Global revenues from esports, or professional video game competitions, will hit $1.1 billion in 2019, up 27 percent since last year, thanks to ballooning revenues from advertising, sponsorship and media rights, according to a report released earlier this year.

Launched in 2017, Fortnite's popularity has helped Epic Games reach a $15-billion-valuation last year. It competes with other games like Electronic Arts Inc's Apex Legends and Tencent Holdings' PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.

Overall, the global video and electronic games market, excluding revenues from esports, will generate $152.1 billion in 2019, up 9.6% over last year, according to a report by gaming analytics firm Newzoo.

$PTAM was uncovered that they are entering Cannabis sector with a merger or acquisition (Report this morning).

    Posted: 28 Jul 2019 11:18 AM PDT

In the Aurora Discord room someone figured out that a green energy company - Potash America Corp (OTC:PTAM) - is entering the cannabis sector with some type of acquisition of merger. The CEO literally just released a filing that shows he now owns over 80% of the outstanding common shares of the company, and they just added a new section to their website that talks about Cannabis, and actively pursuing companies to invest in. This could be very big if it pans out.

Here is the report from this morning.

    http://equitybulletin.com/2019/07/renewable-energy-company-entering-cannabis-sector-receives-rare-5-star-technical-rating-from-fnw/

I found this most interesting actually...

As of March 31, 2019, the Company announced it has no warrants outstanding with no stock options outstanding. This allows the company to move with technical perimeters, unlike most OTC companies that are restricted based on the number of warrants, stock options outstanding, and toxic notes. PTAM has a clean balance sheet, which makes it able to trade freely.

Looking to get more into day trading

    Posted: 28 Jul 2019 10:28 AM PDT

Like a lot of people I'm new to trading. Decided to take the first small leap and bought a couple shares into Disney and about 10 shares of AMD. I'm not looking to become rich, my goal really is just to supplement my normal income and I'm looking to buy a house soon.

What resources are available to help understand all the nuances of the stock market? I was looking at buying options and it's interesting but don't really understand it all that much.

    Question about Relative Value

    Posted: 28 Jul 2019 01:42 PM PDT

Hi, have a quick question from some summer homework that I'm stuck on: I am thinking of investing in a stock what relative value ratio would I use to compare its price? P/E or EV/EBITA? I think both are valid answers.
