    ETF Portfolio Allocation

28yo allocated 100k aside for long term investment. After personal research I will be looking to divide the fund up between a few specifically chosen ETFS. As of now I have settled on:

    VTI (30%) QQQ (30%) ARKK (15%) BTC (15%) KWEB (10%)

IMO portfolio is aggressively aimed towards growth & but searching for advice to make a better informed decision on investment style fund allocation (invest @ once or contribute overtime)

    Cheers!

Are there any good graphs/charts that show clothing industry cost drivers such as returns?

I can't seem to find any good visual data on the impact that returns have on clothing companies/industry. Any help would be appreciated.

Small Business - How do you close the information gap when clients submit an RFQ?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 03:43 PM PDT

    Hi Everyone,

I'm currently working on a small engineering team of six people. We're relatively new in the space but we do a lot of fixes/builds for companies in our area. Recently, we've been getting a lot more RFQs in and have responded with some solid proposals. Our proposals have great templates we can use for different scenarios, though, we've noticed there is an information gap between what we are given by the client company and what we find out along the course of the project. This frequently causes rework to happen during project cases and we're looking to eliminate this issue. Ideally, we would like to standardize the intake process so we are missing as little information as possible at project start. We are not facing an issue with winning the bid, rather, we are missing needed information that may not have been included in their schematics/our questions which is causing the rework to happen.

However, we are the service company, so we don't want to hand out forms for clients to fill out and we definitely don't want to come off as less-than-capable when asking for tons of extra information. We know it really depends on the customer as to how helpful they will be, however, because we are newer to the space, we are getting project request that we haven't done in the past that leave us with a lot of uncertainty.

If you, yourself, work for an engineering company or have experience with this, it would be AWESOME if you'd offer suggestions. Karma coming your way if you do!!

Again, during the RFQ /Proposal submission process, we are looking to close this information gap as much as possible so that we can work more efficiently and effectively, with less uncertainty.

    Thank you so much,

    Trevor

Another project is AI/Machine learning, whereby need the cameras to identify each type of product that is usually exiting the warehouse. What team do I need for this?

I'm in way above what I know, but I have the back up to do this project and before I start my research wanted to know what reddit has for me,

    Cheers!

Great team looking for a business partner in USA

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 11:33 AM PDT

Hi, I run an website and application development company based in India. It's a start up and I'm looking to serve clients from US as they would be good for my portfolio and our revenue. We cannot afford to pay a monthly compensation as of now yet so I'm looking for someone who can work with us on a commission basis. It'll be a good opportunity for everyone involved as the development costs are much less here and so the commissions for the partner would be good and the client would get a great value for his money. More than anything, we have a great team.

Please DM me if you're interested.

Payment Gateway Being in an Underdeveloped Country

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 02:31 AM PDT

Okay, so I'll try to make this as short as possible because I'm in a pitfall right now and I don't know where else to look other than asking my fellow Redditors.

Basically, I developed a website using Shopify using Dropshipping as my main business model which I do plan on expanding and go for Amazon FBA in the future once I have enough capital. However, now I'm stuck with Payment Gateways.

The offered Payment Gateways by Shopify for my country are very few, either the rest are not supported or the ones supported require a high volume of sales (which doesn't apply to me) or they don't support Dropshipping in general (I applied to every single one and got rejected even after having all tax papers and general paperwork).

Now, a way around which I could think of was to make an international bank account in maybe the U.K or U.S and use the Payment Gateways available for these countries and have the bank transfer the funds to my local bank account but I don't know if this is possible? Considering the fact that I cannot leave the country as of yet due to Covid.

I was wondering if anyone has any other solutions to this. I'll provide further details if necessary.

    Thank You for Your help!

Business Naming Woes. Help To Name It or Choose A Direction.

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 04:17 AM PDT

I am having a difficult time naming my business. Should I just pick a name that I don't like which fits the minimum requirements for naming a business, in which I can change later on, then spend my time working on the business itself or should I spend the extra time now choosing the best name? I don't have much of a budget for branding and naming right now and Fiverr hasn't been very helpful.

I want a name where we can expand and grow into other areas later on without being too restrictive. I know that if we wanted to expand, we could form a new business or create a DBA but that seems like unnecessary work. Thoughts? Suggestions would be helpful.

It is a leather business and right now we focus on making dog collars.

Anyone need help scouting a factory/product in China during the pandemic? Feel free to contact me!

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 03:06 AM PDT

Hi Reddit, As you may know, traveling right now is currently difficult for some people so it it may be hard to export some products without verifying a company. If anyone is looking for someone in China to check out a factory/factories product to confirm anything, feel free to contact me. I am currently in Guangdong near Shenzhen and Guangzhou, so traveling around here is not difficult as it is very close in proximity. I can also send a video of the whole experience or live chat with you the whole entire time to answer your questions. If there is any other place in China you would like me to travel to and check out for you, feel free to contact me as well. Also, if you need help sourcing a product, I can also find many products usually cheaper then Ali express because I can deal with the factories directly for you. Feel free to contact me on here or wechat Tony2o6 or on WhatsApp. Message me for my WhatsApp, thank you reddit!
