What do you exactly look for when reading the newspaper/News and how do you read it. Posted: 10 Jun 2019 09:03 PM PDT I'm a university rising sophomore who's been growing more and more interested in the stock market and valuation and an advisor told me that reading the news (NYT, FT,WSJ) was huge to stay up to date with what the industry is reading. My question is: what exactly am I looking for? Do you read passively and just kinda let the info sink in (I forgot 90% of what I read), do you analyze every case brought upon the paper ? Do you only read the business section or/and also the social/political view (I am guilty of skimming through everything and then reading the business aspect with more attention). All help would be greatly appreciated thank you! [link] [comments] |
