Software Salespeople: Do you ever get objections that the employees won’t use it? Posted: 25 Aug 2019 05:47 AM PDT Having worked in a lot of different institutions with a lot of different software, I was wondering if this objection came up a lot? I've always had fellow employees unwilling to use the CRM or other software and I could see decision makers being worried about spending money on new software if the last purchase was poorly implemented. A highly underrated sales industry some of you would excel in Posted: 25 Aug 2019 09:52 AM PDT I have recently began working in the food distributor world. They start you off with some rinky dink accounts and you are subsidized until you are full commission. Thing is, the people want the product and want it at a good price. It is easy to close accounts. Most reps are about 50-80k, with the best reps pulling in over 200k. These reps are not even the best salespeople, they have just been around for 15 years and have 40 accounts most which are doing 2 orders a week. If you can get some restaurants that can open multiple locations, it is just icing on the cake Anyways I always see every1 champion saas but food service reps are forgotten Check it out if you have a food background! want to get out of pharma. end goal is saas not sure what path to take. help! Posted: 25 Aug 2019 04:39 AM PDT have about 1.5 years experience in pharma, also have several years experience working as a photo lab tech and a sales assistant at a pharmacy during uni. have a business degree i've been thinking about applying for ricoh/xerox as i've heard copier sales can be a good resume builder (unlike pharma) and could put me on a good path to saas sales. was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions also, is it worth getting tech certifications if i plan to breaking into saas? How to reach the right people? Posted: 25 Aug 2019 11:40 AM PDT Firstly, this sub reddit is filled with so much useful advice, great stories, etc. so thank you to everyone who devotes time here to help us out. I just started a new job with a media/marketing agency in NYC. We do work with some well known reality stars and have an idea that we would like to pitch to some of the biggest dating apps. My question is, how do I reach the right people in these organizations? LinkedIn? And how should I draft a intro email to not take up too much time, but still get my point across? Thanks everyone [link] [comments] |
Going For Promotion. Help Please. Posted: 25 Aug 2019 09:45 AM PDT I have an interview on Wednesday for a promotion to a National Account Executive role. Currently I am working within a regional site level account role. My company is one of the largest Frozen Bakery supplier in the world. This role would involve looking after one Retailer in the UK that has circa 25 locations. I've been asked to deliver a presentation on the following. As the new NAE you have inherited xxx Retail National Account which delivered £450,000 Invoiced Sales revenue in FY19 & had an NOBC of 16 . The Account has 24 stores in total. In FY20 the account is currently trading 22% behind LY on IS Revenue and you have 8 less NOBC within this group compared to LY. It is essential as a business we hit the FY20 Revenue budget which is +12.5% on LY and grow our NOBC. The new Buyer is not an advocate of our company due to a past experience in a previous buying role……. Please present your plans on what you would do to overcome these situations in the short and medium term to ensure you EXCEED the Revenue and NOBC KPI. NOBC = Number of buying customers Any help this sub could give me would be a massive help. [link] [comments] |
What are some good methods of getting past Gatekeepers? Posted: 25 Aug 2019 08:17 AM PDT I'm new to Sales and my first assignment this month is getting in contact with business owners within the construction industry. However 90% of my calls are going to a Gatekeeper. I keep getting the usual; Not in the office, don't know when his back. His not interested What methods do you use? I've been told not to email people as my boss says it doesn't work however I can still pursue that avenue if I wanted too. Any tips? [link] [comments] |
I need help with handling objections on the location I sell our AD space on! Posted: 25 Aug 2019 03:19 AM PDT Hi guys, long time lurker! I sell ad space for digital screens at gas stations and the #1 objection I get is that they do not want to associate their product with a gas station (Hotels are understandable as they have international guidelines) . I know there is no one magical solution to this but I was wondering if anyone has experienced this or can point me in the right direction. Thank you! [link] [comments] |
Account Manager Beverage company Posted: 24 Aug 2019 07:18 PM PDT Recently became a account manager for one of the biggest beverage companies in the world. Just wanting some advice on how to increase sales for my accounts? I can only order so much product without pissing off the owner/managers. I feel like I don't have much control on sales with each account it falls down on how much the store or business sales. My manager expects 10% increases on some accounts but if I over order it hurts my relationship with the account. Any advice on how to increase case count on my accounts without hurting my relationship with owners/managers? [link] [comments] |
How do you “sell yourself” on the product Posted: 24 Aug 2019 03:51 PM PDT Hey Guys, I work for a solid company with a great product/market fit. However, I am unfamiliar with the industry and persona that I'm selling in to. I noticed that I am incredibly good at persuading people on ideas/positions that I BELEIVE in/passionate. I believe that if I'm somehow able to develop a similar passion for my product, that I will be a killer. How do you guys effectively "drink the kool-aid" and "sell yourself" on your own product? Do some of you veterans have a process for doing this? Let me know. [link] [comments] |
What’s the best way to find a SaaS job? Posted: 24 Aug 2019 12:52 PM PDT Been in software sales for 5 years now and only switched companies once. It was a referral from a friend so I've never really had to go and "look" for an opportunity. I'm about to start job searching pretty heavy. What's the best way to find a job in the SaaS sales world? I've heard LinkedIn is extremely useful. Is it best to hit up a sales manager from a company and establish a relationship or just apply to a ton of different companies and throw your resume around until one sticks? Open to any suggestions and the best practices for today in today's job market. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Video message software for sales Posted: 24 Aug 2019 12:53 PM PDT Hey, Looking to try something new. I want to send a video message in my emails, but unsure if there is software specifically for that or if people just do the below. I've spoken to a few people who do it but they don't use any sort of software - they just use their phone and upload it straight to an email. [link] [comments] |
Does anyone have any tips on self generated prospects/leads? Posted: 24 Aug 2019 02:53 PM PDT I'm have an interview with Tegna on Tuesday. They're looking for a "hunter" (their words) to sell over the top advertising. I'd like to walk in with a list of prospects I've self generated, but I'm having trouble narrowing down their target marketing. From the one informal interview I had, I get the impression they want me to target local businesses. Does anyone have any tips on the type of industries I should target and generate a list of prospects? As of right now, I can immediately think of local car dealerships and all the politicians getting ready to launch their political campaigns. [link] [comments] |
Got a verbal commit, but they won't send in the new client form. Posted: 24 Aug 2019 03:28 PM PDT I got a verbal "yes" eight days ago. But they have not sent me their new client application. I've followed up with an email and two texts to check in. How do I close this without feeling like a stalker? [link] [comments] |
