Advice for applying for a bank loan?

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 06:12 PM PST

I own a small company that has revenue around 100k a year. There is someone selling a business that I could integrate into mine that would increase revenue by 50k-75k a year. This is a separate, but related product. They are selling it for 100k which includes about 160k of assets. I would need a bank loan to purchase it, but I have never taken on a business loan before so I am looking for any advice on the best way to approach my bank with this proposal. How formal do I need to be with it? Should I just present the numbers and hope they see it the way I do? Thank you for any advice!

I FEEL THREATENED BY MY BUSINESS PARTNER FOR NO REASON

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 10:57 AM PST

I'm feeling threatened by my potential business partner. We are a video production business. My main goal is to be a filmer/editor. He has bought most of the equipment but I have done all of the marketing and advertising thus far. He wants to learn editing. I keep telling him that I want to be the main editor he says that's fine but "he wants to be able to edit sometimes if he wants to record a family get together or something". It's taken me years to learn my valuable editing skills on Premiere Pro. I consider myself an experienced editor and he has never even opened the program. I want him to focus on filming, am I being too unreasonable? Only one person can edit a project at a time anyway. He thinks we should both be diverse with editing and filming. I'd rather him be a filmer and just let me edit.
