    Owning multiple businesses

    Posted: 12 Oct 2020 09:13 PM PDT

I'm new to this and hopefully posting in the right place...can my rental property business that I own, pay a landscaping company that I own to maintain the properties?

If so, could the rental property company claim those services paid to the landscaping company as business expenses and deduct them?

Intel and Apple are two huge brands/businesses that have become highly successful in the last several decades. How is this possible with their current practices?

    Posted: 12 Oct 2020 04:25 PM PDT

Hello.I was questioning myself how two large companies could become so successful. In this case, Apple and Intel. Both offer features that it's competitors, mainly android and AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) already have.AMD is another story, since they only recently have built from the bottom. But android has been offering features like USB 3.0, hand gestures for built in cameras, fingerprint ID, etc.

How is it possible that they both are still going, even though they don't always offer the best price/feature points?

Question on relying on users business model

    Posted: 12 Oct 2020 07:07 PM PDT

Hello! I just had some questions about a business model that relys on other people. For example, Facebook. Facebook can't work without other people. If there is only 3 users on facebook it won't work because the point of it is to explore and find new friends or find existing friends. If existing friends are not on facebook why should they be on it. Facebook relys on other users being there. So my question is, how does this business model become successful? Thanks!

    Friends, what topics, please?

    Posted: 12 Oct 2020 05:27 PM PDT

I've been in the metals industry for the past 20 years, now doing some consulting. Someone who has a successful consulting company recommended that I start making short daily videos in my niche (metals) telling stories or solving problems, ultimately giving major value to people who watch it; that brings me here to ask you what topics should I cover that would bring value to you?

Best Way to Assume Leadership in Partnership

    Posted: 12 Oct 2020 05:06 PM PDT

As title says, I'm looking to tell business partner that I want managing control of business. Partner is also friend, so anyway I can do this in the least hurtful way possible would be great.

It's been about a year since we've begun the business with me bringing in 90% of the clients. I've created the website, all the marketing, etc.

    Any advice is helpful.

6x My Income in 6 Months

    Posted: 12 Oct 2020 04:03 PM PDT

I have decided to set a goal to 6x my monthly income in 6 months, which should be around 30-40k/month.

    A little background:

    • I have a full time job which makes me around 5-7k per month.
    • Bringing in 500-1k per month through side business.
    • Recently started a YT channel that I would like to eventually monetize.

I believe the first step I should take is to find a mentor that is willing to work with me on this.

Looking at my income sources, scaling the business is probably the best way to achieve these results or if I could somehow monetize the YT channel very quickly (seems unlikely)

Any advice? I know this is a longshot, but I want to shoot for the stars and maybe land on the moon ;)

    First time large deal

    Posted: 12 Oct 2020 12:16 PM PDT

I am a student in the UK and have a one time deal going through worth at most- £10,000. I do not have a registered company but I am interested to know how I should handle this. I feel like I need to do more than simply accepting a bank transfer? How can I draw up proof of transaction etc. without any form of registered company. Also I presume, even though £10,000 would not be profit, this would all contribute to my personal income allowance for the year? Thank you very much!

How can I prove that I provided a service?

    Posted: 12 Oct 2020 04:46 AM PDT

    Hello,

I run a service based business where I offer site creation, marketing on social media and coaching 1-on-1 with my clients.

My clients purchase from my website by using their cards, and my payment processor is Stripe.

I was wondering, if someone calls their bank and says that I scammed them, or didn't provide the service, how could I possibly win the chargeback?

    What evidence could I present?

Thanks for reading, and an up vote is always helpful, and could help someone in my same situation.
