Posted: 03 Oct 2019 11:30 AM PDT I apologize if this is not where I should be posting this but I have almost fell victim of a huge scam, regarding a Finance graduate program in the UK. I have received a few e-mails in my junk folder, regarding an opportunity for a graduate program. They have scheduled a phone interview with me (which was 1 hour ago) and gave me some brief details. The guy on the phone "quickly proceeded" with my application and after putting me on hold for like 10-20 minutes, they have e-mailed me the "good news" regarding my acceptance to the program! I just needed to pay a fee of 300 pounds remaining from a great sponsorship I got for a qualification which I was missing. Wow what a great deal! Then they've asked me for my bank details and stupid me, I gave them. (I was desperate to enter such a program, feel free to bash me). Luckily though, I have just left the UK and withdrew all my money from my UK account, whilst being in the process of closing down my bank account. So no money was lost. I performed a background check on that company, their e-mails, phone numbers etc. and found out that they are just plain scammers. Please be aware, they usually target young individuals (18-24) who are desperately looking for some good graduate programs/vacancies. Don't fall victims to those incompetent assholes. I can provide e-mails/websites/phone numbers if I'm allowed but for now I decided not to. [link] [comments]  | ||
