Do different management styles affect business culture?

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 01:13 AM PDT

My teacher told me I was wrong for using certain management models to theorise their impact on business culture. I disagree, I think X-Y styles of management have big impacts on the culture of business.

Hi, I'm a college student who is majoring in Business Administration. I would like to pursue a career in business, and I think it's important for me to learn about all the soft skills or personality qualities that someone who aspires to work in any business related field needs to have and how to achieve them.

    Partnering LLC with bank

    Posted: 29 Mar 2020 11:47 AM PDT

Hey guys, hope everyone is healthy and staying safe! With interest rates at an all time low and foreclosures right around the corner, my financial analyst believes now would be a good time to form an LLC and begin acquiring real estate. In order to do this I would like to reach out to banks to form a partnership with my LLC so we can start a mutually beneficial agreement. I personally have poor credit and not a lot of capital so having a bank willing to work with my company could make or brake me. I'd like to know how I could go about forming this relationship, who I'd need to reach out to, etc. Thanks guys and take care

Forming a LLC for my podcast

    Posted: 29 Mar 2020 01:23 PM PDT

    Hey guys,

I'm a podcast producer that accepts a range of submissions. Essentially, I can do anything from sound engineering, script writing, and podcast brainstorming. I've gotten a lot of gigs from this and am now a senior producer with over two years of experience.

However, this is mainly a side gig for me (I'm a journalist as my day job.) I've been considering forming an LLC for my podcast gigs both to separate my audio from my written portfolio and also to limit my liability.

Do you think this is advisable / do you have any advice for me? Thanks!

Need advice on finding a legitimate business partner

    Posted: 29 Mar 2020 07:10 AM PDT

I am getting ready to launch a business in April giving away free home based and online business courses, then up selling coaching, mentoring, and making money through relevant affiliate links in the courses.

The first 6 weeks of blogs, podcasts, and Instagram posts are ready to go to start marketing.

I am interested in focusing on the content and creating more courses, the financials, and the customer service.

Want to find someone to partner with in my business to handle the backend stuff like social media, YouTube, email campaigns, researching and finding new relevant affiliate programs, posting blogs including layout etc, and some light SEO for post descriptions and the such.

This partner will get a percentage of the business and profits, and invest a little bit upfront for things like a dedicated phone, email account, and maybe some marketing.

Can anyone tell me the best place to find someone to partner with?

If this is you, please PM me.

    Thanks, John

    Can I create demand?

    Posted: 29 Mar 2020 07:03 AM PDT

Hey guys I have an awesome prouct idea but after some research I found out that there is no much demand for it because (in my opinion) noone knows about it. My idea was to advertise to my demoghraphic to let them know and somehow create demand for that product? What do you think?Maybe someone has done the same and can tell me if it could work :)

Effects / risks of a small business owner claiming partial unemployment with stimulus bill signed yesterday?

    Posted: 29 Mar 2020 10:44 AM PDT

    Hi all,

Small business owner here of an S Corporation. Yearly salary paid as an employee with remainder of income as 'pass through' income through the corp.

Have seen a dramatic drop off of business due to Covid 19 and am guessing I am actually eligible for partial unemployment due to the stimulus bill yesterday where as I otherwise wouldn't be

What are the risks of claiming unemployment against your own company? Anything I should be aware of?

Social media presence. Should I hire another company to do it?

    Posted: 29 Mar 2020 07:18 AM PDT

My company operates in the industry as an electrical panel manufacturer and have a total of 5 employees.

I'm well versed in design, so I always did the e-mail marketing and stuff. The thing is: I feel that's consuming too much of my time.

I'm constantly thinking in new ways to advertise my services but thats not my expertise.

I feel that I should start a Instagram/Facebook page but I don't know if it would be worth it.

    What payment to ask for?

    Posted: 29 Mar 2020 02:33 AM PDT

    Hello everyone.

I hope some of you will be able to give me some enlightenment.

    The situation is as follows:

I had an idea, I wanted to import something that I saw as necessary in my country. Since I knew the suppliers from before, and the prices they could offer I knew this would also succeed (well, I hoped it would).

I found a man who has the company with the right legal permission to import the stuff and the capital to cover it all since I don't, and he also knows the people who will be buying the stuff.

So he has me 3 to 1... even a bit more considering the capital to be invested. It was my idea, and I know I am irreplaceable for this business, and it will be quite big and profitable.

So what kind of payment can I demand? A percentage of the profit + fixed price seemed reasonable to me, but I had no prior experience in this.
