☎️ Do YOU host sales or demo calls? What has your experience been like? Posted: 04 Dec 2020 02:08 AM PST Hi all, Do you provide your website visitors with the option to schedule sales (or software demo) calls with you? If yes, what's the most annoying thing about the whole process? I'm working on a B2B SaaS app and was wondering about everyone else's experiences and best practices. Thanks! :) [link] [comments] |

Are there any free solutions for this problem? What alternatives are there for paid solutions for a small business? Also, are there any free solutions for filing systems? (i already have a paid 2TB Cloud storage) [link] [comments] |
Can someone teach me the basics? Posted: 03 Dec 2020 08:37 PM PST First of all, I hope this is the right subreddit. Next, not gonna lie I'm only 15, and I'm not sure if this is a crazy idea, or a good idea, but I want to operate a vending machine. It sounds too easy and I'm still researching to see if I need some sort of license/permit. I also need to find a business that would let me operate a vending machine. Then I need to actually find a vending machine for a decent price. I don't know a lot about business, and I was hoping someone could give me advice and guide me through the essentials. Advice for dealing with family members in business Posted: 03 Dec 2020 12:04 PM PST I work in a family business that was started by my late grandfather, and I am having trouble negotiating with family, specifically my parents. For context: I have a background in economics from a top tier university and several years of experience in real estate outside of the family business. I was brought in because of my expertise, yet my advice is not being taken seriously. The business is in commercial real estate, specifically the ownership of industrial properties that are leased by my family. My grandfather was a great businessman, but as often happens his kids became completely incompetent and have no clue how to run a business. As the third generation, I see it as my responsibility to continue his legacy, but I'm running into issues with my parents, specifically my mother. My mother is a very sweet woman, but...she is not a business person. She's an artist, and very indecisive, and she should never have been put in control of a business of this size. For the past twenty years she has terribly mismanaged the business as well as her personal finances. I fear that if nothing is done, she will eventually run the business into the ground, sacrificing our legacy and my children's future. Additionally, my father is a stubborn and toxic person who screams people out of the room when they disagree with him. The thing is, this is not a difficult business to run. But my parents don't understand basic concepts of real estate like how to take a loan, or what depreciation is (it's quite insane). I know that I can maintain, as well as easily grow our business. But I don't have the authority to do so. I have written detailed reports offering new investments that would easily be profitable, as the company currently has zero debt. I feel very strongly that we need to diversify and make moves to lower our tax burden. How can I go about taking power away from my parents, without them understanding that they're giving up control? I don't want to do anything hostile, but it is clear at this point that their actions are detrimental to everyone's financial future, including their own. Would a family business consultant be a good idea? [link] [comments] |

Anyone having a hard time recruiting entry-level employees? Posted: 03 Dec 2020 02:49 PM PST |
Posted: 03 Dec 2020 01:28 PM PST Hi. I am interested in setting up a business within the US and Korea but there is a huge chance that business might take place in China as well. I was thinking of creating a business email account with Gmail or Yahoo but if there is a chance of working in China those websites might not work since they are censored by the government. Any recommendations on what email service providers to use that not only work in the US but also in places where most US websites are censored? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 03 Dec 2020 09:35 AM PST I am a business student and a junior in university. I have always wanted to start a business not for the sake of it, but to actually do something good for the community and make people'e lives easier. But whenever I start a topic to study for starting a business, I am not super persistent. I am always worried that will it be successful or what if the field vanishes in a few years? Posted: 03 Dec 2020 07:15 AM PST Success doesn't just find you . You have to go out and get it . One major thing my dad used to tell me is if you don't know on doors and network you won't get anywhere in life . I remember one person I knew who had a lot of friends that were professional of a higher status always getting things done from contacts . Seeing him one day made me think and it clicked even more about what my dad was saying to me . I knew I was missing a strong network . Here is a story for you about a time I knocked on a door and if I settled I would've never found the prize . I was doing my normal rounds and stops in the recycling business . I saw a huge warehouse throwing away tons of metal . In the recycling business a lot of times it's better to knock on the backdoor . That is what I did. The workers told me that they were already working with somebody and they couldn't help me . At that time I need I needed to speak to a higher up . Pushing further I made a deal with the owner of the business . I hired my own workers and cleaned all the metal for free and paid him saving him time and making money in the process . My dad had a contact that bought metal shelving for higher than scrap so I also included him in the deal . We both made $5000 in 3 days . If I never pushed further than the worker who told me no I would have missed the job . It was one of my best days of business . If you're stuck on business or have any questions I'm happy to answer them . [link] [comments] |
