What influences a customer to buy your product?

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 11:17 PM PST

To answer that question, we need to ask another question "What are our thoughts made of?"

All of our values, beliefs, behaviours, etc are all made up of STORIES.

The stories we tell ourselves about when we were kids, when we were growing up, our bad moments, our good moments, etc.

Everything we think of today is just a story we've believed in.

So if we can try to relate with a customer's story, and create a message around it, we can influence them to buy.

Or even better, be a part of one of their stories, it takes a lot to be one of those, but eventually your brand should become an integral story of their life.

It's not a coincidence that Lays wants you to eat them during cricket, or Tanishq wants to be a part of your weddings, or Nike wants to be a part of your athletic endeavours.

It's a big grand scheme of creating a STORY with you.

    Sustainable packaging labels

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 09:43 PM PST

    Hi all,

I'm doing some research for a client who is looking for sustainable bottle labels for essential oils. Ideally they would be somewhat oil-resistant but I don't know if oil-resistant and sustainable go together. Does anyone know of any good companies producing product labels with sustainable / eco-friendly materials?

    Also, preferably an Australian company.

    Thanks in advance!

    Help with replacing key employee.

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 03:46 PM PST

I recently inherited a struggling small family construction business. I have managed to turn it around about 85%. Removing the old guard that was causing problems and replacing with good help. I am running into a problem with one of the last of them. He is an estimator and project manager. He is good at his job. His personality doesn't allow me to oversee him. He percieves himself as the boss and wants to follow his own vision. We have worked well together in the past, and he has told me he will follow my lead. But it does not seem to be the case. He has been demanding more money and I reached an accord with him, he was due to sign an employment contract with him today. That did not happen, as I repremanded him for not following training protocol for new estimator/ project manager. He is now holding over my head the possibility of leaving. Implying that with out him I will fail. I do somewhat feel that is true. We rely on commercial bids to sustain business and he is currently the only estimator in that dept. We run a specialty construction service so good help is not easy to find. I am so anxiety ridden as I try and think of ways to replace him without failing in the mean time with training or a learning curve. Commercial estimating is also the one aspect of the business I am weakest at. What do I do? I need to take back control

Any recruiter want to help me with a role play for a SDR position and provide some feedback?

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 02:18 PM PST

I have a interview for a company I've wanted to join for a while. I'm in the final round. And I feel I really impressed the first round. I would like to to talk to a recruiter about the role playing aspect of the interview and possibly more if they have the time. Many thanks in advanced.

Tax Credits for Business Ideation through Implementation

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 09:54 AM PST

I'm trying to understand how tax credits work from the ideation stage. Who creates new ideas for tax credits, Congress? Is there a specific department or subdepartment responsible for their management? How is it ultimately decided what things get tax credits?

Although I'm curious about individuals, I'm specifically interested in how businesses and corporations utilize tax credits and how those credits for business are decided.

Does this have to be a company?

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 12:53 PM PST

So, I want to do an online-based award 'show' with just fan voting and having judges involved.

As the 'show' is all online and wouldn't be earning any money as it would be run by myself with the only money being spent on awards and their shipping.

Would I have to set up a company for this be 'legit'?

I'm just worried as I know companies have to pay taxes and lots of other stuff, but if the show is designed to make no money then... I'm confused.

Sorry if the answer should be really obvious, but I don't want to get myself in worry or be wrong about it.

Making a Company in a Foreign Country without actually being there possible?

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 07:18 AM PST

So I'll try to make this as short as possible since I know your time has value.

Basically, in order to support online transactions, I need a Payment Gateway which are not really available in my country.

I tried making a company in the U.K but they said that they won't support my "specific" country because of international laws.

I tried googling some other stuff and found UAE but it was wayyyy too expensive for me as a start-up (they asked for 5500$ as a starting fee).

I looked into USA but they said I need to be physically there in order to open up a bank account.

So my question is, anyone have any other ideas considering I can't travel to any other country?

Top JPMorgan Analyst Says Economic Disaster And More Lockdowns Will Be Great For Stocks

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 09:42 AM PST

Although it has had a negative impact in the short term, the reemergence of lockdowns and resultant growth weakness could bolster the above equity upside over the medium to longer term via inducing more QE and thus more liquidity creation.

... "the upside for equities over the medium to longer term depends more on debt and liquidity creation and thus central bank QE than on fiscal stimulus."

...."It also means that the virus resurgence and the reemergence of lockdowns and growth weakness could bolster the above equity upside via inducing more QE and thus more liquidity creation."

How can I take more risks?

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 07:15 AM PST

I'm in high school and I'm sick of all the studying. I do want to go to college/university but I don't want a degree to be my main goal. How do I gather the balls to start something on my own and maybe one day dropout? I'm not fantasizing (I think, I hope); I know that dropping out does not mean immediate success, and that getting a degree is a safe and guaranteed way of earning in the future. thanks
