include posts, stories, videos etc. (organic sales) My question is 1. What is something/s that I should be aware of before hiring them? What are the red flags during the hiring process? 2. Obviously I want sales, so what is the metric I should be looking for? Do they guarantee on the number of followers or sales? Any other input would be appreciated. Thank you so much for your time!! [link] [comments]
Manager to run small business: possible? Posted: 30 Sep 2021 01:31 PM PDT I have a small landscaping and grounds maintenance business and I'm looking to sell up, however; I'm also considering the options to keep the business and have it run by a manager. The concept of having the business manager run is attractive: it's a source of income and one I can nurture in a hands-off manner. On the other hand, I have serious concerns about leaving the business (including a good chunk of my personal capital) in the hands of someone else. I would like to hear from anyone with experience in handing the reins of their small business to a manager. Pros, cons? Any advice or insights would be very well received!! Posted: 30 Sep 2021 01:29 PM PDT Single-Member LLC, Small Annual Revenue (starting to grow), No Employees or 1099s. I am paying Referral Commissions to a non-employee, referring-business partner (in his personal name as he doesn't have a business). I plan to deduct/claim these payments as 2021 Business Expenses to my LLC. Accordingly, do I simply declare the annual total of his payments as 'Other Business Expense' under his personal name (I believe that's the section I use for some of my marketing and miscellaneous expenses that aren't categorized elsewhere like Legal/Attorney)? Anything else I need to consider related to potential 1099 relationship even though he only introduces leads to me and is employed in a separate industry? Am I required to create a 1099-NEC if he will earn thousands annually from my payments? Last year, I spent thousands on legal/attorney fees but I don't recall creating any 1099-NEC to any person or entity. Thanks! [link] [comments]

Not sure what to do/think about this situation with employee. Posted: 30 Sep 2021 09:50 AM PDT I have an employee who is the only one in the company who can do his job. He works full time and at the moment, I don't have enough hours to hire another person to do his job, so that I have a back up. He knows how important his role is and that if I lost him, I would be pretty screwed until I replace him, which might not be super easy. I consider myself a pretty good and fair boss, and pay a good wage. This employee is a little strange and that's fine, we get along pretty good and his work is good. The last few days he's been acting a little distant and maybe upset. He is a pretty sarcastic person in general, but the past few days he has made a few snarky remarks that make me think he might have a problem with me. I have asked him openly if there are any problems, or anything he wants to talk about, and he says no. I assume he is just having some personal issue. Cut to this morning and he is 30 minutes late for work, which is out of character. I texted him and just wanted to make sure he was coming to work. He responded 5 minutes later that "No, I'm not. I found another job, sorry." I have a mini heart attack and immediately start drafting a craigslist ad to replace him, when he walks in the door laughing his butt off. He said the bus was just late and he got me good. He said don't worry, I would never do that to you. It's great that he didn't leave me high and dry, but I am just very put off by the whole thing. First of all, I was shown that if he did do that, what position I would be in, which I want to avoid. As I said earlier, I don't have enough hours/work to hire another person without cutting back on his hours. I also feel like this was pretty disrespectful and out of line for an employee, and might have been some kind of mind game/power play. What are your thought? Thank you! [link] [comments] |
