Posted: 16 Jun 2019 09:30 AM PDT I purchased some gold stock after it plummeted, and I have seen a good push back, finally, from the precious metal. I currently have a stop loss at 25%, but now that it's climbed this high, should I reevaluate that and set a higher stop loss? My concern is it could potentially drop lower than my second adjustment and then pop massively, causing me to miss out on huge potential gains coming. What are some strategies, tips, ideas and/or opinions you have? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Jun 2019 05:58 AM PDT Let's say there is some drastic crash where the market drops 50% in a short amount of time. Say I have SPY puts or VIX calls. would I still get paid off? who would even fill me at that point if all the volume is out of the market? even if im legally obligated to my money i feel like there would be some shenanigans going on where i wouldnt get paid because everyone left the market. "Market crash the likes of which have never been seen" if Trump loses in 2020 Posted: 15 Jun 2019 07:00 PM PDT or so he claims in one of his latest tweets. Personally, I say "eh, okay." I could use a good sale. But putting aside the easy attacks, does anyone see any valid reason to expect markets to react poorly (not a teeny dip, but not some historic crash either) based on someone else winning in 2020? I've always been curious about the link between who's in the White House and how it can steer markets. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Jun 2019 06:57 AM PDT Im new to investing, but im highy interested in TEVA because i work there and business is booming,so why is the price dropping?thank you in advance. [link] [comments] |
Is it possible to buy a stock/ETF that predicts a countries future success similar to a company? Posted: 16 Jun 2019 01:36 PM PDT For example: I saw a short documentary how Rwanda is trying to be the next Singapore. I went to Singapore and it was very impressive how far it's come in a short time. I'm not saying Rwanda has any chance of doing this but just wondering if you can buy shares of predicting things like this? Based on my lack of research it's obvious I shouldn't be purchasing these things. Unless it was straight gambling for fun and not investing. But still interested if they exist? [link] [comments] |
How accurate are technical indicators/analysis? Posted: 16 Jun 2019 09:55 AM PDT I was wondering how accurate technical indicators such as oscillators are at predicting stock movement. [link] [comments] |
Google CEO says he wants to reach the next billion users, but has no plans to relaunch in China Posted: 16 Jun 2019 02:07 PM PDT https://www.cnn.com/2019/06/16/tech/google-china-ceo-sundar-pichai/index.html New York(CNN Business) Google was met with outrage last year when it was reported that the company may have been looking to get back into the search engine business in China. The company previously left China in protest over its strict censorship policies — which have only grown more strict. After weeks of criticism, CEO Sundar Pichai said the company abandoned its plans to build a censored search engine, but speculation about whether Google (GOOG) was still angling to return to China has continued to swirl. In an exclusive interview with CNN's Poppy Harlow, Pichai said Google is not actively working on a new Chinese search engine, though he acknowledged that Google isn't about to ignore the country and its hundreds of millions of internet users. Posted: 15 Jun 2019 09:54 PM PDT In the past few days its gone down 3-4$, from $34 per stock to 30.18. Do you guys think it would be smart to invest now. Is it likely that it'll have a rebound? [link] [comments] |
Where do you think the future of BLNK is going? Posted: 16 Jun 2019 09:19 AM PDT I've been extremely excited about BLNK lately. I originally bought 40 shares around $3.47 and sold them when the price began plummeting past $3.10. Recently bought back in, 60 shares at $2.11. My plan from the start was to hold onto the stock for 10-15 years in hopes that BLNK keeps expanding alongside the electric vehicle becoming more mainstream. I feel shitty for selling my original 40 shares, but I was brand new at investing and paniced. When I saw the shares at $2.11, I decided to buy back in, this time more noble and actually holding onto the shares and continuing to buy more when it dips again. What are your opinions on where BLNK goes as a corporation? Do you ever see them selling to a major car brand and boosting their price per share? Or will they stay independent and keep expanding their charging ports at rest stops across America? Or both? Just looking for people's opinion on BLNK and it's future. [link] [comments] |
2X or more leveraged Index funds? Posted: 16 Jun 2019 08:46 AM PDT If over a long period of time the s and p 500 always goes up why shouldn't a long term investor always use a leveraged index fund? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Jun 2019 08:09 AM PDT You can buy more Tencent stock, but Alibaba is Amazon... Baidu is Google, but restricted.. what to do? [link] [comments] |
Is shorting a strict definition? Posted: 15 Jun 2019 06:23 PM PDT Shorting is "an investment or trading strategy that speculates on the decline in a stock or other securities price." basically when you are betting against it. And I know shorting is also technically the strategy of borrowing shares to sell and buying back once it drops to cover the shares you borrowed but essentially its betting against the stock/market/etc. So how come people gets annoyed when people define moves that bets against the market such as buying puts, writing calls, etc as shorting? because if you are buying puts, or writing calls, arent you shorting? or in a short position? Posted: 15 Jun 2019 07:56 PM PDT What do you guys think about GLD? Do you think it will continue the bullish trend?? I have some options in addition to the stocks I own with GLD and just wanting some opinions. Thanks in advance!!! [link] [comments] |
PTN thoughts on drug as a whole and company. Posted: 15 Jun 2019 02:36 PM PDT Hey guys I was looking to start a conversation about PTN I bought 100 shares at 1.30 what are people thinking for this upcoming week I'm hoping $2. What are people thinking for long term since it's a "revolutionary" drug and they basicly don't have a competitor cause of the side effects from the other company's version. Thanks and let me know happy Saturday!🤑🎊 [link] [comments] |
What are some new emerging industries the world has never seen before? Posted: 15 Jun 2019 05:47 PM PDT i.e. space tourism, e-commerce, plant based meats, gene editing, etc.? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Jun 2019 05:46 PM PDT Ive seen a good few adds about stock apps, such as acorn. Are any of them worthwhile? It seems much more convenient than a traditional broker. [link] [comments] |
