General psa: remember what you say

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 02:46 PM PDT

Just had a door to door salesman try to pitch me in pest control. In his short pitch he asked me 3 times how my day was going. The first time I reciprocated the question. He ended the convo by asking me the same question and when I didn't ask him anything else he awkwardly and rudely told me "my day is going fine, thanks for asking."

If there was a chance of me wanting his services he ruined it with his attitude at the end.

How do you map out your email sales templates (based on responses, etc.)

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 07:59 AM PDT

    Hi guys.

I have a small business and I am at a point where I have a ton of prospects that I've spoken with, conducted demos with, and need assistance with the follow ups, etc. I recently just hired a virtual assistant to assist with this process and it's been going well thus far, but I'm looking to make this process of managing the follow up emails more efficient.

Right now, I just have a single confluence page that has a bunch of emails and descriptions in there for when to use them, but I'm looking for a tool that I could use to help me like map the flow of emails, scenarios, and associate them with email templates.

For example, I like the way this looks (visually): https://www.klipfolio.com/sites/default/files/blog/ANSI-Workflow-Example.png. It would be great if I could find a service that's like this which would allow me to expand these blocks into actual bodies of text (so I can store email templates in them.

Any advice on how to efficiently organize a process like this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    original article: https://tractific.com/blog/two-types-of-users

When analyzing your data you have to take into account the country, device, OS, etc. But there is also something else that you have to think about: Type of user. In this article, we will explain the two types of users you have and how to take them into account.

    Two types of users

    1. New Users
    2. Power Users

Let's start with the new users.

How can I find people to make sales in European market for our $2M product?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 11:58 PM PDT

We sell an Identity & Access Management software to enterprise level companies. We have clients in US and east of Europe but we want to penetrate West & North Europe as well. What is the best way to start? Do you suggest working with distributor companies or single sales people in field?

Has anyone done any certifications in the field of sales? How was the experience and are they worth the money?

I am thinking of doing the Certified Professional Salesperson (CPSP) certification offered by the National Association of Sales Professionals (NASP)

Do let me know your thoughts fellow salesmen.

Help with Discovery question to ask to ecommerce brands

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 04:29 PM PDT

I'm trying to ask this following question, intended for b2b companies, to ecommerce companies which are b2c.

" What does your sales process look like? When a great lead comes in, who is taking that, and how long does it typically take to get from the initial discovery to them either becoming a client or choosing to go another route?"

Should I be asking about marketing funnels/systems?

Need a bit of advice and perspective from my fellow sales professionals.

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 08:07 PM PDT

I recently took on a full commission roofing sales job. After only a week on the job I'm a little annoyed. Training and communication has been awful. Half of my first day was training and that's about it. The rest have been promises to go do some training and my boss and division head have straight up ghosted me (like made plans in the morning several days in a row and when the time came for the training, they wouldn't pick up the phone). I'm a self starter (wouldn't be in sales if I wasn't) but there's so much stuff in this job that need to be experienced and talked about. I've been following around my colleagues and they pretty much all have the same complaints. Some appear to be doing fine but some are really struggling. To be fair, the company did triple it's Sales staff in like 2 months, so they're still probably trying to dial things in. I'm fairly confident in my ability to figure it out and do well as I have the hard skills - construction (4y) and most recently fundraising (3y) experience - but I'm having a hard time gauging how much of a red flag this is.

I was offered a different job (partial salary, partial commish) and I'm considering it. Their business appears to be set up better in a variety of ways but I don't like the idea of ditching a company after a week. I like the ceiling of earning opportunity my current position however having a partial salary is nice.

Am I overreacting? What am I missing in considering this? Any perspective would be helpful. I Guess my main question is how much of a red flag is bad training and communication?

Potential clients do not reply after filled my interest form

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 05:20 PM PDT

I am starting a tutor business. Recently 7 people filled in the interest form on my website. They are all teenagers. I replied each of them and ask them their current schools, GPA, etc. I did not mention any payment of my first email. 6 out of 7 did not reply. I knew that they read my email because I have an email tracker.

    What should I do?

Asked to create a 30/60/90 plan for an inside sales manager interview

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 05:12 PM PDT

Hello everyone! I have an interview for a big biomedical company in a few days. The hiring manager asked me to create a 30/60/90 plan consisting of what I need to learn to succeed during my first three months. I have never created one of these plans, but my research has returned some varying results, they're all over the place! I want to know what what suggestions you have for do's and don'ts for this plan. I want to make sure that this is done to the best of my ability because it'll hopefully be my first big career move.

For reference: I just graduated university, and have never worked such a role of management in inside sales before.

How would you structure these upsells?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 12:35 PM PDT

Have one of those mental blocks with this.

Maybe I just need to write this shit out and see it in black and white.

In which order would you structure these offers in an upsell chain?

    $99 analysis

    $299 hour coaching session

    $6999 on going coaching

Thinking; $299 OTO with $99 analysis as the downsell.

About to start selling medical insurance!

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 12:46 PM PDT

Just finished slogging through the course. I've worked in outside sales before but this seems like it will be a very different and professional environment. Is there any advice you can give me getting started? Or experiences you can share? Anything would be appreciated. It's a bit nerve wracking but I'm not too worried. I expect a slow start but am confident I'll pick it up.
