    Selling a business

    Posted: 03 Oct 2020 03:42 PM PDT

We often hear of businesses getting bought but how does this happen when an owner wants to sell. For instance I'm sure with company's like Instagram they are approached by company's like Facebook directly but when it comes to a family business or similar how does this actually happen. Does the company just hire a rep to approach its competitors and inquire if they would be interested in buying. Use a construction company for an example.

I have an idea i want to make a reality.

    Posted: 03 Oct 2020 03:37 PM PDT

Me and a friend one night were talking hypotheticals and somehow we got onto the topic of business. After four hours of being on the same pipe dream it started to sound "doable". I have done my research into tech startups and i have most of the kinks in the idea worked out but a few issues remain prevalent, one of them is funding.

If i were to go the route of crowdsourcing i would need a knowledge of sales, if any of you have any good places to learn more about the art of sales please link to it.

The next problem i would face is i need to learn how to build a website, both front end and back end. My skills with coding are lacking to say the least.

If any of you have any suggestions on what else i need to learn to bring my goal to fruition then please say it. Thank you

    Posted: 03 Oct 2020 01:49 PM PDT

Let's say hypothetically I'm a teen, and hypothetically I came up with a rough business idea that could match up and even surpass Amazon, something that would change thing on a worldwide scale. What and how could I do with this? I'm being serious and I need some advice on what to do?

Extremme Newbie, looking for advertising advice

    Posted: 03 Oct 2020 09:06 AM PDT

I'm a relatively young guy who started developing and selling software to people(Mostly on this site), and I'm wondering where else could I, or should I go to bring my skillset to other people. I've had a decent amount of luck drumming up work on here and I just got a friend involved so we could deliver final products asap. Thanks for your time.

    Pre-Quant

    Posted: 03 Oct 2020 12:26 PM PDT

How do I become a quant? What classes should I take? Do I need to build an understanding of coding languages (if so, which ones/how many)? How do I stand out to firms?

I'm currently still in high school, but I want to know what to prepare for in advance.

    What's a good foundational book?

    Posted: 03 Oct 2020 09:31 AM PDT

I'm an industrial engineering major, and want to get some more business knowledge to understand other parts of the company. When I look up business books, they're usually about start-ups, negotiation, and sometimes just mindset stuff. Where can I learn about the different facets of business from advertising to distribution, etc?

How does small medium shops add their inventory in the online delivery apps

    Posted: 03 Oct 2020 06:06 AM PDT

Hi, I have a question about any online delivery apps. When a shop gets onboard on the platform app, how does shop add their huge inventory to their system? I mean do they add those one by one manually or platform team set them up for them? Or do they have some another system that does that?

What is the difference between an outgoing and a cost?

    Posted: 03 Oct 2020 03:16 AM PDT

Sorry idk if this is the correct subreddit to ask but im doing a homework and its confusing me. There is a fruit vendor and it says the only outgoing is the purchase of fresh fruit but later in the text it says that his vending stall costs 1000 rupees a month- wouldn't this also be an outgoing? Could someone please explain the difference?
