Boeing deliveries fall 37%, set to lose biggest planemaker title Posted: 09 Jul 2019 10:01 AM PDT (Reuters) - Boeing Co said on Tuesday its deliveries fell about 37% to 239 planes in the first half of 2019, hurt by the grounding of its best-selling 737 MAX jets, putting it on track to lose the world's biggest planemaker title after eight years. Boeing's deliveries lagged those of European rival Airbus SE, which handed over as many as 389 planes in the same period, up 28% from a year earlier, according to sources. A new problem identified with the grounded MAX jets last month has delayed the aircraft's entry into service until at least the end of September, disrupting schedules for airline operators and possibly adding to costs for Boeing. Sarepta Therapeutics is a very strong buy right now, because... Posted: 09 Jul 2019 06:42 AM PDT Pfizer just messed up enormously on their genetic - therapy response (medicine) for DMD, which is a terminal sickness that kills by age 30. In Pfizer's trials of their medicine, which they just published last week, they had HORRIBLE results and in one case a boy was admitted to the hospital and needed a blood transfusion. To say the least, it does not work. At all. It may be even safe to say it does more harm than good to patients of DMD - an already terminal illness. Sarepta has a better solution and is the main competitor to Pfizer for DMD. They are working on genetically manipulating the root cause of DMD. Based off studies it seems that Sarepta's actually seemingly works, and the negative attention from Pfizer's mishap is enough alone to propel Sarepta's stock forward. These two are head and head and if one fails the other succeeds. With the successful study on Sarepta's side these two factors are going to ensure that the stock moves forward. This is exactly what Sarepta has been waiting for. In the wake of this news, major investors have been dumping stock into Sarepta - which is always a good buying sign. They also have incredibly strong forecasts and "buy" ratings from top analysts worldwide. Furthermore, stacked with the insight we just obtained on "insider selling," we can see that this is even more-so confirmed based on the fact that Pfizer's team internally is massively dumping / selling their stock in anticipation of their stock dropping enormously. They know things are really bad after this study. This will add ammo to Sarepta's backing and stock price + bullish incentive. SOURCE ON INSIDER SELLS/BUYS = FINTEL.IO/Insiders I believe this is a very safe investment in Sarepta and we will expect +30% - +40% by 2020, to be conservative. [link] [comments] |
The S&P 500 can't rely on multiple expansion to drive returns. Posted: 09 Jul 2019 06:32 PM PDT In 2019, multiple expansion has driven most of the S&P 500's returns. In the chart below, if you look at all the bars dating back to 1999, the current one actually looks the most like 2009. Even though the drop in Q4 2018 wasn't as bad as the decline in 2008, it was significant considering it pushed returns negative in a year with very solid earnings growth. Because stocks fell while earnings grew, there was a large multiple contraction. A lot of the multiple expansion this year is make up for last year. Many investors selling stocks into the trough in 2018 were betting on a recession. That's the only rational explanation for such a multiple contraction. This year is much different from 2009 because 2009's returns were making up for the fact that investors selling stocks in 2008 were pricing in the continuation of unsustainably low earnings. Posted: 09 Jul 2019 11:52 AM PDT What are you thinking with the price relatively high currently despite big name shows being pulled and the advent of a bunch of new streaming services on the rise? Hold, sell, buy? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Jul 2019 05:37 PM PDT What do you guys think of $MELI? It's a lot like Amazon, but much more likely to beat amazon on stock gains. Normally I only invest in stocks I've used and believe in, this is a time where I am considering going outside my comfort zone. I've read posts from this sub a year ago talking about buying into it but they thought it's valuation was too high at the time (it's sinced doubled in value). I don't want to invest just because of FOMO, but from reading into them, they seem highly tailored to working for the long term from where they'll be in 5 years from now which I like a lot. It's a stock similar to how early Amazon was, just located geographically in Latin America. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 09 Jul 2019 02:57 PM PDT Why did HLIT just go up almost 20% after hours? Their earnings release isn't until the 29th.. can't find news about it? [link] [comments] |
$STMH Stem Holdings announces LOI for Acquisition of Seven Leaf Ventures Posted: 09 Jul 2019 06:18 AM PDT This is huge. Major acquisition with a company that ALREADY has millions in revenue. I think we see it go back and re-test $6.70 area.

$300 in fun money left over. Where do I put it? Posted: 09 Jul 2019 05:45 AM PDT Hi All, I have roughly $300 to invest today/this week. I have a slightly aggressive portfolio with annual returns right around 11%. This $300 however is purely for aggressive plays only. Looking to sit on a stock no longer than 2-3 days. I am willing to get fairly aggressive with this. Risk level being right around 8/10. Any thoughts on where I should put it? Thanks, [link] [comments] |
