Posted: 12 Jun 2019 12:17 PM PDT Sesen Bio (SESN): pre revenue develops a drug for non muscle invasive bladder cancer treatment. They just got fast track approval for their lead candidate vicinium and will be meeting with the FDA for a Biologics License Application later this year. They passed their pre BLA meeting with no additional info requests or safety concerns. Currently non muscle invasive bladder cancer is treated with BCG, a vaccine that is currently undergoing shortages and was developed two decades ago. No drug company wants to make this product since it has garbage margins. There are 75k new cases of bladder cancer, 70% being non muscle invasive. They would currently be treated by BCG vaccine with a 40% nonresponsive rate. This is where Sesens product vicinium comes in. Vicinium is the planned alternate to removing the bladder and surrounding nodes through surgery. This effectively comes down to roughly 20k new patients treated with vicinium on a yearly basis. This does not account for multi year patients or partial responses to BCG that would still get treatment by vicinium. Current market cap is like $150M at just under $2 a share Oncology drugs can struggle to become profitable when commercialized because there is so much money to be made in this space so it is often crowded and you have to sell your treatment method to providers to recommend over other treatment methods. Vicinium, Sesns treatment, would be a stop gap between BCG non responders or partial responders and having to have bladder removal surgery. Aka "Do you want your insurance company to pay for you to try another drug, or do you want us to skip that step and just remove your bladder" Positives: 1) commercialization in 2020-2021 and substantial revenue possibilities in an under met market 2) being bought out by big pharma- AstraZeneca partners with them already and could reasonably buy out the entire org Risks: 1) not getting approval- 82% of drugs passing pre BLA meeting get approval, so 18% chance of no approval and stock gets crushed 2) need funds for commercialization and have an equity Raise that dilutes your ownership in the short term Source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4927833/ [link] [comments] |

Do I have to fulfill an option I sold if I bought it from someone else? Posted: 12 Jun 2019 11:11 AM PDT Example: Let's say person A sells a call option to person B. The underlying stock increases in value above the strike price and instead of exercising the option, person B decides to sell the option to person C to make a profit that way. Now, if person C wants to exercise the option and buy the shares at the strike price, would person B or person A have to fulfill it? I ask because I'm interested in trading options but I'm scared that if I buy an option and then sell it, I become responsible to fulfill that option if someone decides to exercise it and I won't have the necessary funds or stock to do so (naked calls?). If not, how does something like questrade differentiate between options I create then sell, and options I buy then sell? [link] [comments] |

Question: Chinese Index fund GXC vs CHIL Posted: 12 Jun 2019 12:33 PM PDT So I've been wanting to invest in a Chinese Index fund. There is GXC which is around $90, and the newer CHIL from Global X which is much cheaper at around $26 a share. However vol for CHIL is very low, compared to GXC. Should vol and number of traders be taken into effect? Or does it matter, let's say my time horizon is 10-20 years with one of these. Which would be the better choice? [link] [comments] |

Will the cloud related stock bubble eventually burst? Posted: 12 Jun 2019 08:14 AM PDT There is no doubt there is true value in data collection & storing. I also see the industry to continue to grow for the foreseeable future. What I can't wrap my head around is that each cloud related technology being insanely overvalued while said company is not profitable, and in most cases, don't have much pathway to becoming profitable. At the end of the day, you invest your money in a business to receive coupons of certain amounts of money in the future. These coupons come from either equity grown through selling or dividends paid out. With not being profitable, the investor is banking on equity growing though with these insane evaluations, I'd argue that the growth is already priced in (to put it lightly). So you're essentially paying for a piece of technology who is already priced as its envisioned 2022 evaluation. Who's to say said piece of technology is even relevant in 3 years? It would be naive to assume that innovation and start ups of today & the future won't beat out these public, slowing growth entities. With that, I wonder, will we eventually experience the floor suddenly dropping with these stocks? [link] [comments] |
How to receive dividend payment from a company? Posted: 12 Jun 2019 07:00 AM PDT Say I buy shares of a company that pays dividends. How will I know if it is quarterly, semi annually, or annual dividend payments? In addition, more importantly, how will I be able to receive these dividend payments? Can I give them my address? If so where do I do that? Are dividend payments taxable? What form would I use to report those earnings? Thanks.. [link] [comments] |

Might see after trading hours today (uplist to take effect). $2.00+ should be easy now with the new float. [link] [comments] |
