Is LinkedIn required in order to be successful in sales? Posted: 05 Jun 2021 06:49 AM PDT I'm not a fan of social media because I'm private and don't want people to be able to search me up and find out information about me like where I work/live or where I've worked before. I don't have any social media including LinkedIn. Will I not be able to land good sales jobs without one? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Jun 2021 05:16 PM PDT Guys honestly, Ik everyone has had there post about loving this subreddit. But I am a recent college grad and I have gotten amazing feedback, comments, DMs from people. Y'all truly are what I love about this career path. HAPPY HUNTING!! [link] [comments] |

How to find remote sales jobs? Posted: 05 Jun 2021 07:41 AM PDT Hi all, I am moving and I have really enjoyed WFH with my current job that sort of fell into my lap. My current job is local and so no transfer available. What websites have great remote sales jobs? I have 5+ years selling HR tech/service. I'm open to SaaS. TIA! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Jun 2021 01:45 AM PDT How do you make your LinkedIn attractive to hiring managers and visitors in general. What would make you look like a great (consultive) sales person. PS: I work for a medical research equipment company and our customers are researchers at universities. One of the awesome things that they do is to publish really cool scientific papers using our technology. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Jun 2021 12:13 AM PDT Hi, I work at a marketing agency as a sales lead qualifier. We have 5 people qualifying leads and 5 people selling. At the moment we have about 2-3 warm leads coming in from our digital ads, which is low. When I started I was given a list of unqualified companies and I had to go through them. From 80-100 activities (calls and no answers) I can get 2-4 qualified leads, but my goal was 7. Since I had some previous skill in cold calling I could book 7-8 meetings, but most of them wouldn't need our service or we couldn't help. I really hated calling companies and forcing them on a meeting knowing that there will be no result and the salesteam will be angry. My question is: should I just cold call on a phone a lot of companies just asking if they need our services or should I try to push the conversation further to try to find some problem they have that we can solve, because as you know people tend to not open up at first when you disturb their day? Posted: 04 Jun 2021 07:03 PM PDT I'm feeling stuck in insurance sales. I make good money but I'm actually convinced my 10 year old niece could do my job it's so monotonous. I've been here two years and I've never once been headhunted. I'm not saying I'm not willing to put in the work (I know you have to stand out and put yourself out there) but I just get the vibe most recruiters look at insurance sales folks as a joke. I was an AE for a VoIP company for 4 months and left due to a low point in my life. I got contacted weekly by companies hiring for AE positions. I've been here for 2 years and have hit 250% of my quota both years and have not had 1 person reach out to me. How do I get out?? HELP lol [link] [comments] |
You have nothing to lose and can work anywhere/sell anything - what do you choose? Posted: 04 Jun 2021 05:26 PM PDT Pretend you have no deals on the table you'll lose commission on, it doesn't matter if you lack experience in the industry, you can afford 6 months of ramp up, and you're not stuck in an industry….based on what you know from experience: What industry do you get into, what do you sell, what's your role? Posted: 04 Jun 2021 06:51 PM PDT Hey y'all! Here in the next month or so I am receiving a promotion into sales at my current work place. I will be selling pro audio and video systems to commercial customers (schools, churches, hospitals, hospitality, etc.) I have been installing and running the installs for the last few years so I am very familiar with the items I'm selling. And I am very excited to move into a sales role! My boss is having me read many sales books to help learn. But, I am curious if you guys have any tips for a new salesman? Thanks! Also if it helps, I am majoring in marketing in college currently. I got sort of a late start on the higher education thing haha [link] [comments] |
How many of you use partners as part of your sales to scale revenue? Posted: 04 Jun 2021 11:26 PM PDT I used email to scale revenue partnerships for our SaaS to $1M ARR+ in less than 2 years. Currently, I'm writing a copy of my templates & how to draft the emails for your company. I've found using partners as a great distribution model for achieving sales quotas. Have you leveraged that for your company?[link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Jun 2021 02:34 PM PDT Share it here. What was your worst sales job ever? Mine was Yelp. Its a boiler room. They over promised and it was awful, felt like a fratty kool-aid drinking clan. Managers were 24-26 yo with no leadership skills. Glorified telemarketing What was your worst role? [link] [comments] |
If you could improve one quality of your sales skills what would you improve? Posted: 04 Jun 2021 06:41 PM PDT What is the one area you wish you could get better at in your sales career and why? And I don't mean how much you get paid! If you could 'Level Up' what would it be that you would and why? [link] [comments] |
What do you have in your "Sales Tech Stack"? Posted: 04 Jun 2021 04:26 PM PDT Curious as to what tech your using to power your sales performance? [link] [comments] |
Landed in the top 25 college students across America selling Cutco this past semester! Posted: 04 Jun 2021 08:22 PM PDT Seriously never imagined that sales would be something I'd be decent at, but I managed to sell over $22k worth of knives selling part time around school this past semester, earning me a little scholarship with the company. Just wanted to share some good news. Especially after one lady told me I'd be better off working at McDonalds. And fyi, less than 5% of those sales were to friends/family. There's a myth out there that after you've sold Cutco to your friends and family, you're done. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Jun 2021 08:14 PM PDT Any former Heartland payroll reps in here that would be willing to discuss the commission plan?? Thanks!!! [link] [comments] |
Help using Instagram to find leads Posted: 04 Jun 2021 02:54 PM PDT I'm looking for restaurants or food trucks with high (5k+) follower counts. I'd like to be able to filter by location and cuisine type as much as possible. I'm having a difficult time figuring out how to get all 3 (high followers, cuisine, location) into a search. Thoughts? Edit: to clarify, I'm trying to find clients on several major cities that want to expand by renting kitchen spaces from my company. I don't have access to the company Instagram account [link] [comments] |
