Sneezis and Fapgod: When Two Titans Meet Posted: 04 Mar 2020 06:53 PM PST It was a warm summer afternoon, Sneezis was taking his weekly Sunday walk, planning out his upcoming work week while something caught his eye. He walked over to a peculiar figure hunched over, right next to a bench. "Hey, you okay there bud?" Sneezis asked. "No, I just found out all the hot female interns think I'm a degenerate." Sighed the odd stranger. Sneezis felt a pang of remorse for the young man, remembering his fond times doing rails of coke during his internship with PriceDel Young. "Mind if I take a seat?" Sneezis motioned at the bench. The stranger had his head buried in his chest, but Sneezis could make out the motions of a nod. "So..." Sneezis began, as he took his seat. "What's your name? I'm Sneezis." "Fapgod...." He mumbled. "Interesting name. I understand where you're coming from Fapgod. It may suck now that you arent getting any of that intern game but dont let that get you down. You are a god damn, mother fucking Accountant. You dont make sweet love to random woman, you make love to some god damn sexy ass workpapers. You have to go into the office on Sunday and whip your dick out on your desk and shout out everyone that's shits gonna get done because you're there." Fapgod lifted his head and looked up at Sneezis, noting Sneezis's all encompassing presence. "But I'm not good enough Sneezis, I'm just a NEET who no one will love, there's nothing for me in this world except for Anime and shitposting on reddit." Sneezis stood up, "Fapgod, two things. One, dont ever put yourself down for shitposting, it's the most noble hobby one can have. Two, I can see how much potential you have tucked away inside. You can become the greatest god damn accountant that ever lived, even greater than an old man such as myself." Proclaimed the 32 year old. Fapgod's anxiety and worry started to melt away the more Sneezis spoke. Fapgod stood up on the bench to meet Sneezis's eyes, "Thank you Sneezis, I will go into work tomorrow and I will fuck those spreadsheets." Sneezis looked at the young man and could only smile, another budding accountant saved by the greatest bean counter to have ever lived. [link] [comments]
To people who work more then 80 hours in a week - fucking why? Posted: 04 Mar 2020 05:13 AM PST So I recently was able to land a part time job at a CPA firm while in college, and I'm fully prepared to work some long days and for my training to be a little hectic since I'm starting during busy season. However, if I was ever asked to work more then 14 hours in a single day, I'd quit instantly. That's fucking insane. And yet I see people here routinely say they've worked 90 or even 100 hours a week, and I honestly don't fucking get it. Why the hell would you ever work more then 80 hours in a single week? And honestly 80 is even pushing it, but seeing as how busy season goes, I can at least understand that, but anything more is ridiculous. The fact that those comments are upvoted and seen as normal is honestly ridiculous to me too. You're literally increasing your risk for anxiety, panic attacks, and even heart attacks by doing that. Posted: 04 Mar 2020 08:32 PM PST I've never been a smart person and truly up until this point I've been winging it in college and using Chegg and Quizlet throughout. But now I'm in my last two semesters in university, getting the good stuff. And I'm getting my ass kicked so bad it's not even funny. I really fucked up by being lazy in my 22 years of living. At the very least I have some confidence for my IA II class. I have a 73. I got a 65 on the first exam, and that's because my dumbass studied the calculations more than I did the theory. I did the problems from my exam review, and the past three Wiley homework over and over and over again until they became a reflex. When I got the exams I did those first and I've no doubt I got most of them right. But everything having to do with theory, I studied ZERO for thinking it wasn't gonna take up much of the exam. But it took about half and I practically guessed in most of them. Hence a 65. I honestly think a B+-A would've been attainable on my part had I studied the theory. Now I know next time. IA II seems pretty straightforward in general and pretty easy. Right now we're already going through the new chapters for the next exam and it seems even easier. But Jesus, Advanced Managerial accounting I have no idea what the fuck is going one. It's EXTREMELY overwhelming and confusing. It's truly another language to me. I know zero about what I'm seeing on the board. I guess 100% of the exam and it's truly a miracle I somehow got a 35. Class average was a 65.... I wish I could ask you all question about how I can improve in advanced managerial, but everything about it is so foreign to me that I wouldn't know what to ask. I guess it just felt like getting this out my chest. I'm not sure what to do and I'm scared. I may have the drop and I hate to do so cause I'm relying on my parents money with zero help from Fasfa. Posted: 04 Mar 2020 04:40 PM PST basically title. earlier in the year we had a volleyball event that was not work related that was on a saturday. then we had a volunteer event on another sunday at a soup kitchen. Then we had yoga sessions that was on a random work day. i don't think i'm an antisocial person but holy hell i dont want to spend more time with my coworkers nor do i plan to stay at the firm longer than making senior, then i plan to run for the hills to industry. I don't hate my co workers either, many are awesome and everyone gets along great in my department. but i wouldnt attend things that i wouldnt do with my own friends. is this ok? does anyone else skip out on these? some of my managers and seniors skip thesebut its more like 70%yes/30%no. Trying to understand LLC taxes Posted: 04 Mar 2020 07:24 PM PST My girlfriend has an LLC She grossed 165K After paying people 112k Our new accountant is saying her net is $1100 If our expenses are 53k which gets us to the 112k where is the $110,900 in income This is a problem for us because we want to buy a house, this a problem even for renting an apartment to have income this low. We explained this when we first went to him he clearly forgot but either way we're not understanding where all that income disappears to. We don't want any reason to be audited so that's just strange to us. [link] [comments]
