I’m looking for blanks - Paying $15 Paypal for referral

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 09:48 AM PDT

Hey everybody, I'm looking for recommendations for high quality blanks.

I need a manufacturer who does both hoodies & sweatpants. They need to be identical thickness in material and cohesive in length of cuffs (ankle/wrist/waist).

Personally, i like the cuts of this Siberia Hills hoodie and for sweatpants, I like the cut of these ones by Off-White.

I am willing to send $15 through paypal - to whoever provides the best manufacturer for the products I need.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Moderators, please let me know if offering payment is not allowed, I'm mass posting this on multiple different subreddits so I haven't read all the rules for all of you. I apologise in advance and understand if my post is deleted or if I'm banned.

Hope everyone stays safe in these trying times!

Need advice on making a "local guide" tourism website/blog- not sure where to start.

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 07:09 AM PDT

Hi! I am going to start a website/blog that will be a "local guide" for a very specific tourism niche in my area. It will involve information about specific places to visit, local laws, interviews with business owners, tourism information.

I am SO confused on how to get this started. I have been perusing reddit all morning and I keep seeing suggestions on how to use keywords to get a website to show up on google- but what service should I use to ACTUALLY build my site? Wix? Wordpress? Something else?

I already have some content written in in Word and a clever name for blog/website but I'm stuck on how to make a website and actually laumch. I'm not trying to get rich from this but I would like to eventually make some passive income. I thought coming up with the idea for my blog would be the hard part- didn't realize how confusing it is to actually get started on a website. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Looking for assistance with Idea, have no problem sharing what it is.

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 11:32 AM PDT

So, I always wanted to get involved in the Cannabis industry, but after living in a cannabis legal state, and seeing the big time players, I've realized there really isn't any money in actually selling Cannabis.

So I've learned how to grow it, and I've designed a methodology to getting the best grow with the easiest amount of work. I'm thinking of selling this proprietary method in the form of an e-book, where the product i'm selling is the happiness you gain from enjoying cultivating your own cannabis.

Consider it a "How to grow weed and gain happiness with a new hobby for dummies"

    Is this a decent idea?

I will build you a custom Shopify webshop for free

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 01:41 PM PDT

Hello, my name is Steven, 16 y/o from the Netherlands and I'm a beginning web developer and marketer. I just started an agency that helps e-commerce brand with their digital presence. Before I reach out to companies and charge them anything I first want some good case studies.

Therefore I'm looking for businesses that would like to have a custom Shopify site built for them. You won't just get a basic shopify site, I will use my web development skills to really make your webshop stand out.

I also offer other services like social media management and Facebook ads. If you want help with these you can also hit me up. (For example I could manage your Instagram for 1 month or set up and manage your Facebook ad campaign for free)

As I said it's all free and there is no hidden catch or downside. I don't know if there is any interest in this but feel free to hit me up.

I have good ideas, but I want to be able to use skills to make them a reality. Not really a tech/coding/programming guy, but I’m good with business and marketing, and management.

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 09:48 AM PDT

I guess my question would be, how does an 18 year old still in high school take an idea, and be able to lead it to success while not being left behind in the dust because I'm not able to actually make it? Networking with coders and programmers? Getting investors to believe in me?

Skill Stack Needed to become an Entrepreneur

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 07:32 AM PDT

After reading about it in a book, I was wondering what skills are best needed to become an entrepreneur. Here was mine

    • Leadership
    • Finance
    • Marketing (Salesmanship)
    • Programming

It all depends based on what type of business you start (Leadership and Sales are pretty much needed though) Programming is useful for every business nowadays.

My list is more for a tech startup, but I was wondering what skills you people would think of?

    Thanks

Small business marketing price per month?

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 02:07 PM PDT

I am a restaurant owner who is looking for someone to handle all my social media (produce some content and run ads). I know I could do it myself, but I do not have the time. How much should I be expecting to spend per month on a marketing? Creators, how much are you charging?

Scam awareness: "Stolen images" emails to small business and e-commerce

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 01:52 PM PDT

    Hey y'all e-commerce entrepreneurs.

I wanted to let you all know I've been getting quite a few of these emails lately submitted through my Squarespace 'Contact Me' forms [do not click any links]

    Name: Mel Richardson

    Email: Mephotographer263@aol.com

Subject: You are not allowed to use my images for [domen] without my approval! It's illegally! It's a disruption to my rights! You must remove images right now!!!

    Message: Hello there!

This is Melina and I am a experienced photographer and illustrator.

I was confused, to put it nicely, when I came across my images at your website. If you use a copyrighted image without my permission, you must be aware that you could be sued by the copyright holder.

It's unlawful to use stolen images and it's so mean!

Take a look at this document with the links to my images you used at d------.com and my earlier publications to get evidence of my legal copyrights.

Download it now and check this out for yourself:

    https://sites.google.com/site/id938000214/googledrive/share/downloads/storage?FID=4421813775541

If you don't delete the images mentioned in the document above within the next few days, I'll write a complaint on you to your hosting provider stating that my copyrights have been infringed and I am trying to protect my intellectual property.

And if it doesn't work, you may be pretty damn sure I am going to report and sue you! And I will not bother myself to let you know of it in advance.

I've received maybe six of these emails over the past year. They've all basically been verbatim copies from different email addresses and names of "professional photographers'. I know that I have not been using stolen photographs because any stock photos I've had have been directly from Squarespace's free image library, or Canva's Pro image library, wherein licensing to the images is included.

The first time I got one, I clicked, but before I let the item load I X'd the window and immediately changed all my Google and Squarespace passwords to be safe.

Don't click and beware this new scam/phishing technique targeting small business owners.

Building a Siri-enabled financial app because I think voice will replace graphical, smartphone interfaces in the next 10 years

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 01:24 PM PDT

I think the key reasons why voice will win out are accessibility, versatility, and user empowerment.

Accessibility: Voice levels the tech-playing field, especially for older generations that aren't well equipped to run their lives on tiny screens and complicated app interfaces.

Versatility: As we continue building use cases around voice platforms, we enable a single point of interaction that can handle hundreds of problems for us.

Empowering: Voice assistants enable the Bruce Almighty experience - feeling back in control of technology instead of the other way around.

I think about a printer, which comes with refillable ink-containers and a subscription of ink for a decent price. The printer would make a profit itself and if the customers aren't satisfied, they can refill the ink somewhere else. Wouldn't be this a win-win?

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 06:35 AM PDT

I'm fed up of buying cheap printers and although I can buy some non-brand replacement tanks for a time, there comes this moment, when you want to print a plain b/w letter, the printer won't work, because you don't have magenta. The major companies stick to this idea, but wouldn't it be better to keep the customers satisfied, help the environment and although make money if you would make long-lasting, high quality printers worth their money which can be refilled with any decent ink?

    Experience with Alibaba Trade Assurance?

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 12:24 PM PDT

    Hey everyone.

I have recently have a shipment arrived severely damaged for an order placed through Alibaba.

The seller is arguing that the fault lies with the handlers/warehouse while the warehouse are claiming it was packing incorrectly for the cargo.

I inspected the shipment today and found obvious signs of a forklift fall, but also the crate was made of thin plywood with no securing braces or a solid pallet underneath. The machine is damaged beyond use with multiple impact damage and fluid leaks.

What are the chances of Alibaba refunding me?

    Is sub contracting morally wrong?

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 08:12 AM PDT

I was recently thinking of opening a handyman business. However I thought I could market myself out to handyman duties and then instead hire a third party to go out and carry out the job. For example, if he charges £150, but I charge the customer £200.

Surely both would be happy with this as an end result. Is this otherwise legal?

    Validating a business idea.

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 04:18 AM PDT

After having success with one of my businesses, a service that connects startups & businesses to investors . I have come to realize that I can make a similar product but in a different niche. However, I don't want to spend time developing something that people won't use which is why am writing this to know if you would use such a service so here it goes.

I want to build is a website that connects business owners of all kinds to newsletter owners, blog owners and influencers to promote your business.

The idea came to mind while I was trying to promote one of my products . While there are some few websites that already do this, I couldn't find a perfect one for newsletters and blogs.

Google ads and Facebook ads are great promotion tools but people hate ads. Having an influencer promote your product to a targeted audience can be have huge ROI .

I would like to hear your thoughts. Thanks.

Let the workers have full control?

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 11:40 AM PDT

there seems like there are too many things to know for a single person. Should I basically rely entirely (questions and strategy) on an accountant, consultant, mentor(that specializes in the industry), freelancers(marketer, ect)?

Is the idea of a business owner to try to make a team with an high level of accumulated expertise and knowledge, and let them do things on their own accord? I am suppose to be like the coach who sets it all up and I leave it up to the point guard and players perform? Once in a while I call for the team to re-strategize, and make tweaks.

I want to know more about best practices/how to approach wholesale production, how I find manufacturers, overall just how to start. If anyone has advice or a supplier they could recommend I'd truly appreciate it!

What should a deal with a reseller look like for a SaaS app?

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 10:42 AM PDT

I've developed a SaaS app and a person is interested in selling it.

If the app price is $15/user/month, how can I structure the deal with the reseller?

I am thinking 15% of the annual contract value, just for the first year.

Ex. If he sells 10 users, the deal is worth $150/month or $1,800/year. I would pay him 15%, one-time, of $1,800 which is $270.
