Posted: 30 Jul 2019 04:58 PM PDT I run a small business in a suburban town. We started as a garage operation and now have a warehouse and manufacturing facility with 12 employees. About a month ago, one of my employees stopped showing up for work. We just found out that he committed a double murder suicide, killing his wife, child and himself. No one, especially myself, saw this coming. He was actually my first employee, always hard working and punctual. I'm blame myself for not doing more to help him and not seeing the signs. We're all kind of in shock and grief right now. I've talked with each employee about mental health resources and taking time off but I feel like there should be something more I could be doing. I would greatly appreciate advice on dealing with tragedy and making sure I do my best to help everyone get through this. [link] [comments]
Opening a second hand bookstore Posted: 31 Jul 2019 03:18 AM PDT It's been my lifelong dream to open a second hand bookstore and I want to make this dream come true. Now I don't want to rush things and prepare myself as well as possible. Where should I start? Where should I direct my questions? What seem to be the pitfalls of opening a second hand bookshop? Let's say things go wrong, what can follow after going bankrupt? I can't really put all my questions here but hope to find people with experience who want to take some time helping me. Thanks in advance [link] [comments]
5 Steps To Growing 1,000 – 3,000 Followers Monthly On Instagram Posted: 30 Jul 2019 07:40 PM PDT Hello, how's your day going? A lot of people have asked how to grow a minimum of 1,000 real followers monthly so My goal today is to tell you how to reach 1,000 – 3,000 followers monthly without spending on ads and all the Bull**** a lot of gurus talk about. Viral marketing is the easiest way to grow an account and this type of growth on Instagram happens when your posts goes viral on the explore page or gets shared a lot, here's how I've been able to help business owners (ecom & local) grow with viral marketing on Instagram.
Is your content too? How good is it? Most people believe their content is good but it isn't, there are only 3 main content types that'll help your posts go viral fast, these are; • Emotional • Educational • Hilarious These content types will get you more shares and saves and these are the first steps towards going viral/almost viral.
I'm angry, very angry, I go on youtube and the Instagram gurus keep telling people to use big hashtags but this is trash, yes it is! Hashtags will only kill your account when overused and are useless if your account hasn't gained momentum (1k
"But everyone's doing influencer marketing" Duuuh! No one gives a fark about your content because an influencer told them to follow you. The dark side of influencer marketing; some influencers send you fake followers to make you believe they've gotten you a good result besides it costs just $2 to buy a thousand fake followers.
The latest algorithm update favours stories and creating viral stories is now easier than ever, all you have to do is; • post a good content type • Add a poll • Add a trending gif But what happens if you can't do Viral IG Marketing? Well, you have to play hard then, here's how to grow 1k followers monthly without viral marketing.
This only works if you have good content and a bio that'll help convert profile visits to followers, here's how you do follow/unfollow that doesn't hurt your account; • Follow 600 people • Wait 3 days • Unfollow 550 • Wait 1 day • Follow 600 again • Rinse & Repeat.
Liking the photos of people who you want to get attention from will get you more followers, here's how to engage profitably; • Go to a hashtag in your niche • Tap the recent tab • Like 300 pictures daily (50 per hour) • Comment on 40 posts (5 per hour) • Rinse & Repeat Got any questions? Feel free to ask or DM Glad to help [link] [comments]
ADA Compliance Lawsuits on the Rise for Small Business Posted: 30 Jul 2019 07:01 AM PDT Recently, there have been several small businesses being hit with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) violations. Even though the actual business space is in compliance, a new wave of lawsuits are due to business websites that are not accessible for those with hearing or sight impairment. I wanted to see if other small business owners were worried about this or thought about this as a potential issue. Any thoughts on this issue? [link] [comments]
How to get clients for a call center support business Posted: 31 Jul 2019 03:13 AM PDT I'm planning to start a call center with some of my friends. We planned for everything from the location to the equipments and we have lots of French and English speakers with fluent and almost native accents. We can provide very competitive prices, our only issue is where and how to get our first clients to start with [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Jul 2019 01:41 AM PDT Hello entrepreneurs and business people - as a fellow small business startup I hope you guys can help me by answering the below questions! Yesterday I asked about scanning needs, and got some really useful insights (about why it may not be such a painful need for everyone). That got me thinking if there are other things that might be a bigger problem. What about faxing? I see a lot of industries still seem to need fax machines and there seem to be some faxing apps so -
We were considering building an app for scanning - but now that we have some feedback from this community, we are trying to see if faxing is a more important need. [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Jul 2019 01:09 AM PDT I have a business amount on IG, where i post pictures of my products and look for genuine enquiries. I have 200-300 followers currently But it seems all bad recently with IG algorithm change. Earlier I could get 30-40 likes, whereas now just 1-10. I want to boost my IG profile, numbers and genuine engagement with customers or followers. Any people who specialise for it? Its a small business so anything really expensive solution would not work as well. [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Jul 2019 12:36 AM PDT Hi all, I've been racking my brain and doing as much research and inspiration searching as I can the past couple of weeks and I can not find a business name that hasn't already been taken. I am starting my own independent music publicity agency and it seems that every good idea I come up with, has already been used for some other music related business. Even my birthday date... This is my last cry for help as I scramble to find a name since I already have clients who are expecting me to send things out on their behalf and I don't have an email to start sending from yet. The business is obviously music related, with a fun and fresh personality, really focusing on the independent acts who might not be able to afford larger-scale PR companies. The name doesn't need to be music related either. My favourite name I've come up with so far is 'Sunday Best' from my favourite Washington song, and then when I searched it, turns out its the record label The Cure used to be on. Any help would be much appreciated! tl;dr - any ideas for a name for a music publicity business? [link] [comments]

What Software products do you guys use on a daily / weekly basis - particularly for marketing? Posted: 30 Jul 2019 11:34 PM PDT Hi everyone, I started a side business a couple of years back that's really taken off through Instagram and my website. I'm reasonably busy, but I'd love a few more clients and to maybe employ someone else to help me soon. I'm having a little trouble figuring out some kind of marketing strategy, and learning the ins and out of digital marketing in general. Are there any Software products you guys can recommend to help me with marketing - I really cannot afford an agency, and I also don't trust them, whatsoever. I have heard loads of horror stories from friends. I'm looking for something to help me visualise my ads and spend on instagram, facebook and pinterest, all in the one place. Thanks everyone :) Amy. Posted: 30 Jul 2019 10:48 PM PDT I'm planning on creating websites for a few local businesses to make a little money on the side. My question to you guys with experience is: is it better to purchase a hosting plan that can house unlimited wordpress sites or is it better to individually host each site on the cheaper plans. This way I could hand over the username and passwords to the clients. Thanks! [link] [comments]

How to calculate the ARPC for a prepaid SaaS? Posted: 30 Jul 2019 09:51 PM PDT I am looking at calculating the average monthly revenues I get from my customers so that I know their monthly "value" and be able to factor in the site's visits+conversion rate in order to set our sale's objectives. The situation is the following: two services, one that sells through a 3 year contract where each generates a revenue of several thousands per month for a handful of customers, while the second one is a prepaid service without contract that costs $50 or less; customers register, buy some credits and spend them with one or several subscriptions for as long as they want and can also spend their credits over some other features. They can also leave and never come back but their account will still show a positive balance. They can also register and fund their account and start a subscription 6 months later... Some prepaid will also pay up front a large amount of money every two or three months, while some others will pay just enough to cover their monthly fees, each month. So this means it's a bit complicated to know who is an active customer within these prepaids unless I just count who has a subscription or used a feature during a given month, which will be different from how many have deposited some funds. How would you calculate the ARPC; By totaling the overall customer revenues (monthly deposits) dividing by the number of only those that currently have a subscription or used a feature? Does that make sense? This however looks more like active users than just customers. I feel like I would cheat by just defining customers by those that have funds in their account, that is my whole issue. An alternative would be to calculate the overall revenues from all customers and just divide their individual total they spent since they registered by the number of months they were in the system (just consider them gone if no funds have been added since 4 months or so). I think this would be misleading though as there is data for several years already. Also, would you mix the postpaid and prepaid revenues? Any hints appreciated, thanks ! [link] [comments]
[CA] Has anyone used CA Corporate Agents for the registered agent services? Posted: 30 Jul 2019 09:42 PM PDT I was wondering if anyone's used CA Corporate Agents or legalfilings for the registered agent services ? CA Corporate Agents charge $50/year (for California) while Northwest Registered Agent charges $125/year . Thanks, [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Jul 2019 07:59 AM PDT I've had this business for about a year now and have more clients than I alone can handle, and zero work/life balance because I work myself too hard. It's time to bring in some help. However, money is very tight as I'm going back to finish my last year of college, so any resources I can use that wouldn't require exorbitant fees to a lawyer would be preferable. Should I list my rental property management service prices on my website? Posted: 30 Jul 2019 09:24 PM PDT I'll be starting a short term (Airbnb/VRBO,etc) property management/hosting company. When I look at the competition in the area, none of them post their prices on their website, but instead want you to contact them to discuss, usually through inadequate forms (leave your email, phone number). This feels annoying and disengenuous to me from a customer perspective, but I'm wondering if I'm alone in this. What are your thoughts- should I post my simple pricing structure online, or not? What to do with a business that always has a lot of cash in the bank? Posted: 30 Jul 2019 12:36 PM PDT I run a web dev agency and we consistently keep around $100k in the bank. Many times more. What are the best ways to put this to use while it's sitting? Kind of at a loss right now. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Jul 2019 09:19 PM PDT Hopefully, this is the right place for this. My boss asked me to brainstorm ideas on new revenue streams. Amazon FBA came to mind first. We have two fully operational business running under one roof. The first is a gourmet specialty food shop, and the second is a bread bakery. The shop sells prepared foods, pastries, and gourmet groceries. We sell our bread on our retail floor, but the majority of their success has come from wholesale accounts. The shop was designed and set up by the owner's good friend, Ina Garten in 1995. We have three private label food products that fly off the shelves every time we get a restock. Customers always ask me if they can order online... We have a long list of wholesale vendors that we buy from regularly. We don't want to sell every product we carry in our shop on Amazon - just the ones we get deals on and ones that sell quickly. One of our vendors sells us imported meats, cheeses, and olive oils. Obviously, we wouldn't want to sell meat and cheese online, but some of the olive oils are only available through this one vendor. I could see those potentially doing well on Amazon. What do you guys think? Thanks! [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Jul 2019 07:34 PM PDT TL;DR- 1). I am looking to have professional conversations with businesses to see where I can improve all aspects of my content/make my pitch professional. 2). I am looking for potential businesses to partner up with and grow. I stream ~50 hours a week on Twitch. This is my full time grind. I am relatively small right now, but I have data to back up growth since I've started this full time. I'm here to network, clean up holes in my pitch, and MAYBE find a business that's on the come up as well and would like to partner. If interested in having a conversation, comment below or message me personally. Thank you for your time. I hope all is well on your end of the world. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Jul 2019 07:00 PM PDT I'm a little bit before the hump where I can pay myself regularly and don't necessarily see the value of paying myself $50-100 a month. Can I give myself one paycheck in November or December for like $1200? From my understanding, the IRS and state will get the same cut, right? I wouldn't do that if I were to hire employees in the future but it's not like I'm going to complain to the Department of Labor that my paychecks are irregular... Is there anything I'm missing?
