Posted: 26 Jun 2020 11:44 PM PDT So I'm hoping to start a record label and it's been pretty easy coming up with names for it, but the issue is the legal side of it and other companies with that name. There's a company that's named (as an example I'll use a random name) Flag Technologies, right? It's an IT solutions company and they have a sister company Flag Robotics. Now, I want to make a record label related to music, Flag Music Corporations. Am I able to do this? It's a whole different industry. [link] [comments] |
How do i report an ALL cash Investment coming into my company? Posted: 26 Jun 2020 11:30 PM PDT So i own a start-up company and we were looking to raise capital. We found 2 investors but they prefer to invest in all cash, about 30-40k in a single payment. I do not want to decline an investment. 1.) For something like this, what would i tell the bank and the IRS? Is this reported 2.) Will i get flagged even though it's categorized as an investment because its over 10k? 3.) Do i have to tell them who is investing? 4.) Are there any problems i will encounter? or can i go straight in and deposit this? [link] [comments] |

Calling all sales and marketing professionals! Crowdspark needs you. Posted: 26 Jun 2020 06:11 PM PDT Hello All, We have had a lot of specific requests for help with sales and marketing on r/Crowdspark. Some are looking for advice/answers to questions and there are some looking to hire a consultant/freelancer. If you get a chance I would encourage you to go check it out. If you have not heard of Crowdspark I've put a description below. If you have heard of us you can ignore below the line. Thanks! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The purpose of Crowdspark is to connect passionate entrepreneurs or founders with other passionate professionals across all disciplines to form long-lasting teams to actualize ideas. It is a place to ask questions, learn, get feedback, promote your project, and find co-founders or professionals with the skills you need to join your team. In short it is a place to pitch your ideas and garner support of The Crowd to make it happen. Crowdspark aims to address the needs of the fledgling entrepreneur with an idea and no idea how to start all the way up to well-formed startups looking for additional support. It also aims to be a place where a professional looking to joining something can browse projects to find something that interests them. Crowdspark started as a simple sub-reddit where people could pitch their ideas and meet others interested in helping. It quickly grew into a large network of professionals and became an incorporated organization with a development team working on creating a social media hub for entrepreneurs. The platform is currently in development and is scheduled to launch in late October 2020. If you are interested in learning more about the project please visit the project landing page at www.crowdspark.org. You can also sign-up for our mailing list to receive updates about our progress. Posted: 26 Jun 2020 04:52 PM PDT Our current situation really taught me a lot about running a business, it showed me that businesses really need to diversify revenue streams. If one tap is turned off it's incredibly important that one or more taps are still running. Before COVID, rather poorly on my part I only had one revenue stream which relied on my labour to generate money, now I have a semi-passive income; I say semi-passive as it requires a little bit of upkeep from me. I can safely take a holiday or sick day and still be earning, all be it less. In my opinion every business, no matter the size, in order to be successful; needs at least THREE streams of revenue.
