Questions about the SBA 7(a) loan subsidy Posted: 03 Mar 2021 09:31 PM PST Hi folks, I understand that the SBA is currently paying principal and interest, up to a total of $9,000 per month, for a few months on 7(a) loans. They also waive the SBA guarantee fee. I have found conflicting information about how many months they'll pay. Most of the sources I've found say 6 months, but I've also heard that this was recently modified to 3 months (but can't find any supporting information about that). Can you help clarify? Also, is this subsidy a taxable event? Thanks! [link] [comments] |

Friend just started a leather business from his garage. Want to help him grow it but don't know how Posted: 03 Mar 2021 08:59 PM PST Hi guys, just a quick post, if anyone would be so kind as to drop their two cents. My friend just started a small business, from his garage, making leather products, like wallets and such. He's a genuinely good guy and I want to see it succeed. Is there anything I can do, aside from posting about him on social media, that you think could/would be helpful to such a business? Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
New calculations for Schedule C filers!!! But what if you already got your second PPP? Posted: 03 Mar 2021 08:17 PM PST Ok so I am reading on various sites that they are not going to allow Sole Props, Independent contractors, or anyone that files a schedule C to increase their loan amount. Is this really true? They allowed Businesses with Partnerships to increase their loan amounts when the SBA new rules came out last May even if they only had 21 days to do it. I hope someone has some different information for me to ease me. Schedule C filers are the lowest loan amounts out there and now we can I increase for the few thousand more that we would receive. We are already capped at $100,000 per employee but most don't have employees so therefore the most you could get in a loan is $20,833.00 Ruth Chris and Shake Shack found loopholes around the 500 employee count by using each individual restaurant instead of the chain as a whole. yeah they returned the money but without any repercussion. But us lowly self employed individuals cant update our applications and receive the full amount? Heck, they should let us update both PPP loans and receive the increased amount for both. I am sorry for the angry rant but if anyone has any feed back please help me to understand why the SBA isn't fair!!! [link] [comments] |

I am a young entrepreneur looking to kickstart a business Posted: 03 Mar 2021 06:26 PM PST Hey everyone. So I am 15 years old and found that I have wayyy too much time on my hands. I spend it all playing Xbox, and I've realized during this time, I could make money managing my own business. Nothing crazy, just a simple, low maintenance, business. Any suggestions? Could this business idea work? Posted: 03 Mar 2021 03:18 PM PST I wanna start a business where people come can to a computer lab with either a day pass or monthly membership (almost like a gym), and use the computers for anything they want (not anything but you get the idea). One thing I wanna include is free use of Adobe CC but I'm not sure how I'd get Adobe CC for the whole building and all the different computers (my high school did that but idk how they did it so if someone could explain how please comment below). Also please gimme feedback on this idea. [link] [comments] |
