Looking to buy a few blue chip companies experiencing a dip

    Posted: 01 May 2019 11:14 AM PDT

I'm looking for a few good blue chip stocks in a lull, to buy into for long term investing, a la "The Intelligent Investor" strategy. I am also trying to buy companies that I like, or at least am familiar with.

Currently looking at Lyft, AT&T, Tesla, Kraft, Intel, CVS, and Target. Any opinions on these, or other good blue chip, long term buys is much appreciated. Thanks!

RGSE Should I Purchase this Stock at 0.08/share?

    Posted: 01 May 2019 07:47 AM PDT

I have been following Real Goods Solar Energy and feel that they provide a very good product. However, I don't understand why the stock keeps falling. I would like some advice on purchasing this at this low price. Does anyone think this is a good opportunity for long term? I am also considering on biding on 10,000 shares at .04, just to be on the safe side. What are your thoughts?

Beyond Meat raises IPO price to $1.5 billion which still seems cheap for the market leader in a $35 billion target market.

    Posted: 01 May 2019 11:12 AM PDT

The company is targeting a 13% share of the $270 billion US meat sector based on the share that plant based dairy products have won of dairy milk market. "We believe that by applying the same strategy to the plant-based meat category, it can grow to be at least the same proportion of the approximately $270 billion meat category in the United States, which over time would represent a category size of $35 billion in the United States alone" https://sec.report/Document/1655210/000162828018014471/beyondmeats-1.htm

This is not a recommendation to buy or sell. Stocks are not suitable investments for everyone. Please do your own research.

Should you look at the average beta of your portfolio - diversification?

    Posted: 01 May 2019 11:54 AM PDT

Is this worthwhile to monitor? obviously its easy to brand stock x and y as 'tech' and therefore for a diverse portfolio want other industries, but is it worth thinking about having a diverse range of betas in a portfolio?

Would you stop from investing in DPZ (Domino Pizza) because of its high debt?

    Posted: 01 May 2019 10:18 AM PDT

DPZ has a very impressive stock price run for past few years - +300% for past 5 years

Its has impressive annualized revenue growth (22%) for past 5 years - https://i.imgur.com/jZvFwpL.png

Its has impressive annualized net income growth (17%) for past 5 years - https://i.imgur.com/IRgQuno.png

But, its negative ROE (debt more than asset) is scary to me - https://i.imgur.com/lCS8LJP.png

Although it is still a cash positive company, its net cash flow can be negative sometimes - http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=135383&p=irol-fundCashFlowA

I was wondering, if a company is having more debt than asset, is that a red alert? If not, what other aspect I should look into, to consider whether DPZ is a "relatively safe to invest" high growth company?

    Stock Display Utility

    Posted: 01 May 2019 07:22 AM PDT

I'm a small cap investor. I have seven stocks and want to find a single program or utility to tell me the values of each instead of me going to each stock individually. They are on several exchanges in US and UK.

Ideally, if I could put in the purchase price, it would tell me how they are doing. No need for real time updates. Delayed values are fine as I buy long term primarily.
