    Eidl portal is under development

    Posted: 02 May 2020 03:06 PM PDT

Ok so it took me 35 calls since 03/31 to find out today my loan amount on the phone with tier 2 and he told me that the reason he can't send the portal is because they are working on new portal, that's why it's delayed last week or so. Hope that's a good sign for all of us!

    EIDL loan, new mailing list

    Posted: 03 May 2020 01:49 AM PDT

It seems they have created new mailing list and dumped all email IDs in there. The list is called EIDL applicants 5/1/20. The old lists EIDL full lists 1,2,3 still exist. The message received today went to old lists. I know this because I have two applications under two email IDs both in different lists and there was a time lag in both emails.

I suspect in future SBA is expecting to send different message for applications filed before 1st May and after.

One might ask whether I have nothing better to do and you will be absolutely right. There is nothing else to do other than mindless speculation.

Best Way To Hit 100% PPP Forgiveness?

    Posted: 02 May 2020 08:08 AM PDT

I have a $13k S-Corp Loan with 1 employee. Which option would be safest?

    1. Break that $13k into 8 payroll payments of $1625 (Would indicate a pay raise)
    2. Use 75% of the $13k as payroll ($9750) and the rest use as a bonus of $3250

[Question]International seller, US Customs and Duties?

    Posted: 03 May 2020 02:20 AM PDT

    Hi Everyone,

Question on custom duties and fees. I am an Australian seller, opening my online business to USA.

What sort of Custom duties and fees am I expecting for my USA customers? Items are around 30-60$. multiple purchases expected.

I've read that anything imported to a customer <800 USD will not be subject to custom and import fees. Is this true?

What's the process for purchases above 800?, what are my obligations as the business? I would like to have a FAQ section which explains this process. Any good articles which explains a step by step process?

SBA Letter Establishing Verification Process and Fraud Check Indicators

    Posted: 02 May 2020 10:49 AM PDT

Just found this on Twitter. I can't verify if it's legit, but it appears so. Perhaps this is an insight to black hole apps?

    Reposted on imgur. SBA Letter

    twitter

    Thoughts?

Edit 1: So it appears this is from court dockets of the LIT Ventures, LLC vs SBA Case (Court Docket Case 2:20-cv-00706), original docket here

The letter with the verification/fraud info appears to be the SBA's response to the Motion for Writ of Mandamus, but I've hit a paywall trying to find the full docket of their response.

This is apparently one of many lawsuits currently in the works against the SBA, Jovita, et al.

Edit 2: Found the SBA Reply to this case: here and the plaintiff's reply here.

Edit 3: Plaintiff's legal counsel has everything in a dropbox here and here is the SBA exhibits containing the Letter -- it's legit.

    Bluevine Survey in my email

    Posted: 02 May 2020 04:00 PM PDT

I think BlueVine is trying to cull their applications because I got a survey in my email asking if I was still interested. The questions were asking if I had received a loan from anyone else or applied anywhere else or if I had only applied to BV. I think they are trying to prioritize the applicants that have only applied to BV and then move on to others. I assume they are wasting a lot of time on applications that can't go anywhere.

Starting an MSP (Managed Service Provider) advice on finding clients and how to initiate.

    Posted: 03 May 2020 01:21 AM PDT

Myself and a friend are in the pre pre alpha stages of starting a MSP, more so at the conceptual level. We believe we've got the technical skills required to service SMBs tier clients and would like to give this a run. We'd be targeting local businesses, primarily those transitioning to a WFH setup, and eventually back to local/hybrid. We imagine ourselves coming in as an affordable, local alternative to bigger names with the ability to devote ourselves to a couple of clients. We're completely green to business and management so much of our work right now is researching where to start.

My question for all of you is how do did you begin? What're some pitfalls to be aware of? How do you go about researching potential clients? How do you present yourself having never actually landed a client. Any advise is appreciated, thanks for reading!

So if i had prior utility bill and rent I cannot use it for past debt, I can only use it for the future eights weeks since the day I get the loan?

Ready Capital / Lendio cutting it close! Still no docs!

    Posted: 02 May 2020 04:52 PM PDT

I just can not believe they can justify stringing us along! No docs, can't apply elsewhere! I checked the SBA site it still shows approved not funded. May 8th is the last day that they must have all loans funded. Telling me it's first come basis and my app-113xxxxx. I have seen people on here with 114xxxx. And 115xxxxx already funded. The stress is just too much. I do not know what to do! I can't make plans to get my staff back if I don't have money to pay them. I guess plan on re-opening on the 11th? What do guys think? If I plan on re-opening on the 11th that means I would have funding. Just too many ifs! Everyday I have this sickness come over me, and it's not the virus. It's the stress of not knowing! Approved on the 15th of April. No docs or emails except the generic we are working as fast as possible. The lady that called me back and said me calling does not help. I told her we have 7 days according to SBA. She tried to tell me no that they got an extension. I said yeah until the 8th!

Sole Prop paying self with PPP

    Posted: 02 May 2020 04:01 PM PDT

    Morning fellas,

Sole Prop and was approved for PPP ($20kish). I want to use that solely for payrol (myself).

The money was deposited into my personal savings account.

What is the paper trail I need to have to forgive the entire loan?

I was thinking I would transfer PPP money into my business account and then just "pay" myself the full amount. I would then transfer that money back into my savings.

    Fair?

Or could I just leave it in my savings and just claim I paid myself?

    Advice would be appreciated.

Finally approved for PPP via BOA for and reached the promissory note step. Are there additional steps, or now do I just wait for the funds to hit?

    Posted: 02 May 2020 03:53 PM PDT

Thank you r/SmallBusiness for all these informative threads over the past month, it's been a crazy rollercoaster, but this sub has been so helpful.

4/3 - Applied for PPP via BOA

4/15 - Got an email saying I was missing paperwork

4/24 - Got an email saying my application was complete and that it would be sent to SBA on 4/28

5/1 - Got an email saying I was assigned an SBA #

5/1 - Got the promissory note email and signed it

It that it for now? People here who got their PPP funded via BOA, were there any additional steps?

    Posted: 02 May 2020 06:02 PM PDT

For those that applied for the EIDL late in the first week of April, and know how to check your subscriber preferences on the SBA email, our second business EIDL app finally update to "Applicants 5/1/20".

If you do not already know how to check the SBA subscriptions, click on any SBA generic email and scroll to the bottom, click subscriber preferences and then enter the email address you used on your EIDL application. It will list the categories you are subscribed to.

PPP approved asking for Additional documents.

    Posted: 02 May 2020 11:36 PM PDT

After getting approved for your ppp were you asked for additional documents? They are requesting an invoice, book of records, or bank statement. I had a really low beginning of the year. It usually its very slow for my line of business up until march. I do have a few contracts that I signed from my clients, I usually don't send out and invoice I'm just paid whatever the contract indicates, sometimes the contract doesn't state my rate. All these contracts got canceled because of Covid-19. Wonder what should I do.
