Partner Company under new ownership partly owned by competitor. Posted: 09 Nov 2020 02:24 AM PST Hi All, not sure if this is the right sub-reddit, however just needs some tips on a possible steps moving forward. I'll try to keep any identifiers to a minimum. There are 4 parties in this scenario. Scenario: Company C and their products are the direct competitor of Company A. Recently the CEO of Company D has joined the board of Company B, but Company D is also majority owner of Company C. Likely in future, Company D will advise Company B, to move their clients from Company A to Company C. There is no agreement that Company B must exclusively refer to Company A. What can Company A do to retain said customers, or have those customers move from Company B Banner to directly with Company A. I'm a junior in Company A, but we are asked to brainstorm this scenario, and to see what potentially we can do to retain our clients. I'm still learning the ropes, so any direction, or questions to ask would be great help. Thank you. [link] [comments] |

Computer Repair Business Prices Posted: 08 Nov 2020 11:47 PM PST I have ran a computer business of sorts as a kid, we kind of randomly came up with prices as we seen fit. We were pretty young and honestly dumb. Our prices were really good as customers would say. We were much cheaper than the competition. I was wondering what kind of prices you guys were asking. I'll be doing system setups, virus removal, system cleanups, some smart home setups etc. I will be one guy running this out of my house. Heck, What do I charge gas? What's everyone doing? Understanding the Beyonce & Adidas IvyPark Partnership Posted: 08 Nov 2020 05:31 PM PST Why did Beyonce, an artist who has the financial resources to build her clothing brand independently and possibly open her own stores partner with Adidas? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 08 Nov 2020 01:24 PM PST Hey r/ Upfront: Sorry if this is posted in the wrong subreddit. I'm a freelancer in IT and do automation, web design/hosting, provide hardware and software and do this next to my full time job in IT as a side-business. I've been contacted by a party that wants to form a partnership with me for the design of websites. To keep it short, I'll first post my worked out business plan for websites: I manage:- Web/Domain Hosting- Design website- Maintenance of website The customer pays a one-time fee for the design of the website, and an annuel fee for the webserver, licenses, domain, ... to me. This is mostly my revenue because I use shared licenses, so the more customers I have, the more ROI I have on this. The partner in question, wants to do it like this: I manage:- Design Website- Update of website content They manage:- Web/Domain hosting- Maintenance- Contact with customer My main concern is that the partner gets a client, the client wants A, Partner relays B to me, I create site based on B, Customer says its wrong, I get to redesign the website to A. If the partner updates the CMS or Webhosting and something breaks, I need to fix it. If changes to the hosting need to be made, it takes a lot more time to get it done. The upside is, that I currently have no real website business at the moment, and the recurring earnings of the design and creation of the website is always good money earned. I don't want to get stuck with fixing issues with websites because someone else than me performs lousy maintenance on it. Is this a normal deal in business that the designer/creater/support person itself never speaks to the customer? Would you accept the deal with a pre-made agreement that after delivery of the website, maintenance and fixing it is not part of my responsibility? [link] [comments] |
Can/How can I see the profits of a company from a particular product? Posted: 08 Nov 2020 01:50 PM PST For example how much did Frito-lay made from Fritos in June 2020. Any questions? Feel free to ask them. Thanks in advance for your help. [link] [comments] |
Is there a term for a business that tries to make its products as Universal as possible? Posted: 08 Nov 2020 10:05 AM PST For instance, Apple products tend to specifically be compatible only with other Apple products in most regards. Apple products are also built only to last a certain amount of time. What would be the opposite, where the product is meant to be as compatible with other tech and user friendly as possible? (Other traits would be: easy to fix or hack, long lifespan, making certain assets public such as code) [link] [comments] |
A Question Regarding The Future Of Business Posted: 08 Nov 2020 06:39 AM PST Given the current situation with the global pandemic, which sectors do you think will experience growth in the future, and which of them do you think will need to create or empower their digital presence? Operations Management Homework Posted: 08 Nov 2020 06:18 AM PST Had my first lesson earlier and currently trying desperately to do my homework. However I have no idea if what Im doing is correct at all. Basically Im supposed to use the breakeven analysis to find out wether inhousing or one of 2 outsourcing options have a cost advantage. However, I do not have a selling price and there is also no fixed costs for either of the outsourcing companies. If anyone could help me, just send me a DM Id really appreciate it because I am beyond lost right now. [link] [comments] |
