Posted: 05 Oct 2019 09:27 PM PDT I came to the question, how much ROI is typical for such and such kiosks. Her estimate was about 10% across the board. I thought this to be low. It's basically the equivalent to a decent year on the stock market. This lead me to believe that it would not be a good business decision. Is there anything she potentially didn't tell me, or that I'm misunderstanding? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Oct 2019 06:36 PM PDT I know this is a bit of a vague question but how many times more can you sell a business for than it's earnings? (On average) [link] [comments] |

California S-Corp, How do I get paid? Posted: 05 Oct 2019 09:33 AM PDT Hello, I recently moved to California to work 1099 as a health care provider. In California, I am required to run my business as an S-Corp. I can not do an LLC, because I am a licensed professional. I expect in 12 months my company to bring in between 200,000 and 250,000. For my S-Corp, I am the CEO, president, 100% shareholder, and only employee. I have started working and collecting checks, which are just sitting in my business checking account until I understand how to get that money into my personal account correctly. I understand that the two ways I can get money out of the S-corp are from paying myself a "reasonable compensation" through wages, which will be subject to federal medicare and federal social security tax both from my w2 paycheck and also from my S-corp's assets. In addition to wages, I may, from time to time, pay myself distributions, which will NOT be subject to federal medicare and social security taxes, but WILL be subject to federal and state income taxes. The IRS has said that S-Corps have to run payroll. And it sounds like if you take a super low salary, and pay yourself huge distributions to skirt Social Security and medicare taxes you may find yourself in an audit for not paying a "reasonable compensation." So I think I understand all of that. What I get confused by is the actual act of getting to my money. If I subscribe to a payroll service and punch in the salary I want to pay myself, will it calculate the tax withholdings? Then what? Do I simply move the money from one bank account to the other myself? Does the payroll service actually move money around? Who sends a check to the IRS / State for tax witholdings, myself, or the payroll service? Do I need to give the payroll service access to my bank account, and authority to move money around (scary)? I've spoken on the phone with a CPA, but he was more focused on tax minimization, and I didn't really come away with a clear understanding of HOW I actually go about paying myself. I'd prefer to take care of this myself, to avoid any potential unscrupulous payroll activity, and also to have a solid understanding of what is coming in to my business, what's going out of it, and where its going. I've searched around, and I always wind up on threads where the conversation devolves into whether S-Corp is worth it vs LLC, but I don't have a choice. I have to be an S-Corp because California. What's Best Way to Create Lead Database? Posted: 05 Oct 2019 07:58 AM PDT Hi, I don't want to invest the time or money right now in setting up a CRM but have Excell. Is this a good way to start building up a DB of customers to later put in a CRM? Easy to import? Is it easy to export from one CRM to another? I know could set up a paper system but I'm looking to save work later because I know CRMs are great sales tools. Any thought will be helpful- thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Oct 2019 06:20 PM PDT digital collateralization technology such as mobile phone locking technology. These collateralization methods deterministically reduce the risk of default while making the risk to the lender transparent and easily quantified for lenders bidding on the digital bond. All institutional borrowers and their business customers will be scored using our digital credit scoring algorithms. These scores are generated using our white or grey label consumer-facing mobile application. Our mobile application allows Microfinance Institutions and tokenized funds to serve their customers easily and extend Pngme's digital credit scoring models to their end users. The originated loans are then packaged as digital bonds with risk metadata appended and sold to investors (lenders) on our lending marketplace using decentralized rate setting. The result of this innovation is a highly liquid lending marketplace that connects lenders to a new asset class with a range of risk profiles and varying yields while lowering the downstream cost of credit for both MFIs and Mobile Money Networks and therefore their MSME customers. #Pngme #Pngcoin #PNG #Payments #Blockchain #Crypto #MSME #BTC #fintech #mobilebanking #Banking [link] [comments] |
Need help with my small business Posted: 05 Oct 2019 03:47 PM PDT So I run a services company, we have a nearshore office in Mexico City, Mexico. We made almost 400k in profit this year. My dad recently found a place that we can purchase. Buying that land and furnishing a small campus there is no brainer since I have family there and my dad has construction business there. it will tremendously help to have a custom-built office to attract top talent. I am renting my current office in Mexico City and would like to buy an office building in Mexico from the 400k profits. So my question is regarding tax implications. I do have a CPA but I want to run it with you guys before proposing this to him. Is it legal? Spending that 400k on that office will make my profits to 0 and remove any tax liability for this year. Is it normal in the business world? Or am I thinking too crazy? [link] [comments] |

Building a model/actor booking website where it doesn't exist in this region. Need advice Posted: 05 Oct 2019 01:53 PM PDT Let me start by saying there are no casting or booking agencies/websites or anything related to those in the region that I'm starting this website for. Hi, I work in the production industry and I saw a clear unanswered demand for hiring actors in an efficient way. I'm in a third world country which still goes by the traditional methods of being lucky and finding the actors at random encounters or based on a private list that contains previously registered actors. I plan to build a website for the models and clients to search featured models. A standard model booking website basically. Now what I'm gaining a difficult time deciding are profit and responsibility: Profit: - Models will have to pay a small fee to sign-up and feature their portfolio on the website. - Once a model/actor is chosen we'll get %5 commission on the work Responsibility: (the first point below led me to come up with the two below it.) - I'm gonna risk sounding clueless but how can I abide them to giving the %5 commision? Cyber laws are not that developed in this region. They can find the model through the website but nothing can stop them from making a deal with the model and denying any work was done. Or make them deny the website's association with reaching the model at all. Some digital messages might not be enough for a court in this region. - Since the website is going to be the middleman between the clients and the models I believe that we should supply the actors/models with the contracts that would bide them with the requested work by the client. This way we can advertise that we're having the models back and nothing sketchy can happen until the work is finished. - someone from the website (our company/brand/agency) should attend the commissioned work to oversee the whole matter in case a problems happen and things escalate to court. Then we'd have our own witness to defend or condemn the parties. The five points above are where I'm having second thoughts. What do you think? [link] [comments] |
Best places to promote CBD brand clients? Posted: 05 Oct 2019 08:28 AM PDT We just started working with two cbd brands (yea!) but we are aware of the challenges helping them get the word out online (ugh). Beyond the obvious stuff like curating a safe social feed of lifestyle content and helping them create good stories for their site and blogs what services should I be looking at for amplification or straight up advertising? Goog and FB don't allow much if any for this category. Thanks for pointers! [link] [comments] |
Time to focus on business page... Now what? Posted: 05 Oct 2019 07:14 AM PDT So I started an interior/exterior professional painting business in July. Using scan guns to track office supplies. Posted: 05 Oct 2019 10:01 AM PDT Does anyone have any experience with this? And if so, could provide some input? 19 I started a limited company but need to close it Posted: 05 Oct 2019 06:57 AM PDT Edit: Forgot to add I am in the UK Hello, I've come here as I am worried and in need of help on what I need to do to close my business and how to do my taxes for the year? I started a limited business this year in January in hopes to actually get it off the ground. I lost motivation after a few months and other various life issues but it's come to my attention I need to close it down. I got a Santander business account all ready for it but I have never done any business. I have never put any money into the account or spend any on the account. Essentially I don't know what I need to do to close the business and what to do in terms of taxes even though I have had no accounts, spend or income. I really don't have money for an accountant right now and I am worrying about this, I just want to get the business all closed for good. What are the stages? do I go close the bank first? or print all of my bank statements for the account so far showing no money going in or out? any advice is really appreciated as it is starting to stress me. Posted: 05 Oct 2019 06:21 AM PDT Give or take. I'm hoping to take a leather jewelry and purse making hobby to craft shows and Etsy or the like for some supplemental income. I drive tractor trailer for a living and spend a lot of my down time crafting, but I'm home on weekends and we slow down a bit in the winter. I'm mostly not sure if I need to file local permits where I reside. I don't plan on using it at a business address, as I have a mail forwarding service because they will hold packages and mail while I'm away and the post office doesn't. I also don't do much crafting during my weekend home time, there are usually other things to be done such as spending time with family, laundry, shopping, etc. I still do some things though on occasion if I'm feeling particularly inspired. I stitch by hand in the truck or use my fathers upholstery machines at his place of business if I have a larger purse or bag I want to make so the majority of the 'meat' of the work is done outside of the home. Has anyone done anything similar, operating a home based business, away from home? [link] [comments] |
