Any one started their own business by acquiring an existing business? Posted: 09 May 2021 06:53 PM PDT While most people want to have their own business including me, but I am unable to come up with a great new idea to start a startup with venture capital. I am thinking to explore acquiring some business through debt financing, then pivot the business to something fast growing. Right now, it's just a theoretical idea in mind. Would love to understand if anyone here has successfully (or unsuccessfully) acquired an existing old business and then pivoted to something new. What are your thoughts and experience around this? Posted: 09 May 2021 10:38 PM PDT Hello, everyone! I am currently in university, and we have a project that is coming up and would love to hear all of your ideas on it before we run with the prototype and everything. Our business goal is to reduce fashion waste as it is the number 1 pollution in the world. So, our group came up with the idea of creating an app for special occasion dress rental or clothes swapping to reduce the spending and waste of buying dresses just for a one-time purpose. We have decided to create an app, it will provide a platform for users to place their product for swapping clothes with others and also an option to place their product for rent. The company will receive a small percentage of profit through this transaction. The products will be shipped out to the consumers/ renter with the shipping cost of the rentee. Link to the app prototype, please have a look: https://www.figma.com/file/7QHji34CZE7NokAE5eFmMV/BEX3411-Prototype?node-id=0%3A1 We appreciate any feedback/comments/criticism. Thank you in advance for contributing to our assignment. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 09 May 2021 07:15 PM PDT There are some really great alternative recipes but as far as I've seen there are no current manufacturers of a dairy free cottage cheese. Would love to get something like this on the market :) [link] [comments] |

Posted: 09 May 2021 03:44 PM PDT My owner owns a marketing agency and thinks of being a genius and thinks he can really smell talent so the hiring process is basically us going to arabic or indian stores and buy an umbrella for cheaper than the original price and Almund licmahdic gets the weirdest people in his store once a girl cried to get a discount from Almund and she got HIRED anyway. I believe this is highly stupid and racist how i deal with this?he keeps on saying that brown man in street is the best way to practice your business skill and that no entrepenaur still knows about this. CFO pay. What should my spouse be making? Posted: 09 May 2021 11:34 AM PDT My spouse helped start a construction startup 3 years ago as the CFO. They've gone from 10-15 employees the first year to about 85 now. They did about 40 million dollars in gross revenue in 2020 and show a net profit of about 1.5 million dollars. For such a short history, the company is doing extremely well. The owner does come from a wealthy family and so they don't have some of the same hang ups that many startups might have. My spouse was basically running everything from internal accounting/billing to payroll to HR alone in the beginning. now has a small staff helping with some of these more monotonous duties. They're currently implementing a brand new industry specific accounting software program to move away from QuickBooks which they have quickly outgrown. This has caused to have to work about 80 hours a week for several months but that should be over soon hopefully. This is located in a MCL medium sized Midwestern city. They have very good benefits and thus far has been getting 5% bonuses each year as well as 5% annuall raises. Also is provided a company vehicle to commute. We are just wondering what kind of annual salary a position like this should expect. My spouse loves The position and is comfortable with the fact that it's a newer business and needs to try and keep costs down but now that things are looking great, just wondering what a reasonable expectation should be Now and going forward as far as salary goes Edited to add that my spouse is highly organized and extremely talented as well as one of the most well-liked people you will ever find. Is extremely bright and social. Everybody truly loves my spouse. I've always thought my spouse should be running a large company making huge money but that really never interested them. But this is a job my spouse absolutely loves Thanks in advance for any input [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 May 2021 10:59 AM PDT Can universities be considered as businesses? Having their own business model on how to operate, adapt to changing situations (Brexit) or making future decisions to fulfil their fundings and revenues? Or do you think there is no relation between business and the education sector? [link] [comments] |

Conflict Resolution on the Business Posted: 09 May 2021 04:12 AM PDT Hello, I am working on a small essay about conflict management, I would like to know if you, could point me in the right direction. I am looking for articles, papers, etc. that have done any kind of study regarding companies that have implemented Conflict Resolution policies and trained staff on it vs companies that do not have such policies. Thanks in advance for your help. [link] [comments] |
